Republican Senator Ted Cruz thinks we need to “stop attacking pedophiles.” The Texas senator made the brutal (potentially) Freudian slip during a Senate hearing about crime on Tuesday. “Senator Booker also said we should have bipartisan agreement. I think that’s a great idea, we should have bipartisan agreement,” Cruz said. “How ‘bout we all come together and say ‘let’s stop murders?’ How ‘bout we all come together and say ‘let’s stop rapes?’ How ‘bout we all come together and say ‘let’s stop attacking pedophiles?’” (The New Republic)
The reporter for The New Republic called it a Freudian slip, which was kind of him, but I believe, for once in his life, Teddy (let’s go to Cancun) Cruz was speaking his truth, kind of like he did when he was running against Trump.
"Donald does seem to have an issue with women. Donald doesn't like strong women," he said. "Real men don't try to bully women. That's not an action of strength. That's an action of weakness. It's an action of fear. It's an action of a small and petty man who is intimidated by strong women." (Teddy Cruz)… "This man is a pathological liar," Cruz said. "He doesn't know the difference between truth and lies ... in a pattern that is straight out of a psychology text book, he accuses everyone of lying." (Teddy Cruz)… “I want everyone to think about your teenage kids. The president of the United States talks about how great it is to commit adultery. How proud he is. Describes his battles with venereal disease as his own personal Vietnam.” (Teddy Cruz)
So NOW, Teddy (I am a hypocrite) Cruz, once again spoke a truth, and it was and remains a sick, creepy, enabling truth about not only Teddy (go insult my wife and father) Cruz, but most of the entire Republican Nationalist Christian Republican Party.
