Pretending that they are the Reasonable Republicans, you know the MODERATE, SENSIBLE, your average Joe and Joanne  kind of Politicians that those elusive Suburban voters (suburban as in mainly segregated communities), and Independent voters (how in the hell can anyone be Independent when right before their own eyes, the GOP has managed to take away the FREEDOM of Reproductive Rights for Women, Voting Rights for mostly college kids and People of Color, Parental rights to assist their Trans children to healthily transition, rights for the LGBTQ community to present Drag Shows, and of course the RIGHT FOR ANYONE NOT TO DIE FROM MURDER BY MILITARY STYLE ASSAULT WEAPONS.)

Tim Scott and former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley will deliver video messages in Indianapolis on Friday for a National Rifle Association convention at which they will court gun rights activists in the wake of mass shootings in Kentucky and Tennessee in recent days. Remember Sununu, Hutchinson, Scott, and Haley are pretending that Mom and Dad Good Christians Middle of the Road Americans, can rely on them to have hope, to share the Good News, and to make America even greater than Trump!

 

HOLY SHIT, after two recent MASS MURDERS BY ASSAULT WEAPONS, these HYPOCRITES show up at the NRA I imagine with their hands open to accept bribes, and their MIDDLE FINGERS raised high toward the families who lost innocent loved ones due to the NRA’s insistence that all we need are more guns!

 

* Regarding conceal carry, the NRA's website says personal firearms will be permitted in the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium, but firearms will not be allowed at the NRA-ILA Leadership Forum due to the attendance of President Trump. SO, let me understand this. If, as the NRA empathically states, IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH GOOD GUYS WITH GUNS, BAD GUYS DON’T STAND A CHANCE. So, if over 70,000 NRA Good Guys have a gun, how come none of them can have them while Trump speaks. One might imagine this NRA convention would be the safest place on Earth!

How Long Has This Been Going On

 Air Guardsman Arrested in Connection With Leaked Documents Twenty-one-year-old Jack Teixeira of Massachusetts taken into custody.

Mr. Teixeira has been in the Air National Guard since 2019 and is based at Otis Air National Guard Base in Massachusetts, according to his service record. Defense officials said he was a member of the 102nd Intelligence Wing. The wing’s website says its mission is to “provide worldwide precision intelligence and command and control.”

Mr. Teixeira has a rank of airman first class and is a junior Air Force communications specialist, according to his service record. It wasn’t immediately clear why somebody with his job title, Cyber Transport Systems Journeyman, would have access to the types of files that have surfaced. (Wall Street Journal)

The agency says that between 2000, when the drug was approved, and last June, it received reports linking mifepristone to 28 deaths out of the 5.6 million who have used the drug. And in those 28 deaths, the agency said information gaps made it impossible to directly attribute the cause to mifepristone; in some cases, the deaths involved overdoses and coexisting medical conditions.

So it seems that the Republican activist Justices (the use of the word JUSTICE, at least, as I see it, is a misnomer (as a stark reminder, A misnomer is a name that is incorrectly or unsuitably applied), are also Supreme Religious Zealots. So it seems Women’s Reproductive Rights, along with Trans People/Drag Queens/People of Color Liberties do not apply in the Fascist Christian National States of AMERIKA.

 What is the problem with the Electoral Count Act?

The ECA has not been updated since its enactment more than 130 years ago, and it is rife with gaps and ambiguities that make it confusing. Critically, the imprecise language allows for multiple interpretations of key terms. For example:  

 

The ECA sets a national election day per the Constitution, but the law is ambiguous as to what sorts of exceptions could allow states to choose their electoral college members after Election Day. 

 

The ECA makes it too easy for individual members of Congress to try to throw out a state’s results.  

 

The ECA supposedly allows states to resolve their own election results and contests but has no enforcement mechanism to protect those resolutions. 

 

The ECA does not have a clear and concise process for resolving disputes if Congress deadlocks when it meets every four years to tally the electoral votes.   

 

130 years ago, the Electoral Count Act was entered into US Law. An archaic law, which as it has rotted in its years has provided for ONE PERSON ONE VOTE within the United States to become irrelevant. This law has permitted politicians, not the voters, to hide behind the smoke-filled doors doing back-room deals. This law has provided fodder for the foolish to protest the results of an election if, in fact, their candidate did not receive the majority of votes. This law has incited many forms of Insurrection.

 

I am so tired of hearing about swing states and the electoral college votes they contain, meaning that no matter what the voter wishes,  anywhere else, ONLY those states identified as SWING STATE, will matter. 130 years later, and this nation has witnessed the abuse, INTENTIONAL interference of not only the electoral college itself but men and women, who at their own political whims and wishes can actually elect the President.

Genres of fiction from the Supernatural to Horror, are often times the forbearers of the future. Often times both genres present a dark dystopian future, with the authors offering tons of red flags, a myriad of it’s not too late to change, and a plethora of open-your-damned eyes. But just as often we dismiss the warnings and say it is just fiction.

 

Dr. Frankenstein creates Frankenstein. The Republican Party creates Trump. Frankenstein made his creature miserable. The Republicans took a miserable creature and permitted him to remain miserable. The Monster Frankenstein at least has the insight about himself to admit, “I am solitary and abhorred.” Trump knows he is abhorrent but lacks the insight to admit it. The Frankenstein monster retaliates and kills his masters family. Trump retaliates and kills the chances for his creators to challenge him. The Frankenstein monster he never learned social skills or how to act in front of other people. Trump never learned social skills and how to act in front of people. Fiction sometimes is actually FACT!

Police say that multiple people are dead and have been transported to a local hospital following a shooting at an Old National Bank in Louisville, Ky. Deputy Chief Paul Humphrey said the gunman was confirmed dead. (MSNBC)

1241 Police Officers in Louisville Kentucky let’s suppose they are all GOOD GUYS. Let’s take up the second talking point of the Republican NRA Puppet Politicians, the one after “Thoughts and Prayers,” you know how if we had Good Guys With Guns, or more Police Presence EVERYWHERE…

Deputy Chief Paul Humphrey said the gunman was confirmed dead.

 

Yet, even with 1241 Police Officers, a person with a GUN managed to murder 4 good people and wound 9 good people.  I do not want any sob story regarding the MURDERER'S background. I will mourn the 4 good people who died and wish for the physical recovery of the 9 wounded and hope that as much professional time used to heal their physical wounds will be put in place for their mental wounds. 

 

Maybe now, instead of the Republicans taking any action on GUNS, we all will have to plan duck and cover drills for the marketplace, as our children do while in school!
