Trump/Through the Looking Glass

Maddening, sad when something maddening is an ongoing occurrence. Nothing is real; it is as if we all have slipped through the looking glass, as Alice had. Alice’s was a dream, ours is a nightmare. Trump remains a sick, senile, demented demon, enabled by an even more pathetic cast of Republican characters than Alice met while in her imagined Wonderland. Alice in Wonderland/Alice Through the Looking Glass were works of fiction. Living in the Time of Trump is a fact. Help!

`Have you guessed the riddle yet?′ the Hatter said, turning to Alice again. `No, I give it up,′ Alice replied: `what’s the answer?′ `I haven’t the slightest idea,′ said the Hatter. (Lewis Carroll/Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland)… Citing new talks, Trump says he has canceled strikes on Iran tonight. Backtracking again, President Donald Trump announced this afternoon he has “cancelled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran this evening.” (MS NOW)

‘Alice sighed wearily. `I think you might do something better with the time,′ she said, `than waste it in asking riddles that have no answers.′ (Lewis Carroll/Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland)… Trump said the Iran war was ending 16 times since March. (msn)

Alice laughed. “There’s no use trying,” she said: “one can’t believe impossible things.” “I daresay you haven’t had much practice,” said the Queen. “When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” (Lewis Carroll/Through the Looking Glass)… Trump said in a March 13 Truth Social post that Iran was "totally defeated" and said in a post the following day, "We have already destroyed 100% of Iran’s military capability." He’s offered similar assessments daily since then. (POLITIFACT)

“Well, now that we have seen each other,” said the Unicorn, “if you’ll believe in me, I’ll believe in you. Is that a bargain?” (Lewis Carroll/Through the Looking Glass)… Donald Trump has declared the Strait of Hormuz 'permanently open' after secret talks with Xi Jinping, claiming the Chinese leader had agreed to stop arming Iran.
