Why this should be of concern to any American who believes in freedom of speech and the right to protest is that by removing those guardrails, Trump is undermining the liberties that our democracy has always afforded its citizens. Trump has made it clear it is HIS WAY, or no way at all.
Governor Newsom, a Democrat, immediately rebuked the president’s action. “That move is purposefully inflammatory and will only escalate tensions,” Mr. Newsom said, adding that “this is the wrong mission and will erode public trust.” (New York Times)
As with all of Trump’s Fascist intentions, if he is not stopped from creating this nation in his image, he will continue until freedoms, liberties, and equalities are no longer recognizable.
