Not so amusing musings for a Friday!

Walking down very long and dark stairs leading to the basement is real fear, because without a hint of light or the amount of steps I must climb down, I could fall. Walking down those same narrow, dark, foreboding stairs because waiting for me at the bottom of those steps is either a ghost, zombie, or serial killer is perceived fear for me. I can prove that without light or knowledge of where the steps lead I may fall, it is my mind I must convince that once in the basement, no monster exists ready to devour me.

Telling the citizens of the United States that once a same sex couple says “I do” the entire Institution of Marriage will collapse dragging down every single heterosexual marriage is perceived fear. That once anyone is married and they discover they married for anything but love, no longer love the person with whom they said “I do”, or just can’t commit to a monogamous marriage is real fear. Shouting from the highest church pulpit or bully pulpit, or political rally that same sex marriage is something to be afraid of is just a cowards way of avoiding saying, I don’t like Gays, and that is something to be fearful of.

There has been a popular trend in “saying I am sorry” which sadly has been on the rise in the past few years. This trend permits people to say, “if what I said hurt you then I am sorry.” The non apology apology has now evolved into “if you had not insisted on your nasty behavior which motivated me to respond in such a manner as for you to be insulted, then “I am sorry”.

In the past few days a hurricane called Rush Limbaugh had blown exceptionally hard and instead of tearing down the intended targets, females who want the rights to their own reproductive rights and their own bodies the eye of the hurricane fell on the House of Limbaugh instead. This man who usually wields the power of the Conservative Christian God and those who worship a God bent on the denial of rights of anyone deemed the Devil usually never has to pay the consequences of his vile and venom by saying I am sorry. But since Rush’s financial bottom line was beginning to be tampered with and his cash flow becoming less than fluid Mr. Limbaugh tried his begrudgingly best and kind of sort of said I am sorry. His sorry only extended to the two inflammatory words he shouted but excluded the message of chauvinistic, anti-female rhetoric.

And now, those who dictate, create identify the talking points for the Republican/Tea Party candidates and politicians have taken the trend of not saying I am sorry to new immoral heights. Now, as heard on FOX News, the conservative radio, and those pandering to the people who just love to hate for hate’s sake the Linbaugh I am sorry has turned into, “well the Democrats. Progressives, and Liberals do the same thing so unless they are sorry neither are we. Even if what Limbaugh said is conjured up as demeaning, derogatory, disgusting it’s only fair he said it because the other side does the same thing. “I am sorry” has turned into “I am sorry” because I was caught and you made me do it.

If your goals, philosophy, standards are true, and you believe that your platform on civil rights, the economy, jobs, social services is true and strong, then as a political party you should be proud of your accomplishments. If you have God behind your actions, and you know that the way forward is within your own political party, then there should be no doubt in your mind to be open and honest and permit the political system of the United Stated to take shape. If you are right in your vision, then nothing should be in your way.

Then why are the states with a majority of Republican/Tea Party Governors and Legislatures so hell bent on stifling all of its citizens from voting. Why, do these majority of Republican/Tea Party politicians in state after state feel it is necessary to suddenly insist on voter ID’s and knowingly single out the African-American, Latin, Senior, and College Student voters from participating in the Constitutional right of one person one vote? Knowing that history has proven those minorities have a track record of voting Democrat, how come the voter ID laws are being passed in states run by a majority of Republican/Tea Party elected officials?

If what you say you are, you are... what you believe in is the real McCoy...if your politics are the real red, white and blue...if your ideals are above refute... why Republican/Tea Party do you insist on keeping everyone from voting?

And finally, Sister Sarah Palin, one to never quite leave any party but linger in the shadows until the sun goes down, has come forward on FOX News and said, she is proud of the men in the Republican/Tea Party for duking it out in the primaries because that is a true sense of vetting. Sister Sarah, never one not to lend a low blow to the President, then went on to add, that had the Democrats done their vetting of Obama in 08 perhaps America would not be the horrible mess it is currently finds itself.

As is the case with Sister Sarah, history and fact have no place in her reality. Make up your own truth, shout loudly about it and those who also care less about honest and sincere will cheer you on. Sister Sarah forgot that when she was selected as the Vice Presidential candidate to run with John McCain, his handlers spent 5 minutes in the vetting process in choosing her. One wonders how much healthier the political discourse and landscape would have been if maybe they even spent 6 minutes in vetting Sarah Palin.

Once again using the guise of religion as a masquerade for personal bias and bigotry, a self proclaimed man of God has stepped forward to denounce the Gays. It is not that he has the right to hate on his own as he is a mere mortal a creation of the Devine, but since he has received God’s word (and who can argue with God), he insists that the words that sound like like hate are misconstrued and really become a form of love. Somehow once again God has chosen as his representative one more human who understands less about God’s graces, and more about the vile and venom relegated to soulless humans.

I don’t know Kirk Cameron personally, except from the days he was on the television comedy “Growing Pains”, and Mr. Cameron doesn’t know me or the millions of men and women he labels as “unnatural”, “detrimental” calling us “destructive to so many foundations of civilization.” I can assume about him and people like him who love to instill fear and loathing, divide and division, that he is a homophobe, a man who uses religion as a scapegoat for his own bigotry and insecurities.

In an email statement released exclusively to ABCNews.com today, Cameron said that when Morgan asked him to share his views on homosexuality, “I spoke as honestly as I could, but some people believe my responses were not loving toward those in the gay community. That is not true. I can assuredly say that it’s my life’s mission to love all people.” (abc NEWS TV)

Mr. Cameron you are a liar, a liar using your religion to disguise your own human frailties. If your life’s mission is “to love all people” then you in that quest to fulfill your mission of love would not use such ugly language as “unnatural”, “detrimental” and “ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization”. You have little love for all of your personal God’s creations, and have the audacity to pick and choose as if you were a God as to who is good and who is bad, who is deserving of love and who is not!

“I should be able to express moral views on social issues,” he said, “especially those that have been the underpinning of Western civilization for 2,000 years — without being slandered, accused of hate speech, and told from those who preach ‘tolerance’ that I need to either bend my beliefs to their moral standards or be silent when I’m in the public square.” (abc NEWS TV)

Now its about the underpinning of Western Civilization and how those damn Gays are the ruination thereof. In the 2,000 years you recant, how often have the underpinning of any society been tormented and tortured by men and women like you who permitted wars to rage because of religious intolerance. How often have societies fought, destroyed, murdered innocents because the God of their choice was not the God of the advancing army. In the past 2,000 years Mr. Cameron people have been made scapegoats, the enemy, the other, because of men like you who say I know God better then you and I know God better than God.

Debate, Kirk is based on facts, not fiction. Facts, Kirk can be weighed and then a conclusion is made. Love and respect Kirk never ever thrive or originate when slander, sinister, and repulsive language is used. Some of my best friends are Christian also Kirk like some of your best friends are Gay. And when I speak to you about your Christian religious bigotry the Christians who are my friends agree that you have not done the Christian thing and salute my rebuttal. I am not sure why anyone who calls you a friend and happens among other things to be Gay would tolerate your hate filled anger and destructive intent. Are they suffering from the same lack of self esteem as you?

When people lie Kirk Cameron speak it is not about the love of thy neighbor, or an adoration for God, it is simply hate.

I was lucky enough to have had Mrs. Lenore Musoff as my Creative Writing/Drama teacher during my senior year at Taylor Allderdice High School. I have so many wonderful memories while being taught by this talented, caring, professional woman. Her sincere dedication toward and for her students still sands out BIG a I recall sitting in her classroom. But what stands out most is how how she would explain...”... Its not just what you say, or how you say it, but why you say it that makes people remember the moment... Honesty is easy to discount, she continued, but once proven as real it can be as powerful as the mightiest of weapons...”

In this land of political rhetoric, pundit musing, propaganda proliferating, it is hard to discern the real from the ridiculous, the fiction from the fact and the sane from the senseless. 24 hour news has permitted lies to be proven true, innuendo based as truth, and speaking louder as speaking truer. In our political climate where division is promoted as the answer and difference not tolerated, voting has become more about hating the other guy then embracing any guy. And words no longer seem to resonate with reason leaving more it much easier to discount the honesty.

Today on the Andrea Mitchell show on MSNBC, Governor Bob McDonnell (R) had a lot to say and did not want to say too much however about his support of the law requiring women to undergo an ultrasound if considering aborting the fetus she is carrying. Governor McDonnell was happy to have his words resonate throughout his Commonwealth’s legislature when speaking to the predominately Republican/Tea Party politicians, but once his crusade of invasion of women’s reproductive rights grew public and loud this boisterous, brave Governor now does not want to REALLY talk about it.

Well, Andrea, the bill you're talking about is an ultrasound bill that 23 states already have a bill that requires a woman to be offered the ability to see an ultrasound before making a life-changing decision. So when that bill goes into effect, it'll be, I think, in the mainstream of the states in that regard.

Note that Governor McDonnell talks about bills that require a woman to be offered an ultrasound, but Virginia's bill requires her to have one regardless of whether she wants to or her doctor recommends it. (msnbc)

Honesty, Mr. McDonnell starts from fact and does not remain honest when the facts start a free fall.

Yesterday, Mrs. Mitt Romney, Ann graced the sound stage of FOX entertainment and wanted to set the record straight that her life and the life of her husband are much more like that of the average American then the media admits. Ann is hurt that even though they just happen to have what seems a whole lot of money, it means very little. And just like the struggling father looking for employment, the single mother having to decide to buy groceries or pay the rent, the senior citizen barely living on social security, the family without two Cadillacs or five homes hoping their medical insurance rates don’t rise, Ann Romney does not consider herself to be wealthy. Money is secondary Ann Romney insists it is family and friends that make you rich.

Honesty Mrs Ann Romney is not a saccharine response that might as well be written on a Hallmark greeting card. Either you have no idea of reality or your reality is so gilded you are blind to anything honest.

We have been inundated by the crass, ignorant, chauvinistic, rude, crude comments said by Rush Limbaugh, who felt he was the one brave soldier to speak out loudly what many of the cowardly Republican/Tea Party leadership only quietly muttered. From his tower of power as the unofficial, but very official king maker for Republican/Tea Party political “wanna be’s”, Mr Limbaugh thought he was safe to attack women’s rights and kind of a cool cat to require video tapes of women having sex. Shamefully, it took American women, the people who love and respect them to begin to shake the Dome of Power in which Mr. Limbaugh lives. Only when the outcry grew larger then Rush and his bushel of bigots ever imagined did the Republican/Tea Party pundits step forward with criticism of the harsh words. But the Republican/Tea Party presidential candidates when asked for their opinion, never offering it before asked, they laughed, sidestepped and ignored the root of the problem and avoided the ire of the problem maker.

ABC’s George Will told me Sunday on “This Week” that GOP leaders have steered clear of harshly denouncing Limbaugh’s comments because “Republican leaders are afraid of Rush Limbaugh”.

“[House Speaker John] Boehner comes out and says Rush’s language was inappropriate. Using a salad fork for your entree that’s inappropriate. Not this stuff”, Will said. “And it was depressing because what it indicates is that Republican leaders are afraid of Rush Limbaugh. They want to bomb Iran, but they are afraid of Rush Limbaugh”. It is very few and far between for any Conservative pundit to speak honestly about the flaws and cowardice of their own. Mr. Will was honest in comments regarding the lack of backbone or conscience of the Republican/Tea Party candidates.

Why do we continue to permit heretics, hypocrites,and master of hyperbole, speak for God? Why do so many assume that those who live a life other than Godly suddenly have Gods voice and without any question on our part allow them to act like a demigod? When did false prophecy become the correct way to worship God, any God? And where are the real values oriented people correcting the immoral and immensely political heresy of the those who want to hijack the esteem and energy of real religion?

Usually, almost immediately as the tornado touches the ground or the hurricane harasses the earth or the flood waters or blizzards devastate the land, holier than thou, Pat Robertson takes to the Ponzi scheme called 700 Club and inflicts, insights, and insinuates that it is the Gays, or the Muslim, or the women seeking abortions whose UnGod like actions have caused the devastation and destruction. He sits in his studio paid for by uneducated lemming who think money buys you entree to God, and pontificates how God speaks to Mr. Robertson condemning the sinner among us. Mr. Robertson then explains to the fearful, tearful, terrified Christian that Jesus can hate more then love. And Jesus can love you better if you pray and right before that prayer write a check to the Bank of Heaven in care of the 700 Club.

And Mr. Robertson is back on target as he lambasts the citizens stuck in the path of horrendous devastation by the most recent tornado outbreaks and states "If enough people were praying [God] would’ve intervened, you could pray, Jesus stilled the storm, you can still storms,” (700 Club).

And stunningly the only people who seem concerned with this demented machination based on hate, are those who call themselves Liberals/Progressives. Where are the other men and women of the cloth, the Republican/Tea Party candidates who wear Christian Conservatism on a chain dangling from their cold hearts ranting and raving about this crazy man’s devilish dissertations.

We are told there is a war on religion in this America of 2010/2011. We are constantly being warned by Fox News, Franklin Graham, Focus On the Family, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Bishops of the Catholic Church, Orthodox Rabbi’s that our First Amendment rights are being trampled, that the anti-Christ is among us, that all morals and values are being corrupted. And yet an idiot who calls himself a Reverend in the midst of a crisis of life and death doom and destruction sits upon his plastic throne and says, if you would have prayed you could have been saved.

History throughout the world has proven time and time again, once religion enters the foray of blame, once the holier than thou stand upon their pulpits espousing their own interpretation of Gods words, lines in the sand are created and soon erupt into full blown fissures filled with a lava flow ready to melt all in its path. My God, my way, my determination my religion. If I shout louder than you, use meandering self chosen text from the scripture, swear I am God’s messenger I right and you are a sinner.

The people in Ohio, Kentucky who lost their lives, their loved ones, their home, their foundation of life didn’t pray to God and God’s wrath was so great to have created this devastation, and Pat Robertson knows this!!

Why is this nation so loud about a war on religion and so quiet about the soldiers of fortune who like cancer gnaw on the healthy souls trying to destroy their bodies and mind? When do we shout as one holier than thou is never said, but is proven by the deeds done?

Now, those REPUBLICAN/TEA PARTY politicians who have anointed themselves as God’s spokes people...Those who have appointed themselves as the religious crusaders ignoring their own frailties but keen on the sins of everyone else... Those who selectively read the words from their Bible the ones full of bigotry and bias but choosing to ignore the rest of the passage or verse with love and kindness...Those REPUBLICAN/TEA PARTY politicians who insist there is a war on religion but are indeed the foot soldiers for a war against religion...Those individuals who smite the Constitution when it doesn’t fit their own prejudices...Those people are running amok in this great land of ours and are encouraged and motivated by idiots who need an excuse and a hero to hate.

Last week one more right wing Republican/Tea Party politician, crusading for Christ has come forward and identified the next great terrorist to Christianity and the United States-----Single Parents. This state legislator from Wisconsin has a bill in place which would state that Single Parents are child abusers. God, he states, only blesses those families with two parents, two opposite sex parents to be sure. This mad man for God wants Single Parents to be placed on a state record that in fact they are performing child abuse because as Single Parents there are no family values. In normal times we could laugh at this insane and inane jerk, but in America 2012 where the right wing core voter, the lemmings who think without fact just fiction, love this insanity and love to keep their crazies in power.

In Jackson Mississippi a group wanting to hold a march for gay rights was turned down by the REPUBLICAN/TEA PARTY mayor via his police chief for a permit to hold the rally. The group purchased the insurance necessary for the march and submitted the appropriate paper work. But when it came time to issue the approval for the march the group was told by the REPUBLICAN/TEA PARTY politicians that being Gay in Mississippi is illegal thus not recognized. And if they are not recognized then there is no reason to provide these invisible individuals with a permit to protest. In a state capital in a state of the United States of America, Gays are told they are illegal. A population of people who among everything else in their lives happen to be Gay are told you do not exist. And the locals living in Jackson applauded this decision.

In the United States Senate, the US Senate of all places, the Blunt/Rubio Amendment to permit employers or insurance companies to deny coverage for everything from contraceptives to any and all women’s health issues and this anti woman amendment was only defeated by a 3 vote margin. 48 US Senators voted to deny women the right to their own bodies. 45 REPUBLICAN/TEA PARTY Senators along with 3 cowardly DEMOCRAT Senators decided women are too foolish to know what is best for their well being. One of the highest political offices in this nation of ours the US Senate decided that they could better understand the personal and many times difficult choices women make and had the audacity to vote against women and in favor the mean spirited religious zealot full of hypocrisy and hate.

What is happening to this country of ours when phony religious bigotry usurps the rights and freedoms addressed in the Constitution.What is happening to this nation of ours when vile and venomous men like Rush Limbaugh degrade women and only get a chuckle or a slap on the wrist by the men who say if elected they want to represent all of us? What is happening to this Republic of ours when REPUBLICAN/TEA PARTY militants decide who deserves protection and who should be scapegoated? What is happening to this place we call home when religious fanatics so far from any God, and so removed from God’s grace control a political party removing any sense or sensibility and replacing it with divisiveness, divide, and derogatory dialogue. Where are the voices of the many who among other things happen to be Single Parents, Gay, Women? And where are voices of those who love Single Parents, Gays and Women?

These unheralded actions are not going away. These lies and deceptive motions are not diminishing. These attacks on American citizens are not stopping.

And sadly there is still a chance that the REPUBLICAN/TEA PARTY candidates running for president, the highest office of power in the world, still have a chance to govern this nation. I don’t understand how those who discriminate against segments of our population still can be considered to run local, state federal governments. I don’t understand why the OUTCRY is not LOUD, ANGRY, INFURIATED. How many more people need to be left out, shunned, ridiculed, and removed?

What are we waiting for?

Yesterday and today on his conservative radio talk show, Rush Limbaugh continued his harangue toward a Georgetown female who was not permitted to speak with the panel created by Congressman Daryl Issa regarding women and contraceptives.

Yesterday Limbaugh called the woman who wanted to speak about her right to obtain contraceptives and those women like her a SLUT. If you want your employer to pay for your contraceptives he said it is like paying for your sexual activity thus you are a SLUT.

Today Limbaugh added that if you want your contraceptives paid for then what you SLUTS need to do is video tape your sexual acts and play them on You Tube, so Limbaugh and his male cronies can watch.

So, if your wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother, niece or best friend ever used or continues to use contraceptives and has them paid for partially or entirely by insurance then it seems that Rush Limbaugh has just identified them as SLUTS. And in turn those women in your life should begin taping their sexual acts for You Tube.

Sleep Number, Legal Zoom, and Century 21 are three of a few sponsors who pay for his on air time. Do they agree that your mother, wife, daughter, aunt, grandmother, niece, or best friend are SLUTS? Do Sleep Number, Legal Zoom, Century 21 feel that those females you love who use contraceptives paid for partially or in full by insurance companies should video heir sexual activities on You Tube?

Maybe the powers that be at Sleep Number, Legal Zoom, Century 21 are oblivious to this blow hard four time married ignoramus and perhaps they don’t tune into his anti-female bigotry. Maybe they know exactly what this pig says. I have written letters to these companies asking them to explain why they would support a man who calls the mothers, wives, daughters, grandmothers, nieces, aunts, best friends SLUTS and demands they video tape heir sexual acts. I am tired of people like Rush Limbaugh projecting his immoral, uneducated biased prejudice on the air and getting away with it.

Do the people at Sleep Number, Legal Zoom, Century 21 not care? Do they think the residuals of advertising on Limbaugh’s show outweigh the moral, ethical and decay? Do you care?

When George W. first ran for president, his so called brain, Karl Rove, realized that George W. might not be all that popular so Mr. Rove created a non existent situation called the Gay Agenda. Mr. Rove knew that those who use religion as a cover for their own bias and bigotry, would certainly run to the polls if they assumed the Gay Agenda was going to run rampant in America. So Gay marriage, Gay adoption and at the time Gay military service suddenly became the issue to defeat and if you voted for George W. you would find a man as homophobic as you to place those damn homosexuals on the bottom of the the American rung where they belonged.

Mr. Rove was savvy enough to know that the minions of so called Christian champions of culture (aka we hate anyone not like us), needed a made up reason to vote because many to most of them were too confused by facts and truth and all of that stuff just bored them. Provide them with reason to hate and thus reason to vote.

And now in 2012, the devious minds of those who hate America or at least the 99% of Americans living here, have decided it is time to divide and conquer once again. Now the Gays are still taboo and too tantalizing to ignore, but more importantly are the tarts, the whores, the sluts of this nation those women who use and purchase contraceptives. We now hear the same beckon call that religion will slowly disappear, that God will die, and all morals will turn to blood and our country will become a Communist or Socialist Bastion if women have free access to contraceptives. We are now warned as we were when George W. first ran for office, that if we let THOSE people have equal access to the law God will smite all of us and the end of days will come sooner then the Bible or Pat Robertson suggest.

Once again there is a war on religion. Once again the civil rights of Americans as stated in the Constitution are meaningless because God is the one who is really losing his rights. Once again because those in the Republican/Tea Party world of politics who care less about Democracy for all have come up with a sleazy self serving plan to confuse the uneducated religious bigot to keep their legion of losers in power. Once again instead of handling the priorities of this nation like employment, housing, the social safety net, we talk about a war on religion this time headed by an army of women with the audacity to want control of their own reproductive rights.

The sad thing about all this man made bull shit is that American history has demonstrated it works. History has proven that a lemming attitude is a strong stimulus for stupidity. Keep them scared, keep them dumb, keep them divided and keep reason from ever trumping the rhetoric of religion.

I believe in God. The God I believe in is not afraid of Gays or Women, or Immigrants or Muslims. The God I believe in is so powerful that he is not intimidated by the frailties of humans. How come the God the Republican/Tea Party believe in is such a cowardly, timid bigoted deity? How come he is somehow defeated by Gays loving Gays or Women wanting control of heir own bodies?

If the sane don’t yell STOP the insane will inherit this nation.
