How come Friday....

How come...the self proclaimed religious, the ones who Jesus talks to via the 700 Hundred Club, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin and FOX News, look at the Bible as  if it was a Chinese Restaurant Menu. You know the kind, where you can pick one thing from column A, two things from column B, or for Column C pick and choose what you like and make it your order? Why do the self proclaimed crusaders for Christ think that the “thou shalt not’s” that they prefer have more weight then the “thou shalt not’s they refuse to acknowledge? Why are they okay with picking and choosing who to hate, chastise, and spit upon using some kind of misinterpreted Law from a vengeful God, while insisting that the other misconstrued laws of the Bible have little relevance? And how come those who know the truth about God’s love remain silent?

How come...the self proclaimed Patriots, those wearing three cornered hats, wearing rifles on their back or Glock’s from their belt loops, carrying abridged version of the Constitution next to their extra round of ammo and NRA card, consider parts of the Constitution signed sealed and delivered by Jesus, while ignoring the paragraphs and articles only written by the Founding Father’s? You know the guys and gals who don’t believe the separation between Church and State meant anything Christian; or those Tea Party partier’s who love small government except when it comes to sex, love or family planning. And how come real Americans who have taken the time to read the entire Constitution or learn honest American history permit the noise of ignorant and bigoted sound louder then sense and sensibility?

How come...Mitt Romney can be so anti same sex marriage proclaiming God created Adam and Eve for one thing only procreation, and at the same time swearing his love for Mormonism? You know the religion when founded believed in plural marriage, with one man but as many women as you need to be complete. You know the man whose ancestors moved to Mexico to continue plural marriage, (a rose by an name is still polygamy). Why can Mitt feel free to discuss my life as a Gay man, while he refuses to answer any questions about the history of his own religion and the action of his grandparents a few generations removed. And how come those seeking honest and open don’t ask Mr. Romney to explain his own life before sharing an opinion on mine?

How come... those ‘gimme that old time religion, Evangelicals yell and scream that Islam is a cult, a religion of the devil, nothing at all like Christianity? You know the ‘praise the Lord” bunch who like their brethren in Iraq, or Saudi Arabia, like to see the Gays hung, murdered or placed in jail. You know the ones who insist, like their Muslim friends, that God really did not create Gays. No the God these religious hypocrites believe in created hypocrites who decide who God should and could love. And how come the people who go to church or the mosque, who have a real personal relationship with their God don’t call the fools out on just how wrong they are?

How come...the loud are always screaming lies, the vengeful are always blaming others, the moron is taking charge and the ignorant refuse to listen to the truth. And how come... the sane permit this craziness to exist? What the hell is going on, and how come... we let it happen?
