Holy Shit! I call it Bull Shit. Congress, as in the Republican Majority, feigns innocence, or is it ignorance, that they somehow, purposely permitted Trump to run roughshod, and ignore the three branches of government, and to say out loud, “fuck you to the guardrails of governance in this democratic nation.
The truth is, as I see it, that all at once the Republicans, who thought Trump was their gravy train to power, have fallen in prestige and power, and oh my God, he does not have the same CULT standing with Americans as he once had. Be it the Epstein Files, which the Republicans have pretended don’t exist, or the economy, which the Republicans hoped that everyone would ignore, or the sheer autocracy emanating from Trump, which the Republicans thought would keep them in power forever. Still, suddenly the self-serving Republicans have a TRUMP PROBLEM, and it actually might affect their own personal gains.
Congress reclaiming relevance, OMG, as if the Republicans never had a chance to be relevant, relegating their relevance to Trump, because the Republicans thought he was made of Teflon!
