If we are smart people, “WE the people,” WE already understand that the enemy, the true terrorist’s of the state don’t need to climb over a wall to break into our boarders…all they need is to fly in private jets, rent expensive limousines, and walk in $2000 designer shoes. If we are smart people, “WE the people,” already understand that the TRUMP Tower signs placed upon edifices built with foreign materials, eventually rust and are rotted not only pitted with rust from the outside, but indeed are rotting way from the stench of narcissistic, nihilist’s living inside, whose guts glory are based on greed and gluttony. If we are smart people, “WE the people,” must insist that this so called TRUMP WALL on our Southern Boarder, is a contrarian political promise made by a senile selfish man and is just a facade, an illusion to distract America from its real villains…billionaire American families and Corporations whose private lives matter more than the public life, and the Russian oligarchs whose only intention is to ignore democracy, enjoy capitalism and incite the insecure ego of a man baby who does believe when you die, YOU CAN TAKE IT WITH YOU.

Oh, so many crisis’s we face, and in the years of 2017-2018, they all begin and end with Trump/Russia/RNC. Perhaps True believes his TRUMP WALL will be the eighth wonder of the world. But then Trump is permitted to live in a fantasy, farcical world. We the people, must stop letting this world encroach upon our own domain, which so far is leaking democracy, but not yet dead!

Even if you missed viewing the Golden Globes, snippets of the speeches, meme’s of momentary magic or madness, and lots and lots of photos’ of the Entertainment Industry have appeared through social media as well the medium of Cable television. For anyone of the Liberal/Progressive persuasion the Golden Globes often presented a perfect platform for your kind of politics. Seth Meyers reminded us that even though we watch as very wealthy, very elite sit and dine, anointing one another with more gifts, there are REAL average everyday Joe’s and Joanne’s who are also a part of making movies and television, and these people, albeit not making the 6 or 7 figure salaries are a core, a necessary core of and industry that for many seems remote and mysterious. Seth, commented on the dreary news that sexual harassment had top billing this year, and chastised many of us for looking the other way, until there was no other place to look then at ourselves in the mirror. The theme was black, a uniform color to confirm and conform with the idea that women are people too, and that not matter how long women have been considered chattel, NOW, at least in 2018 in the land of Entertainment, all of the sitting in the back of the bus, all of the Jim Crow laws, all of the double standards would cease…perhaps not desist, but heads would roll, names would be taken. There was hope emanating from the Golden Globes. Barbara Streisand counted the decades since she became the first only female director to win an award, and we were provided the opportunity of a standing ovation for Oprah to remind us that our past is still here to haunt us, but going forward, we can exorcise any ghosts of inequality, division, and lack of moral moorings. Chants of Oprah for president rumbled at the Golden Globes, and today, whispers, loud and many remain alive insisting that Oprah consider the opportunity. 

Today, the day after the Golden Globes, the state Senate of the Christian nation/state of Texas passed a law the if a woman wants and abortion, she must first purchase Rape Insurance, as being raped might BE the only permission she has to decide what is best for her mental and physical health regarding pregnancy. Today, the day after the Golden Globes, a man accused by at least 14 women of sexual harassment, and perhaps rape, who bragged and seemingly still brag about grabbing women’s private parts, or sleeping with wives of best friends is still sitting in the Oval office. Today, nothing of substance has been done to REALLY try and stop future hacking of our polling places by the Russians…instead frivolous talk about how the Dems may win the majority in the Senate and House, with little to no regard on the fact that if the Russians and the RNC were successful in hacking the 2016 elections, why wouldn’t they be as successful in doing so for the 2018 election…and maybe even so even if Oprah runs in 2020!

We love our show and tell in this nation. We can all wear black, we can wear a ribbon with a certain color to demand justice, equality, freedom, we can provide facts, trying our best to erase anything fake. We are Americans, and that is what we can do…But this year, we have met an enemy that could GIVE A SHIT, regarding democracy, the Republican Party!  We must begin to fight a different kind of battle. In a way we are once again facing a Civil War. The GOP cannot find power in their policies, but only in their voter restriction laws/gerrymandering/ and collusion with the Russians. I sit at my computer, and honestly even when a little bit of hope crosses my heart, I still worry and wonder…This nation has lost its checks and balances, and we are teetering on the edge of Authoritarianism or worse Fascism. I appreciate the glamor and glitz provided by the Golden Globes…but what is next and how do win this newest American War?

Its like a momentary minute of joy and pleasure, as you “give the finger” to the person who snuck into the parking place you had been waiting for, who then really gives two shits that you behaved accordingly, while he or she just did whatever they wanted, anyway. You kind of laugh as they bump their elbow or better yet the car door slams them in the head, no blood, but a lot of embarrassment, as they try and ease the bruise, all the time walking toward the store…Then you realize that although demonstrating an action of an adolescent, raising your middle finger, felt good for the itzy bitty instant, here YOU are still stuck in the car STILL looking for another parking space. Ah, all the while driving around still calling out that douchebag who selfishly snuck right in front of you, even when your turn signal was announcing itself in a bold amber flash, you realize that even if you feel great screaming and announcing to the world what a real fool that STOLEN PARKING SPACE WAS, he or she IS out and about doing their chores while you are still hunting down another parking space.

“Fire and Fury”, okay, someone put tp paper all of the THINGS we already knew regarding the dangerous and delirious deranged dumb-shit sitting in the Oval Office. Lets laugh at the joker. Lets find great glee in his misdeeds and the self-serving insidious machinations in which he and his team of madmen and madwomen have participated. Who hasn’t provided Trump, Ivanka, Jared, the Klansmen, the Neo Nazi’s the Plutocrats, and Oligarchs in the Trump Administration with the middle finger, a few choice nasty words, and hateful thoughts. So, a book is written, perhaps all true perhaps kind of sort of true, perhaps just a scan of the real body politic taking place at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. But just like the relief we got calling out that ASSHOLE who stole our parking space, the one we waited for, using our polite and social actions, the ASSHOLE in the White House is still living there and still able to fuck up the nation and world in which we live.

Our real anger must not be wasted on a man who lives in his own world, and wears no clothes as he walks the streets, but instead to the Enablers, the GOP, McConnell, Ryan, Nunes, Gowdy, The Senators like Graham and Grassley, Hatch, the families like the Mercers/Koch’s/Adelson’s who permit our democracy to die. Our real anger must be directed to the fact that our 2016 election was hacked and NOTHING has been done to protect our polling places for the 2018 election. Our real anger must still be focused on the fact, that Trump and the Republicans, no matter how disgusting and gross, STILL have the power to create an authoritarian government in this land of ours. It feels good to laugh at the fool, call them names, but when the laughter is over what is next? So what, a book was written telling us EVERYTHING we already knew, and YET that is all we get!

How Much Wood

I remember as a very young kid, being quite confused the first time, I listened as my mother asked the question: “How much wood, would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?” OMG, I thought this must be one of those unanswerable questions, something I must remember as I grew older. And indeed as I grew older, I used that same question on my younger sister, asking her about woodchuck’s watching her face become contorted, as I spewed out the words wood and how much wood. I remember finally figuring out the exact purpose of the “WoodChuck Question, and would use the same silly syllable challenge toward my nieces and nephews. 

Now, it seems to me that the same ridiculous question about how much, any one living thing could chew or chuck, should, could and would be asked about the Republicans in Congress, as to how many excuses, detours, cover ups, and obstruction of the Constitution can they come up with? Of course we ALL (Those of us still not breast feeding off the test of FOX News or Breibart) understand just how guilty Trump is and was during the 2016 election. We ALL understand how hacking, collision, lying led to his illegal nomination, placing him in the White House. But COME ON AMERICA, have you NOT been paying attention to the sinister, shyster, insincere shenanigans played by anyone GOP. Trump IS the enemy of this nation, but his cadre of Fascist enablers make the dangerous demented Orange Man, even more scary and worrisome.

How much bribery, blackmail, could the Russians, bring to the Republicans, if the Russians, really, REALLY wanted to screw America? The real public enemy is not the monster, Trump, but the bevy of Republican politicians who supply him with blood, flesh and oxygen. How much more can we be screwed is the real question! How much hate, can the haters hate, and how much longer must American wait? When do we wise up?

Slowly I Turned

“Slowly I Turned”, The skit, which was well known on the vaudeville circuit, goes something like this: A bedraggled man buttonholes a stranger and tells him a tale of betrayal and vengeance. A rogue seduced his sweetheart. He trailed the miscreant from town to town, finally catching up with him in Niagara Falls, where he pummeled him mercilessly. The hearer of the story haplessly says the magic words, "Niagara Falls," causing the man to turn on him and mete out the same punishment. Where'd that come from? Some remember it as an old Abbott and Costello or Three Stooges routine. Others may recall it from an episode of I Love Lucy. They're all right.

The skit, “Slowly I Turned”, which is a well known Washington DC White House/Trump/GOP Leadership act on the American public circuit goes something like this: A deranged Commander-In-Chief insists he has never colluded with laundered money with nor met with anyone Russian. He feigns innocence while ll the while insisting to his Attorney General to play every conceivable roadblock  into discovering and fact or truth THAT INDEED he the Commander-In-Chief DID break a variety of US laws. The Attorney General, himself on record for lying under oath finds himself in a very precarious situation, always the brunt of a burned out sociopath, permits his cronies, the leadership of the GOP, to pretend that the nation of Russia never really existed and that in fact anyone Russian is only the figment of the imagination’s of the sore losers from the 2016 Presidential Campaign. “Step by Step, inch by inch”…as the skit continues, the Republicans begin their act of treason against both the American public and the American Constitution.  It is as if we ALL in a parody of political madness whose conclusion is only the death of democracy leading to the direction of a dictator, authoritarian government.

Originally, whether it was Abbott and Costello, Lucy or the Three Stooges, the “Slowly I Turned” skit was funny. Watching a sane person suddenly turn crazy, usually made us laugh. But NOW watching a crazy man turn even more bizarre, witnessing a group of politicians placing self interest and party before Country is bewildering. Sitting back helplessly as the Checks and Balances become bogus and broken, is frightening. I beg enough already…For me, all I hear is “Slowly I Turned this nation into nothing but a Fascist/Authoritarian State where freedom and equality are only provided to the wealthy. We must turn against the real enemies of the state, sooner than later!

WWE

I have recently noticed a strange similarity between the WWE (Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment), and FOX News, as both corporations invent stories, present made up characters and at times it is difficult to judge whether WWE or FOX News is the one using steroids. Both WWE and FOX love to create hero’s and showcase the most miserable of villains. Both WWE and FOX, use stereotypes to present a point of view dangling do whisper words or characteristics to those they deem the bad guy. And I might imagine that the audience demographic watching both WWE and FOX are the group who made up the base of Trump supporters. Why even Trump, himself has been on WWE and FOX, and in both cases fabricating some lie, stretching some truth, and deciding who is good and who is bad. I have recently noticed how willingly the audiences of both WWE and FOX believe the imaginary world created by both Corporations. The American public somehow, with the greatest of effort from the Russian government and the leadership of the RNC, have elected a man who represents the sad and dreary world of made up reality, and it seems the WWE and FOX audiences act like junkies want more and more of unsubstantiated truth.

I have noticed the strange similarities between the WWE and the Trump Administration. Aside from the obvious, as I have mentioned above, both groups love to tease their audiences with who is GOOD and who is BAD. With the WWE, a clean cut wrestling superstar suddenly one day out of the blue attacks his Tag Team Partner, or betrays his long time long respected manager, suddenly the SuperStar becomes an instant villain, and with magnificent hocus pocus/smoke and mirrors right in front of your very eyes, the audience as if on cue, boo’s and hisses the one SuperStar they loved and admired and even had them kiss their kids. On Wednesday, January 3, 2018, the Trump Administration followed the same script as the WWE and turned a Trump SuperStar into a Trump evil doer. Steve Bannon, the once acting president, the once heir to the throne, the once most to play Trump in a bio-pic, has become a persona non-grata. Wham bam thank you Ma’am, Mr Bannon the darling of the deranged is now a never was, a has been, and a true enemy of the State of Trump.

Reality TV is  rare bird. It ain’t real, never was, but by many has always seemed to be a version of true life. Reality TV has been a strong odor lingering long in the nostrils of American culture. Why, the USA even, with the help of the hacking Russians and the RNC , elected a reality star to sit in the White House. Reality TV has provided us with the WWE, and the people who control it understand that the public gets tired of the same champion, and the WWE Executives have learned how to change perceptions on a dime. It now seems that Trump has decided to use the tactics of the WWE, by banishing Bannon, I am curious how soon FOX will suddenly burn any Bannon Books and swear to God they never respect Steve bannon ever.  There IS a sucker born every minute

Now, it is the size of a button, not only the size of said button, but just how much more powerful that button can explode a load of nuclear weapons. The Talking Heads giggle about the notion of “my button is bigger than your button”, the Conservative media insists that INDEED Trump has a BIG button, and the Republican Majority in the House and Senate pretend they have knowledge of any button, which bigger or smaller may cause the death of billions of humans on this planet. 

Supposedly we have the 25th Amendment to the Constitution which, when written by a group of mature men and women, all of whom were not concerned with the SIZE of their buttons, was to ensure that a delusional, distraught, deranged President be considered dangerous enough to be removed from the Oval Office, by a joint agreement of the Vice President and the current Cabinet officials. The problem however in the year 2018, under the Trump Button Administration, is that the majority of Cabinet Secretaries and the VP, are also consumed with an array from buttons, they wish to hold to, such as kick backs from lobbyists, free travel to luxurious destinations, secret trade deals with enemy countries, and the fear that they too will be found to be puppets in Putins Grand Puppet Show. So, no matter HOW DANGEROUS Trump has grown, none of the Cabinet members, nor the hacked into office VP will make a move to remove Trump from office.

So here we are, once again finding ourselves reading Tweets, watching the actions of, and transfixed on, the frail and juvenile ego of a narcissist who has never had to face a consequence for his actions, and could give one huge SHIT regarding the consequences of his actions as they relate to the United States, acting repugnant and with willful intent. Add to that the hooting and hollering by the Republican stooges, celebrating Trump as the greatest leader ever, with the mounting evidence that in fact the RNC was involved in colluding with the Russians, and the fearful inbred lunatic fringe at the ready with pitchforks, white robes and white hats, plus a group of Aryan Nationalists carrying symbols of the swaztika to support Trump, what exactly CAN and WILL be done to STOP this MADNESS?  Imagine 8TH grade civics class in a few years from now (if there is still an America a few years from now) when the teacher instructs the students to open up their history books to the chapter titled MY BUTTON IS BIGGER THAN YOURS!
