sister sarah...again
Tweet this Sister Sarah, are you going to bring a mop and broom and help sweep up the oily sludge flowing freely in the Gulf of Mexico. You can wear one of your designer clothes purchased for you during your unfortunate rise to power during the last Presidential campaign. Or spend some of your cash earned while writing your book of lies and machinations (or the money paid as a well versed FOX News Person, news as you see it based on hate and loathing, and purchase a tee shirt with the ‘mavericky’ phrase you so Miss Wasilla-ishly shout, “…Drill Baby Drill…”
Quite a mess in the Gulf, Sister Sarah, ‘doncha thinkie’! Can you see the Gulf from your back porch? Do you actually know where the Gulf of Mexico is located or does one of your handlers (the same people who write your speeches, your Tweeter account, and the words on your hands) have to give you a geography tutorial to find it?
“Death Panels”, Sister Sarah, remember when you gleefully tried to dissuade those who most need medical care from accepting a healthier life for them and their older parents. Remember when you shouted from the safety of a one way dialogue about Obama Care being all about Death Panels”. You actually have invented a new form of communication which I call ‘I bate’. It is like a debate but without an opposing party and absolutely no facts or reason to back up any or all ideas, let alone ideals. You had no real ration or reason to call end of life communication with physicians Death Panels, except that it resonated with the dumb that needed some excuse to hate the black man who was democratically and fairly elected to office. What kind of health insurance do you carry Sister Sarah, or is bartering with the doctors in Alaska for quality medical care sufficient enough?
And now from that podium on a lofty ivory tower, you are being quoted as accusing the President of using racist tones when describing the Nazi like immigration bill passed in Arizona. Racist tone, really? The police are now able to stop at random anyone who looks like an illegal? What exactly does an illegal look like Sister Sarah? Remember the brown shirts and the SS and the Gestapo (or was that ancient history and you were busy rehearsing your pageant walk instead of studying), remember how they had the power to stop ANYONE they deemed the enemy. You love to find enemies in others don’t you, kind makes you more powerful. Racist, Sister Sarah, asking Americans for their papers because they have brown skin or dirty hands, or speak with an accent IS Racist. Ask one of your handlers to go to Wikipedia and look up the definition of racist.
You are a sad person Sister Sarah, built on vengeance, virulent vocals, misdeeds and misguided self serving principles. But the sadder thing is that so many mindless morons out in America are tuning into your noise and without any hesitation. You permit them to hate, you permit them to discriminate, you permit them to step on the Constitution, and you permit their nagging and continuous bias and bigotry to flourish.
You yell fire in the theater as you are exiting out the door, and never once look back as the crowd falls upon themselves trying to escape. What a ‘mavericky’ thing to do.

hind or fore any sight at all
Why do we wonder how something just happened, right in front of our eyes, and wish we had the foresight instead of the hindsight to have done it differently?
Why do we usually react then wish we had become proactive? Why does an issue turn into a problem, then a crisis and the only way it seems to solve it is to declare some kind of war?
Why do we seem to live moment by moment since the beginning of the 2000 decade, and are startled to find out that the accumulation of these entire moments can and usually have dire consequences when the upcoming hour approaches?
“…I am mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore…”, said the character of Howard Beale a news anchor in the hit 1976 movie ‘Network’. His infamous quote resonated after a series of mishaps and misfortunes found him forlorn and floundering. The people of Arizona, in trying to understand the death of a rancher, decided they were not going to take it anymore either. They needed a scapegoat much like any lynch minded mob and decided that any and all illegal immigrants, (or anyone looking like they could be an illegal immigrant from south of the border), would pay the price for the lack of any initiatives of the past to curtail the current issue of immigration. Hurry, hurry rush, rush, incitement of fear, lack of fact and the power of politics to sooth the lemming like masses of the stupid Arizona stopped ‘taking it’ and now like Nazi Germany you need papers to pass through the streets and highway of the ‘Grand Canyon State’. Yesterdays inaction have cause today’s over-reaction.
“An excuse is worse and more terrible than a lie, for an excuse is a lie guarded.” “Stupidity is also a gift of God, but one mustn't misuse it.” Pope John Paul II. And so the Vatican continues to find the bias of the press and the individual actions of its clergy from Priests to Bishops as the main reason the issue of pedophilia has even come to the fore. Not the inability to confront an ongoing agenda of abuse.
It's a big crisis. I think no one should try to diminish that," Cardinal William Levada, head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith, said. He acknowledged that the Vatican was caught by surprise, even though it was well aware of the scope of the U.S. and Irish crises, and blamed "a certain media bias" for keeping the story alive.
Pope Benedict has expressed his sorrow and shame for the abuse, he has wept with victims and made promises for new measures to protect children and bring justice to pedophile priests added Levada. But he (the Pope) has admitted no personal or institutional responsibility, blaming instead the abusers themselves and their bishops for mishandling cases when they arose. Did I hear you speak your Holiness, but it sounded empty and full of exceptions?
An excuse according to the current Pope’s predecessor is ‘just a lie’. You can mask it in poetry, prose or empty promises and it falls to the earth with a resounding thud. Taking no personal blame for an action ignored is the pitter pats of patronization and Papal pilfering of the truth. So quickly the Pope can site verse and chapter as to why the LGBT community can not marry, or contraception is bad, or abortion is a mortal sin, but priests molesting girls and boys, the answer seems to be “I didn’t do it.” It is more of an underwhelming revelation to fight an overwhelming dilemma.
“He had it coming, he had it coming, he only had himself to blame. If you’d have been there, if you had seen it, I betcha you would have done the same.” Lyrics sung by six women who plead not guilty to crimes they admitted to have committed but take no responsibility for their actions as sung in the musical ‘Chicago’, by Kanter and Ebb.
As it defends its business practices before Congress, Goldman Sachs seems to be saying: This is all the result of a big misunderstanding. Goldman officials insisted they did nothing illegal, that customers knew what they were doing, and that they performed a valuable service by allowing their customers to manage business and investment risk.
We were bad but we couldn’t help being bad because we were bad for you, the customer, so say the Wall Street sages in a syncopated well rehearsed chorus. We only plotted and planned, maneuvered and mismanaged your money because in the end your bottom line bolsters our bonuses, except we got the bucks and you got the B.S.
How about the fact that you sold hundreds of millions of that deal after your people knew it was a shitty deal,” Levin demanded after repeating the expletive a half dozen times. “Does that bother you at all?”
The spokespeople from Goldman Sachs seemed to lose their voices as this question was asked but cam back with the ever lovely rendition of if we could we would have done it differently. They never apologized for their actions, but did the shuffle/ball change step of we are sorry if you misunderstood our intentions.
And so the saga continues, the hindsight hemorrhages and everyone who could have seen the writing on the wall (the SEC, the brilliant CEO’s, the Congress, does the redress dance, the none that goes blame, blame, blame but do not even look at me.
After the fact, after all, aftermath we raise to our feet rally the flag, and ring our hands and in unison shout “NEVER AGAIN”! We wreck havoc with no goal in mind, we overdo our outrage, we point fingers at everyone but ourselves. Never satisfies the issue but sooths the souls as we ignore the real reasons and ruminate about false fixes.
Makes you wonder why doesn’t it?

ready to take aim
There is a movement on Facebook to urge the Discovery Channel to not permit Sarah Palin to host a show about nature and Alaska. The “drill baby drill” ex-governor, current tea bagger extraordinaire, best selling author, don’t look me in the eye when speaking to me royalty, has her million dollar per speaking engagement coals in yet another lucrative fire.
This IS America after all in the ought’s of 2000 and mediocre, bland, vitriolic vile histrionics are popular and anyone providing meaningless mayhem to the world is a sought after star. (We worry more about Kate Goslin’s sex life, fret over the Real Housewives of any city, allow demonic discourse from an oxycodone abuser like Limbaugh, and cling to the ranting of an elected official with no knowledge of the Constitution of the nation, Michelle Bachman).
It seems fame and fortune have little class or conscience, and are the cornerstones for average and obnoxious. It seems depth and quality are replaced by despair and quick, and just and fair are voided by stupid and dumb. It seems we like those who spew our private biases, and rally behind anyone who sounds like they speak for all the ills others have enacted and encouraged making us the victims.
More and more it seems Americans have an average attention span of 5 minutes. We demand change and if it does not come fast enough we demand someone else provide the catalyst for change. (This is manifested by the pollsters who predict the nation is ready to vote back into office the Republican bums who gave us 8 years of selfish self-serving government). We no longer demand honesty or fact, but rely on conjecture, assumption, and innuendo. (The entire list of lies accumulated by the party of no from “death panels” to abortion pills regarding the Health Care Reform debate). Our leaders no longer have to prove any point except the point that they agree with how we fear, how we worry and how we can blindly avoid helping others because helping ourselves first is the true Christian way. (Watch Glenn Beck with his blackboard of blasphemy and bigotry)
If common sense was more than a cliché, or a cultural dinosaur of days gone by, if conscience was more than a laughing matter, if concise and correct were more than disposable dalliances, then stopping Sarah Palin from speaking about anything nature or natural would be a slam dunk. But bottom line, instant stardom, lack of integrity, quick sales quicker revenues dominate the headlines and wrong and ridiculous reign over right and serious.
I of course signed the petition to beg Discovery Channel not to allow Sarah Palin to speak about nature and Alaska. I joined the thousands of people asking the Discovery Channel to have a heart and live with reason. I did my duty in trying not to stop free speech, but hoping to harness “free for all” speech. But when the show premiers on Discovery with the smiling face of the ex-Ms Wasilla, I will not be surprised.
I won’t watch the series, but the millions of viewers who do will once again hear from an idiot who is laughing her way to the bank on the backs of people who have no clue how she is using them and abusing them.
I can’t blame Sister Sarah for this opportunity, or for any other opportune moments in the near future. David slayed Goliath, so I suppose the only way we can win back our sanity in this country is to find some skinny little kid with a sling shot. I hear the giant steps of doom marching louder and louder. Are we ready to take aim?

who is a hero
It’s the end of the week and many a news item has made its rounds on the Internet, the Radio, T.V. and Newspapers the prior seven days. I try to find reason and rhyme for the considerations, consternations, callous and cynical recollections of stories which come to the fore. I many times wonder how we settle on heroes, how we defend ourselves from perceived villains, and how we decide right from wrong, and how we become a collective and at the same time seem so selective.
Who is a hero?
Scott Brown ( R) Senator from Massachusetts has erupted onto the theatrical political stage as a new star, a new sensation an “everyman”. Through the dissent of MA voters, the arrogant and uncharismatic campaigning of his democratic rival for Senator Kennedy’s ex seat, the perceived excess of Washington and the fear of the President, Senator Brown won his election. He has severed the people of Massachusetts as their junior senator since November of 2010. And now he is being asked about his aspirations for President in anticipation of the 2012 campaign. His national track record is minimal to say the least but all of the sudden there is cult worship for this man. Senator Brown was interviewed recently and said the following, “…he thinks former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is qualified to be president but right now he’s supporting former Gov. Mitt Romney for the 2012 Republican nomination…” As for his own ambitions he’ ruling out any run for the presidency during the next election.
Are Americans so ready to stop believing in change you can hope for and now ready, so quickly to jump aboard hope that hasn’t even happened? Are we so ready to have “insti” everything, only have the patience to wait for milliliters of moments to receive immediate gratification? Are we so unsure of the sure thing that we need the next sure thing to surface only to find nothing sure thing about it? Senator Brown running for president because he is best or better than no one else; Senator Brown a hero because he happened to be in the right place at the wrong time? Really?
Senator John McCain ( R) Senator from Arizona fought hard for his country in Viet Nam and came home from a prison camp as a hero. His valor and vigor in defending his country was well appreciated and he was elected to Senate and has served in that position for 24 years.
He was a self described maverick who declared loud and proud he was an independent thinker and politician of and by the people. Then Mr. Mc Cain ran for president and started to change… and not change you can believe in. Without much due process, hindsight, or foresight he asked Sarah Palin to become his running mate. Most historians have stated she was selected in response to the possibility of Hilary Clinton’s supposed nomination by the Dems, and the possible rejection of the Republicans of asking his partner in crime Joe Lieberman to be the VP nominee). When asked why he (Mr. McCain did not do a thorough vetting process for his under qualified running mate, who at Mr. McCain advancing age had a better percentage rate to become President), the hero of Viet Nam said the past is the past and I do not answer for the past.
Senator Mc Cain who stated that he would consider the repeal of DADT if the military brass thought the idea had merit, flip flopped on that idea when in fact the top military officers said it made sense to repeal. (It seemed the more vocal Tea Bag community who identify as Christians felt equality was not the Christian thing to do and threatened to not vote for Mr. McCain if he sided with “gays”) And Mr. “mavericky” Mc Cain’s first approach on immigration as a champion to find a path for citizenship for the roughly 12 million undocumented immigrants has instead turned into a champion for the Arizona National Guard to guard the boarder and for anyone deemed suspicious in the yes of the law to produce identification. (Remember in the glory days of the Nazi’s anyone looking Jewish could be stopped and asked for papers).
A hero no more Senator McCain, or a hero with without the cape the halo the moral backbone; a man who needs to feed the lowest common denominator, and who steps off the high road to travel in the mud?
America needs hope, help and heroes. We used to want women and men who had conscience, merit, voice and virtue. We now seem to want someone, anyone who can do a quick “abracadabra” and immediately save the moment. Amazing to me how heroes rise and how they fall. And most interesting who it is we deem even desirable to worship.

earth day
Earth Day 2010.
Depending on whose calculations or calendar you follow this years celebration of Earth Day commemorates millions of years of mountains to molehills, reptiles to rock, or thousands of years of creation to civilization, sinners to saints and demons to angels.
550 million years ago the Paleozoic Era began providing us with the Cambrian Period (invertebrate sea life), Ordovician Period (first known fishes), Carboniferous Period (early insects), and the Permian Period (early reptiles and mammals).
This was followed by the Mezoic Era about 195 million of years ago providing us with the Jurassic Period (early large dinosaurs), the Cretaceous Period (more dinosaurs, birds, creatures with pouches).
The Cenozoic Era about 60 million years ago giving way to the Pleistocene Period aka the Ice Age (various forms of early humans), and the Holocene Period (the last 3000 years known as history).
Two centuries ago we entered the Industrial Age Era (a time of great growth and prosperity for the world) and a time in which materials mattered more than matter from which the earth was formed. It became a time of great promise with the present more prominent and the future floundering to be saved by some future civilization.
A century ago the Persian Oil Age Era came to the fore (when the first wells were drilled in Persia and the boom for petroleum began) and the need for more using all and saving none became a mantra for the powerful, dominate and wealthy.
Twenty years ago we entered the Reaganomics Period (with the intention to increase on domestic spending while lowering taxes, providing lower marginal tax rates in conjunction with simplified tax codes and continued deregulation.) Providing this county with reduced government spending, reduced income and capital gains marginal tax rates, reduced government regulation of the economy, control of the money supply to reduce inflation. And more concern for the green back and less concern for the green earth.
Ten years ago we entered the Bush/Cheney Period (dismantling safeguards, ignoring climate concerns, marginalizing sound science and catering to industries that endangered Americans' health and natural heritage.) And a time for the bottom line of corporations to become behemoth and breaking the backs of the common man. It was a time when Bush/Cheney roll backed the “Roadless Rule” passed by President Clinton. This rollback would open up 58 million acres of national forest to logging, road building, and coal, oil and gas leasing. It was the time of the Dick Cheney National Energy Plan, calling for the expediting of drilling on public lands, including the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and the western Arctic. And as a special bonus the President reneged on a campaign promise to reduce CO2 emissions from power plants.
A year and half ago we entered the Palin Period. (A time when the resonating ruminations of “Drill Baby Drill” roamed the seashore, prairies and mountainsides of the great Nation) It was joined in chorus by Glenn Beck calling Al Gore a liar, the Evangelical Christian community torn between the Earth God created and the Earth from which their mega-churches could make huge profits by still investing in pollution and the Neo Cons who insist we needed to nuke the Earth of its villains so we all can live happily ever after on radiation and acid rain.
The year 2012 may be known as the Tea Party Period (A potential age when no regulations, no rules, more of the “we and less of the they” exist). A time perhaps, predicted by the Mayan calendar, when in fact the Earth as we know of will no longer flow on its normal path. It will no longer; exhibit rules, less regulations, more CO2, less fresh air, richer rich and poorer poor, science gone superstition alive.
Happy Earth Day Earthlings, it took millions of years to get this far and perhaps just a second of time to wish it all away.

national prayer day
So now it is an issue of prayer for the Congress of the United States, as about two dozen members of Congress condemned a federal judge’s ruling that the National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional, saying prayer has long been part of the country’s history.
A federal judge in Wisconsin ruled last week that the National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional because it amounts to call for religious action. The Freedom From Religious Foundation group filed a lawsuit against the federal government arguing the day violated the separation between church and state. Republican Indiana Congressman Mike Pence said “…the American people believe in prayer…they believe that prayer changes things…” In her ruling, U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb wrote that the government can no more enact laws supporting a day of prayer than can it encourage citizens to fast during Ramadan, attend a synagogue or practice magic. Republican Lamar Smith of Texas has introduced a resolution in support of the National Day of Prayer, calling it constitutional and “…a fitting acknowledgment of our nations religious history…”; all Americans, all with a different view on the purpose posture and pomposity of religion in this country.
And so we search for definition in this country, as to how religion matters, makes us mad, minds our business, remains both an obstacle and goal, repudiates rights, and ruminates loudly and clearly to define we versus they. We seem to think brandishing religious banter will make our side better or dismissing non-religious ruffians as rowdy and ragtag demons who destroy democracy.
We define our religion as the correct connection to God. We insist that this country was founded on Judeo-Christian philosophy. We promote morals and ethics based on the New Testament, the Bible, and only recently yet reluctantly include the Book of Mormon and the Koran. We talk the talk but somehow don’t walk the walk when it comes to the ideals and ideas which seem to find ideological wedges and leave us far from shore.
Prayer is fine if that is what you need to calm the waters, find resolve, seek hope and even find a source of salvation from the tedious and tiring traumas of the world. Prayer is fine if it leads you to a path of peace, a source of contentment, a place of positive.
But somehow prayer in this country is not all of glowing gloriosity. It becomes politics, it becomes divisive, it becomes a litmus test of right and wrong, correct and error, good and bad.
Do we pray for the homeless, and then turn those prayers into actions finding legislation to help them with employment, medical care, and housing? Do we pray for the minorities decide through prayer separate is not equal, the color of the skin is just pigmentation, and the sexual preference is not a life style but a life? Do we use prayer for education understanding that diversity is a delight and not devil driven, that we all are difference and in that difference there is actually some commonality? Do we?
I am a spiritual man, I find comfort in the God I in which I choose to pray. Every day for me is a National Prayer Day. Every day I seek comfort and solace.
I get so tired of the word prayer being marketed as one who is holier than thou, that the process of prayer elevates you to a higher place in life, which the action of prayer is more important than the intent to pray.
If we believe in a Higher Power/God/Mother Nature/Science/Life lets start behaving in a manner which makes us less of a hypocrite and more of a human. Lets pray to find a common ground and not a common enemy.

groundhog day
“It’s Groundhog Day, The Movie” all over again. It’s as if the past meant nothing and the future is as far away as the sun, and the present is recoiled, recalled, replayed and no one wants to be reminded.
This country suffered the pangs and pointless ranting of Senator Joseph McCarthy as he “found a red under every bed”. Innocents who felt that America provided for free speech, dissent in thought, sharing of opinions were asked instead, “…are you now or have you ever been a communist”? And under the guise of protecting America Senator McCarthy and his horde of “red hunters” scoured the corners of this nation to notify those who didn’t sing America the Beautiful in the same chord, did not recite the Pledge of Allegiance with the correct intonation, did not adhere to the correct version of the Constitution were enemies of the state.
Now we have a new commie, socialist, anti patriotic gamesman, who has begun to define his America, develop his Mormon check list, his categories of bad guys/gals, and his blackboard filled with fabrications, fallacies and fable, Glenn Beck.
New enemies of the state are now identified with dubious distinction filled with innuendo, gaseous gaps of truth, and tedious tirades of filtered facts, and out of sync lyrics which never seem to fit the movement of the mouth. And they happen for the most part to not look like Glenn Beck, live near Glenn Beck and almost always never read or try to decipher what is real from what is what they hope is real.
Once again those who have an altering opinion who speak for minorities, the poor, the biased are pronounced to be destroyers of the democracy.
Eight years of Republican control in the Congress with a dictatorship duo of Bush and Cheney making the rich richer, the nation an enemy state of its allies, budget deficits loom large, no financial oversight, the end of habeas corpus, a widening wedge of trust between its citizenry, took this country to a frail and frazzled frontier.
Now, America seems to be delighted to retread the Republicans from failures past to rekindle America. They want to bring back the boys who invented “Contract with America”, who promoted Wall Street to go untethered, who pointed out immoral and unethical behaviors of others (while partaking in their own insidious disregard for value, character or conscience actions) and permit them to repeat their double standard hypocritical politics.
‘Newtie’ Gingrich is back in the saddle running for potential presidential aspirations. Dick Armey has returned to promote his version of self serving demagoguery, and Karl Rove is back rewriting history using text from Tales of the Darkside and The Twilight Zone.
The boys from the OK Corral are taking back the streets as they did in the days of the Wild West with their new world view of might is right. The militias of the Revolutionary War era are demanding that we hold another tea party uprising, this time not against the King of England but against an ‘uppity black man’, the American Nazi Party is reliving the grand days of Adolph Hitler and World War II atrocities by going after those pesky illegal’s and wanting to eliminate them from a country created for white folk by white folk, who also happen to be true Christian white folk. And Americans are celebrating individuals who represent the dumbing down of America like Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, and Rick Perry who remind them of the guy they voted for President (George Bush) thinking having a beer with Bush is a great way to elect a leader.
Change is good, and as Americans we need to continue change but in making change why just exchange the past for the present? When do merits, reason, rational become the priority instead of emotion, mirrored images, and immoral display of behavior? Why is this one country where history is permitted to repeat itself?
Groundhog Day is gift that doesn’t give; it just delays the good and replaces it with the same old same old. Stop the madness, please. Let's celebrate a new holiday, one that promotes promise and pride. Please.

my gun, my way
The U.S. Constitution; it was written for some, and readily available to be denied to others. Its interpretation is easily translated to include certain rights, and just as easily misinterpreted to exclude other rights depending on your own definition of “We the people…” At least the militia minded self proclaimed patriots of America 2010 seem to think so.
The current amendment du jour, of the Constitution being bandied about, holstered, ammunitioned, and loaded is the Second Amendment which states that “…A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed…”
Seems the freedom lovers who are busy now minding the Constitution were somewhat distracted or less delusionary when in November 1999 Bush is appointed President by the Supreme Court. Thousands of voters were illegally disqualified after a massive election fraud perpetrated by his brother Jed in Florida, and in his second term of office no more protection from unlawful searches and seizures when Habeas Corpus was eliminated with George Bush proclaiming ‘…don’t throw the Constitution in my face during a time of war…’
On April 19 Open-carry gun enthusiasts plan to have their pistols loaded and openly carried at an organized rally because they are concerned about health-care reform, climate control, bank bailouts, drug laws and President Obama’s capitulation to a totalitarian socialism that will trample individual rights. The attendees at this rally contend that ‘packing heat’ on the doorsteps of the federal government is within the mainstream of political speech.
The people are going to threaten the democratic system because the democratically elected President is black, the democratically elected Congress is majority democrats, and since their man/woman did not win sufficient enough votes in November, they (the militia minded patriots) are going to shoot their way back into power.
They all say they are coming to ‘Restore the Constitution’ and they add brandishing weapons is “…not just an important symbol but a reminder of who we are…’ And the whose who of ‘who we are’ include Mike Vanerberg, who advocated throwing bricks through the windows of Democrats who for voted for the health-care bill, Tom Fernandez, who has established a nation call tree to mobilize an armed resistance to any government order to seize firearms, and former Arizona Sheriff Richard Mack who refused to enforce the Brady Law.
The day they plan this show of force rally is also the anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombings, which militia patriot Timothy McVeigh decided that American justice did not suit him and using his weapons was his second amendment right.
This rally comes a day after the Nazi Socialist's of America held a protest rally in Los Angeles to protest illegal immigrants and sanctuary cities. The leader of the Nazi movement stated that America was founded by white people as a white people's nation. I suppose he forgot about the American Indians who lived here way before the boys from Europe arrived. ( I am curious however as to who is the real Nazi? According to the Tea Baggers Obama is portrayed as a Hitler like Nazi, according to this American fascist group Obama is the enemy.)
The pro gun anywhere anytime militias claim they are preserving the God given rights as proclaimed by our founding Christian fathers. They pick and choose which fact fits, and they readily will draw guns if the real facts get in the way. Its about might not right.
The sad thing is the Republicans who opened this can of worms seems to look the other way and feel kind of chipper that the loaded riffles are not pointed at them. But once a bully begins his reign of terror is the King of the block, the owner of souls and does not kindly to having his/her privileges traded for fair and equal.
A long time ago Joseph Story, Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court wrote his Magisterial Commentaries on the Constitution and had it published in 1833. He had tackled the various amendments of the constitution and knew that some article some amendments could cause some to misconstrue their original virtue and some could cause self identified meaning to support a self identified cause.
“…There is certainly no small danger, that indifference may lead to disgust, and disgust to contempt; and thus gradually undermine all the protection intended by this clause of our national bill of rights….”
“…How it is practicable to keep the people duly armed without some organization, it is difficult to see…”
So now we in America are trading the ballot for the bullet. We through in a few words about God, wring our hands in a bloody red white and blue, and self victimize trying to blame others for our lack of civil discourse.
Get ready America, right now its the democrats in office who are on the bulls eye, after that is it all Hispanics in the U.S., Gays and Lesbians, Non- Evangelical Christians, (yep even you Mormons Glenn Beck), Jews, and just about anybody who acts "uppity"?
When do we read the Constitution as a blueprint for democracy not for hatred, bigotry, fear and separation of we they?
What a great way to celebrate the Oklahoma City bombings.

unreasonable resonation's
Unreasonable resonation's! Yep, it seems now a day’s fact is folly, emotion is education with added concern for the foolish and selfishness then becomes reason du jour.
Fight back with fable, deny responsibility, and do as I say not as I do. Find a scapegoat so the boogie man stays away from my house. Admit you are right, they are wrong, throw in some nonscientific shenanigans, mix some religious dated dogma, say it’s for the kids, and dance in front of an aborted American flag. Shout a lie long enough so it echoes back as the truth. Rely on fiction avoiding all facts and scream louder and longer than your perceived opponent and the game is yours.
And with the small minds of many Americans, the bigoted bias of some, the lack of memory by most, anything but real, honest or sincere grabs the headlines and becomes priority to protest and pertinent in proclaiming an enemy.
My stomach grows pained when I read about the latest series of hypocrisy, self victimization, bully pulpits, phony politicians, and religious leaders who so boldly say they speak for God, but are mute in reciting the meaning of God’s words.
Cardinal Tarcisco Bertone the Pope’s ‘number two man’ who is sometimes called “the deputy pope” told a news conference in Santiago Chile, “ Many psychologists and psychiatrists have shown there is no link between celibacy and pedophilia, but many others have shown, I have been recently told there is a relationship between homosexuality and pedophilia.”
Wow, maybe if you lie loud enough exaggerate the facts big enough the fact that your responsibility (the Vatican) will be ignored and fingers pointed away from yourself will ease the burden of your own guilt.
Not handling each and every molestation case done by your priests to both boys and girls is just an inconvenient truth, but blasting out against the Gays is your saving grace. Not owning up to your own cross to bear, but crucifying others for your sins makes you a better Catholic. Cast dispersions on others and hide in a cloak of denial and deceit.
Mike Huckabee a possible Republican presidential candidate in 2012 says the effort to allow gays and lesbians to marry is comparable to legalizing incest, polygamy and drug use. Huckabee added as he spoke to the audience at The College of New Jersey in Ewing N.J. that gay people should not be permitted to adopt, as “children are not puppies.” The former Arkansas governor added to his list of baseless and bile statements that “I don’t have to prove that marriage is a man and a woman in a relationship for life…but they (the activists who want to change the law), have to prove that two men can have an equally definable relationship called marriage and somehow that can mean the same thing.”
Really so all heterosexual marriages have the exact same goals, definitions, and purpose. Once a man marries a woman, no matter how unique they are as individuals the bottom line for all heterosexual couples is the same. So when one man cheats on his wife because he didn’t love her in the first place all men cheat on their wives? So when a woman marries a man for status and money all women marry for status and money? So when there is no love left in a marriage but just sham and shame resulting in discord and distance in the home all marriages fall into the dumps?
A man marrying a man, falling in love with his soul mate, dedicated in love and honor to his partner means little to less than a female and male who love honor and respect marriage? So adultery and infidelity by a heterosexual male has different purpose and can be excused and does not disturb the Institution of Marriage?
And all those puppies’ gay men seem to gather and inappropriately call a family, has anyone, like you ex-governor Huckabee, have you even asked them if they feel loved? How many heterosexual families give birth to their children, ignore their children, despise their children and stop providing their children with true love, true human values? What about those kids living in homes where mother or father have abandoned them, or where abuse reigns supreme, or emotion is a foreign word. Are those kids not forgotten pets? Have you asked the kids whose parents send them off to boarding school, who hire maids, butlers and nanny’s to raise them if they feel loved?
Mr. Huckabee why not just admit you have no idea about the meaning of Gods’ word, so you fill in the gap with your personal crap.
I remember when kids would try and pick on others thinking by doing so no one would notice their own flaws or failings. I remember when you needed to find a scapegoat for fear that if you would be a victim of hate, harassment, if you did not point the finger outward.
Seems the cowardliness of blaming others for your own faults is a popular trend now days. From the “tea party brigade who just don’t want to follow rules or pay their faire share in the community, to the “birthers”, who just are so uncomfortable in their own skin so they admonish someone whose skin color is not white, to Evangelicals who use blasphemy whenever they say they are following Jesus’ words and works, it seems no one wants to take responsibility for their behavior. Blame someone else; victimize them for your own inadequacies.
And then there those of us who allow the unreasonable to resonate; we look the other way, we shake our heads rolling our eyes skyward, we think they will go away. But they never do, and like a rolling stone they gather moss and get larger. Worries me that the stone is turning into a boulder, and the boulder into an immoveable mountain and instead of crossing over the plateau, we seem to find a detour and avoid our original path.
And the resonating of unreasonable rhetoric gets louder and louder.
