why don' it matter

The House Subcommittee on the Constitution will stage a hearing on Thursday for a bill that would ban all abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy in the District of Colombia. However Rep. And so in this land of democracy and the Constitution, and red white and blue as preached by the Republican/Tea Party when it comes to women all of that shit just don’t matter! And over and over again we are scolded that issues such as a woman’s rights to decide her own reproductive issues is just a distraction from the real issue---jobs and the economy. Women in the eyes of the Republican/Tea Party mavens are just too stupid to understand their own bodies. And having an elected Representative from the district in which laws are being made is an inconsequential irritant. 

And somehow, the 2012 election is going to be a close one??????????

Millionaires, and some billionaires paying lots of secret money to political PACS in order to nominate other wealthy men and women are donors to FOX New, people like Rush Limbaugh, and fringe groups anti Gay, Women and People of Color. These very rich men and women whose income as increased during the Bush years, and the last four years of Obama using savvy marketing agencies promoting lies and fabrication somehow are appealing to a majority of the American public.

Via the wizardry of innuendo, racism, homophobia, hate and bigotry, the average American,earning average and less then average income; spending more and more on health insurance, medications, food and rent has found their wealthy puppet masters the victims of an economy favoring the rich over the poor. In what one might consider a Twilight Zone episode, the wealthy manipulators have managed for the poor and middle class lemming to consider the elderly, laborers, unemployed like leaches all lazy and wanting something from the nothing they have contributed. And the Americans targeted by Fox News, Evangelical Preachers, Family Research Council, who have more in common with the needs of the poor, middle class, unemployed, underemployed have been hypnotized to believe it is the ultra rich who deserve more from American then they.

For some reason be it voodoo, magic hocus pocus, those who most need support from the government want less government. They insist their own poverty, lack of educational opportunities, poor work conditions, rising health care costs are the results of people just like them and not the 1% who once the election is over will have no regard for any of them.

And somehow, the 2012 election is going to be a close one??????????

I am so confused as to what is going on in this nation and in particular to the citizens of this great nation. Reason, rational, intelligence, insight, fair and equal no longer matter. Hate, vindictive, bigotry, lies, jealousy, manipulation, fiction have taken precedent over the minds and souls of too many an American. Religious dogma, false prophets, self serving men and women have become examples and role models. Truth is amply squelched, honor and respect dismissed, and purpose no longer important.

And what I am the most sad about is why do the smart, the educated, those who have an honest relationship with God, believers in the Constitution, practitioners of fair and equal remain so silent as the noise of the negative resonates so loud. 

Why does it seem truth and good just don’t matter???????
