American Headlines 2024

 AMERICAN HEADLINES, in the year 2024. Crazy people pretending to be parents, permitting their kids to acquire diseases that were almost eradicated when those same crazy parents were children themselves. Insecure hypocrites insist that Liberty and Freedoms, such as speech and what is read, belong to themselves, insisting that somehow IF THEY AND ONLY THEY PROHIBIT FAIR AND EQUAL FOR OTHERS, it translates into freedom for everyone. 

The U.S. has now tallied at least 59 confirmed or suspected measles cases investigated so far this year by authorities in 17 states — more than the number of cases reported nationwide in all of 2023. It comes as health officials are grappling with multiple major outbreaks of the highly contagious virus around the world. (CBS News)

 

Supreme Court declines to lift ban on Texas college campus drag show. The LGBTQ group says its members’ free speech rights under the Constitution's First Amendment were violated, pointing to a university policy that bars administrators from denying access to facilities based on the political, religious or ideological views. Moms for Liberty to advise librarians on book removals in Florida. Moms for Liberty members made up three of six members of a Department of Education workgroup that met Thursday in Tallahassee to redevelop an online training program for school librarians and media specialists following a 2023 state law focused on book challenges. BUT SOMEHOW, in GEORGIA, it is the folks who are trying to keep Democracy alive and well and to help it continue to flourish who have become the lawbreakers, NOT TRUMP, the guy who tried his best to commit election fraud. 

Nathan Wade, the lead prosecutor in the Fulton County election interference case against Former President Trump and his co-defendants, has resigned as special prosecutor following a ruling by the judge overseeing the case. (ABC News)

 

How when, and where will our Democracy THRIVE. Each day, we are drawing closer to embracing a Fascist and Fascism. And so far, it seems, at least to me, Democracy is hanging on by a thread.  We ALL must fight the good fight, and we ALL must win!
