Once again, DOUBLE STANDARDS

Once again the DOUBLE STANDARD rears its very ugly and very ANTI-DEMOCRATIC HEAD, visa-vie the Courts within the United States. There is a very discerning and for me disgusting scenario playing out, in which Justices, not elected, but nominated for a lifetime tenure, play politics first, placing their own perceptions as puppets for the people who paved their way as a priority.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday said states cannot bar former President Donald Trump from the ballot using a rarely invoked provision of the 14th Amendment, overturning a decision from Colorado's top court "Responsibility for enforcing Section 3 against federal officeholders and candidates rests with Congress and not the states," the court said in its 13-page unsigned opinion. "The judgment of the Colorado Supreme Court therefore cannot stand." (CBS News)

Once again the Republican-appointed Justices, ignoring the Constitution, preferring a Christian Nationalistic Bible or a Band of Religious zealots as the authority on the law of the land, have decided to once again UNDO the entire system of checks and balances in which this nation HAD once prided itself.

Amazing, isn’t it, how once again DOUBLE STANDRDS become the norm, whenever the Courts come into play, and play a shrewd game of “only we should pick and choose!” States cannot abide by the Constitution if they desire to abide by the 14th Amendment, because as the Supremes’ say not one state should alter the results of a Presidential election…YET, somehow, States can alter the outcome of an election by overriding the popular vote, due to the Constitution’s provision of the Electoral College. And now, if the Activist Republican Dominated Supreme Court decides in favor of a state, the entirety of Immigration will become a state’s right.

Appeals court reverses order blocking Texas immigration law, setting up Supreme Court showdown If the U.S. Supreme Court doesn’t intervene in the coming days, the law making illegal entry a state crime could go into effect this weekend. (The Texas Tribune) The electoral college is the body that elects the president of the United States; rather than voting directly for the president, populations vote for an elector to then cast their ballot in their political favor. Fucking DOUBLE STANDARDS!
