I am seriously trying to understand, the compassion, the concern the care, the Republican/Baggers say they have for individual rights, the children, too much big government, the common man. But somehow, day after day, week after week, the Republican/Baggers seem to fall prey to the adage Newt Gingrich espouses, '...do as I say, not as I do..."

Compassion: In Arizona the Republican/Bagger Congresspeople have still declined to fund the budgets that have saved lives of their citizens who are in the throws of needing an organ transplant. The Governor has refused to listen to suggestions how this budget item can be revived, and the legislators snidely remark that most of those on the transplant list are going to die anyway, so why spend good money on a bad life.

Care: Seems that every other word the Republican/Baggers mutter has to do with what is good for big business, big corporations, and really big rich people. Making cuts in social services is as easy as one-two-three according to this group of politicians, but anytime the word tax erupts from any one's lips for big business, big corporations, big rich people, all we hear is a serenade of how it will eliminate the potential of jobs. Amazing to me that during the 8 years of the Bush/Cheney dynasty empowered by the majority of Republicans in the Congress who did all they could for their corporate, business wealthy sponsors, we lost more and more jobs and ended up with an unwieldy recession. Why is the care only for the wealthy and caring less is gladly granted to the lower and middle class citizens?

Individual Rights: Guns are the right of individuals to carry as stated in the Constitution because we must be able to protect ourselves from the Government when they decide to invade our homes. Right now the individual can carry a whole assortment of guns, with rounds and rounds of ammunition to keep the killing going. And add to that that very few even have to offer up any semblance of sanity, history of conviction or motive as to the purchase of that weapon. But when an individual wants to be protects from someone carrying an assault weapon with 30 rounds of ammo, or does not want a person to carry that gun in a school or park or bar, their individual rights are called unpatriotic and poo poohed by the Republican/Baggers.

The Children: No matter what is done, no matter what the rational, the reason for making cuts, denying social services, entitlement programs by the Republican/Baggers is that they are doing it for the children. Does not matter that the current batch of children my have less access to health care, schools, jobs, nope it is for the foreseeable future of children.

The children go to schools, yet in most state budgets the first slice of the budget pie is the money going for education. In Florida, the Governor wants to slash 10 per cent from that states budget toward their education department. In the Congress, the Tea Baggers are surrounding the Department of Education with bright smiles and elimination written on their T-Shirts.

Must be too many of those minority kids going to public school. Must be too many teachers are part of the union and unions are a communist plot. Or maybe when a child is home schooled, you have no need to discuss history written by scholars but can replace the facts with idiot comments from the likes of Michelle Bachman or Sarah Palin. Or may the whole concept of evolution can be ignored and replaced with creationism.

Big Government: Why is government too big when the Republican/Tea Baggers don't like to be bossed around, but government is not big enough when the Republican/Baggers want it to include their brand of religious imperatives. Seems the Republican/Baggers want big Government to decide for women who should and who should not get an abortion. they want to write into law a bill stopping hospitals to cease abortions even if it means the death of the mother. They want to define what is rape anyway. They want to deny women who have been horrifically been abused, been violated, attacked from claiming that was rape. The Republican/Baggers want be the deciders just who is permitted to marry. Love ha nothing to with it if you are Gay, equality has nothing to with it if you are the same sex and want to marry. Freedom is not your choice if you are Adam and Steve wanting to say "I do".

Common Man: Why is the common man, as defined by Republican/Tea Baggers white, Evangelical Christian, wealthy, and full of hate?

I don't understand how we permit these close minded hypocrites to continue their war on America, American values, and American freedoms. Do we remain silent until some of the programs and ideals spread by the Republican/Baggers actually affects us, and then cry out? But haven't we learned from history by the time they come for us there is usually no one left to stop them!

The Paper Clips Project is a project by middle school students from the small southeastern Tennessee city of Whitwell who created a monument for the Holocaust victims in Nazi Germany. It started in 1998 as a simple 8th-grade project and evolved into one gaining worldwide attention. Soon the students were overwhelmed with the massive scale of the Holocaust and asked their teacher if they could collect something to represent the lives that were exterminated during the Holocaust. The number 6 million was too big to understand for these students. It seemed the larger the amount of people affected by the Holocaust the more impersonal it was to the students, not because they did not care but because grasping something bigger than their themselves or the lives they lead seemed like reaching for a piece of hay in a silo filled with wheat. They knew there was tragedy in the suffering and death of one person, but how to understand or explain that same feeling for the other 5,999,999 was hard to comprehend. But one person at a time, one paperclip at time added meaning and momentum to the villainous actions that took place.

Corporate profits have been doing extremely well for a while. We are a nation built upon Capitalism and free markets. We celebrate success and our bottom-line dressed in black provides us with the incentive and motivation to do more to do better. We can understand when at the end of the month in our own personal lives we have $100, $300, $500, a dollar in our checking accounts how much jubilation there is that at least for this month we did not go broke or borrow from ourselves to pay ourselves. How many of us have even seen what a trillion dollars looks like, feels like, smells like and yet in one of the roughest times in our current history corporations have amassed $1.659.

Yet for those who at the end of the month who have spent their unemployment check on either food or rent or medical coverage, those who have been the recipient of charity from friends or family to at least eat one meal a day, those who roam the streets begging for a dollar here or there…yet for those something so grand as $1.659 trillion seems like counting the water molecules in the ocean as they drown finding their way to shore.

Politicians campaigned on jobs, jobs, jobs. The President provided speeches on job creation, job growth; each and every newscast spends at least 15 minutes in an ominous, dour and somber tenure explaining the jobs situation. We hear the number of 8.9 million dropping to 8.5 million and as we are told of the drop of 400,000 we are to silently celebrate that some jobs were had, some people were hired.

We see the big picture, the national outlook, but seldom does the camera pan into the home of one family, one individual who alone has to face the fear of foreclosure, cutting back on healthcare, feeling less than and useless. We hear the big numbers of millions and millions yet those numbers mean nothing because we are encumbered by our own small number of one, the one we happen to be who is unemployed.

For some of us the greater good has no chance of surviving when 8 million is bandied about and the focus on millions seems to supersede just one.

Former U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld acknowledged in his new autobiography that he made a "misstatement" in asserting in the early days of the 2003 invasion of Iraq that he knew the location of weapons of mass destruction in the country, the London Guardian reported today.

In his 815-page memoir, "Known and Unknown," Rumsfeld said he erred in a March 30, 2003 interview by disregarding his normal practice of being exact and cautious when discussing intelligence assessments in responding to a question on Iraq's alleged unconventional weapons stocks.(National Journal Group)

We hear the number 4754 from one war and then the number 2322 for another war. Many of us with clear conscience, lucky enough not to have had a loved one accounted for in those numbers, ring our hands, touch our hearts, and heave a big sigh sharing an overwhelming bit of sympathy for the families touched by these deaths. Some of us become infuriated that life, so precious had to be destroyed. Many of us see the big number, few of us realize what it means when just one of the 4754 or 2322 Troops killed was our father, mother, sister, brother, lover, spouse.

Adding the numbers from both wars, 6876 makes the total even more difficult to tolerate, yet understand. Then there is 1 man, Donald Rumsfeld, who helped share in the responsibility to drive these Troops to war who suddenly standing behind the shield of his pen and paper provides America after the death of 6876 Troops who says, oops I may have erred, my bad, maybe those Weapons of Mass Destruction’ were more of weapons of my imagination. One man’s oops, thousands of people’s death.

Sometimes we want to see the big picture, canvassing the horizon in a 360 degree range. We amaze at how many or how large, and see the colors, the hues, the shapes but many times miss the smallest of details.

We know 6 million Jews died in the Holocaust, we read that corporations have earned $1.659 trillion in profit, we sigh over 8.6 million Americans unemployed, we cringe at the number of 6876 Troops killed in two wars. But somehow until it affects us, smack us right in the face splattered all over our silent defenses we seldom realize that all it takes for those large numbers to grow is one person, just one person.

Parents dress their two year old in lipstick, eye liner and hairspray. Parents place their three year old in short shorts and stockings. Parents have their four year old strutting down the runway with Madonna cylinder boobs. Parents showcase their five year old in a French maid’s outfit encouraging their daughter to bump some booty. In reality, even though we are told Gays make horrible role models, and bad parents, all of the parents of the two, three, four and five year old showgirl beauty queens are heterosexual males and females. In reality you can go to any reality show showcasing infants and toddlers and their lack luster loser parents and see a perfect demonstration of poor parenting, by heterosexuals.

Teenage females maybe 14, maybe 15, maybe 16 are proud and pregnant, seen fighting with their babies Dad, who knocked them up but ain’t going to knock them down. Teenage females, barely making it in high school, with little vocational training, little less adult intervention bragging about baby number two and proudly proclaiming if they want baby number three it will arrive whenever they want to play around again. Teenage females seen fighting with their boyfriends, handcuffed by the police for theft and vandalism, all arrogant and cocky denying that their poor choices left any consequences to innocents like their babies. In reality even though we are told Gays make horrendous role models and lousy parents, all these female moms are daughters are heterosexual men and women who have no idea what parenting is all about. In reality you can go to any reality show showcasing Teen Moms and witness heterosexual parents who are helpless and hopeless intervening in their daughter’s life.

Watch Lindsey Lohan, Brittney Spears, Miley Cyrus’s parents, heterosexuals assist their daughters to spin out, fall down, act out as they reap the benefits of stardom off the backs of their children. Watch movie star moms and dads all heterosexual as they bail their kids out of jail for drugs, reckless behavior. Watch Child Stars who have grown into young adults as they are arrested time and time again, fall prey to the streets, mutilate themselves recalling stories from their parents all heterosexuals who paid little attention to their lives once the limelight dimmed and the dollars declined. In reality even though we are told Gays make half assed Moms and Dads, all these kids were raised by, managed by, guided by heterosexual parents who did not see the beauty of their children but the bucks they could bring in. In reality you can go to any reality Celebrity show and spy on parents who hopped on the gravy train and made no attempt to parent.

In reality, those who want to lash out at the love, care, responsible nature of men and women who happen to be Gay, who wish to raise a family, their family with love, conscience, care and respect are not lashing out with anything but bias and bigotry. In reality those who say Gay parents defile Gods wishes in raising a family, refuse to look at anything but the emptiness of their own religious beliefs, the lack of their own conscience in their own heart and see the real world with real people in front of their own clouded eyes. In reality, those who hate based on innuendo, fabrication, religious dogma and complete lack of knowledge have not faced reality.

Just go to any cable channel, look up tiaras, toddlers, unwed mom, pregnant , teenager, child stars, scandal, interventions, arrest, and then look at who it is that brought those kids into the world and who it is that has done such a lousy job in parenting them. Then look up heterosexual parent.

It is not about heterosexuals doing a worse job, or homosexuals doing a better job, it is about the individual, either heterosexual or homosexual and how they raise the kid. But instead it seems it is about a group of people and the stereotypes created to defile them, which fog the filters of sense and sensibility. It seems it is about the fear of insecure folk always looking for a villain for their own folly and failures. It seems it is always about finding an enemy and in doing so overlooking the real issue, the welfare of the kids.

In reality it is the tools you carry as a male or female, a home with one dad and one mom, two dads, two moms or a home with one parent, that create a child with self esteem, self worth, self acceptance.

Yesterday Glenn Beck delivered one of his many sermons from the mount, wrote upon his chalk board, highlighting conspiracies, Communism, and chaos created by the shadowy world of Obama and his progressive minions. He spoke about a great caliphate dangling in the not too distant future, and how from the Bush’s to Obama a new world order via the rebellion in Egypt is about to claim this Christian democracy called America.

And with the speed of communications his speedy assertions multiplied and his distribution of information as untrue as ever filtered into the laps of folks who want to hate, want to blame and fear for their lives from monsters unknown but ready to pounce upon all of them.

And Mr. Beck is a persuasive man, believed by some as a prophet, deemed to be credible by those who need someone to translate the text of their Testaments, and who devour lies and fable to feed their feeble minds.

I watched as they carried signs comparing Democrats/Progressives/Poor/Union Members/Children Born in this country of Illegal Immigrants/People of Color/Muslims to Nazi’s/Communists/Socialists/Hitler/Satan and was so mesmerized by my sight I could only sigh and say nothing else. I was so astounded and upset I could not find the wherewithal to go to the Polls and vote those who said such disparaging things out of office. I was sure someone else would take care of this situation. It’s just a phase, we go through so many like this in this Nation no need to worry.

Finally, a hero came to the fore in America, (Edward R. Murrow, a journalist) and spoke loud enough, eloquently enough, American enough to say to Senator Eugene McCarthy, what you are doing is wrong, immoral,wrong for America. One man finally decided that bullying, brandishing lies, feeding on fear and paranoia, without any real evidence had to stop. And finally with the strength of Edward R. Murrow’s statements a tidal wave of true patriotism flooded the Senate and washed away the cowardly politicians whose service to America was to service themselves first. And suddenly the question of “...are you now or have you ever been a member of the Communist Party...” ceased and died.

We now have elected a slew of people in America of 2011 whose first order of business is to stop health care for all, remove any restrictions on Financial Institutions, redefine RAPE, complain that same sex marriage is wrong because two men or two women can not produce an unwanted child, and marriage is an institution that permits people to produce wanted and unwanted children. We have welcomed into office people who think being unemployed is something lazy, and unproductive unemployed Americans would rather enjoy, that higher education, public education makes someone an elitist, that our Founding Fathers founded this nation as a Christian nation and the only reason we say there is a division between church and state is because a bunch of Commie Progressives have done so via their liberal agenda.

We now have millions of viewers watching FOX News, where each and every entertainer packs their news hour with lies, untruths, fractions of truths and whenever they are confronted with their misdeeds, act as if those accusers were enemies of God. We have millions of listeners waiting with bated breath for Rush Limbaugh to lambast anyone who might be fighting for the average man’s rights, who might want to develop discourse and debate who has fact to disprove his pack of fable and falsehoods. We now have best selling authors, whose ghost writers throw around inane stereotypes, idiotic conjectures, and rewrite history that we all witnessed but no longer recognize.

We have so many people who want to divide and conquer...find the fringe rather than the center...serve their own selfish needs then supply servitude to the greater good..who find their God as a vengeful, bigoted behemoth who finds difference bad...who would rather look outward for fault and claim no responsibility to their own transgressions.

We have seen the behaviors of this group of paranoid, biased boogie men throughout history, and have read the accounts of civilizations that did nothing to stop them, of people who stood by idly who became sheep to slaughter.

We have also seen the accomplishment of men such as Edward R. Murrow, who said this IS the line in the sand...no more, no more!

It is RAPE when I say its RAPE, I am a man and what I say makes it so...

And so, Big Government is too BIG, too many rules and regulations, too much interference in our lives, too many people trying to live my life that is why I am a member of the Tea Bag movement, and reluctantly also a Republican! BUT, there are some exceptions, based on my religious principles so they are not human expectations but directives from God, the kind of principles this nation was built upon, to permit MY persuasion to permeate in the business of Government.

And in response to Big Government is bad...The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act” In an attempt to restrict the practice of federal tax funded abortions, the House GOP narrowing the definition of rape to “forcible rape” The “No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act” included provisions that would in fact allow for taxpayer funded abortions provided that the pregnancy was the result of such a rape.

So now Big Government according to the GOP/Baggers should define how defiled a woman was when she did not want to participate in intercourse willingly, and punish her for being the recipient of a horrendous and cowardly sexual physical act by a male. Rape, according to the claimers of moral fortitude and Conservative Christian values, suggest we devalue any physical attack upon women that might result in a pregnancy if in their estimation she invited it directly or indirectly. So suddenly there is Rape and Rape Light.

According to this band of Evangelical GOP/Baggers brothers, who demand less government in our lives but if it falls under the government of God more interference is better, women who become pregnant under most circumstances like Rape, are as much as fault as their assailant. And because of their indiscretions, these shameless women should carry the baby created by the sperm of their Dad, Brother, Pastor, Priest or some man who happened to find his way inside her body.is it rape

I did not vote for the Republican/Bagger Party for many reasons and two in particular include the fear that those considering themselves holier than thou, closer to a God advertised in tele-evangelism pay me to pray for your religion want to run my life. They want less government involvement until it comes to what the Republican/Tea Bagger feels is how we should live our most intimate and personal life. I did not stay home last November and not vote because I thought that my vote would not count,or did not want to waste my vote on the lesser of two evils because I feared the worst f the two evils would win. And because so many of us DID stay home we now have a bill to redefine RAPE.

RAPE redefined so less abortions might be considered by a bunch of gun totting, unrelenting bigots to run everyone’s life. The God knows best and he has spoken to me attitude has happened in the war against anything Gay by this group of religious hypocrites, it has happened to those who need health care, those of brown and black skin and now women.

How long will we permit this abomination of what America should stand for, what religion in America should stand for take hold and reshape all of our lives in America?

Republicans look to prohibit EPA Regulations. Republicans want to repeal the Health Care Bill. Republicans want to defund the Finance Reform Bill. Republicans want to eliminate the Department of Education. Prohibit, repeal, defund, eliminate if it has anything to do with the air we breathe, the quality of life we live, the ability for equality in economics, how we educate our youth a continuing mantra of the current slate of Republican law makers in this country just say NO.

Prohibit any gun control law, permit the wealthiest to remain wealthy, deny civil liberties to any minority deemed Un-American, and cement the rift between the separation of Church and State, making Evangelical Christianity the official State religion. Prohibit, permit, deny, cement a call to action by the elected Republican law makers, anything that suits their fringe voter that encourages “us vs. them”, always sugar coat the facts spicing them with innuendo and fabrication and say it is the American way, just say YES.

Say your goal is to create jobs, but don’t stop your underwriters, your sponsors, your lobbyists from outsourcing jobs, creating major profits while the worker receives less of a pay check. Say that you have Christian conservative values, but deny funding for transplants, the unemployed, the disabled, the poor. Say the current administration has overspent, but never admit to your own culpability over the past 8 years in adding deficit upon deficit to the budget while helping your wealthy donors become richer and richer.

And then let us hear from the hero’s of the Republican Party such as Ann Coulter, “…If interstate commerce clauses allow health insurance mandate, GOP should mandate guns and Bible…” So the self proclaimed owners of religion in this Nation think health care is unimportant, but as you pass the ammunition load up on your 30 rounds of bullets, read a chapter from the Bible talking about love thy neighbor, but not if he needs health care.

And then say you are unifier, the voice for all Americans as we see the lack of inclusion from those who feel that inclusion means only if you hate as I do: After event organizers decided to allow GOProud, a gay Republican group, to be a "participating organization" for a second straight year, social conservative organizations like the Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America decided they wouldn't be coming out. Ditto for the Heritage Foundation and the American Family Association. Now, two more leading conservatives have announced they're going to skip March's festivities. Do not call yourself a conservative and homosexual in the same breath, or it may be your last breath.

And talk about amendment rights but never the responsibility of those rights. Mayor Blumberg of New York was quite blunt in his criticism of the sale of automatic assault rifles. "No rational person thinks you should be able to sell a rifle that's advertising as able to bring down a commercial airliner," "Nobody thinks we should be selling armor-piercing bullets -- you don't need that if you're hunting deer or elk."

But the NRA, the darling of the Republican Right, the most effective lobbying group this nation has ever seen, instead of owning up to its responsibility in being irresponsible added via its Political Director, Chuck Cunningham

. "He likes to blame everyone else for violent crime in New York City," Cunningham said to a crowd of supporters. "He's not after illegal guns. He's after your guns. And that's a real snow job." It’s not about controls, or background checks, nor the moral aptitude in handling a gun, nope not important at all, just the fact that guns make us American.

The Progressives, the Liberals, the Moderates all have their own goals and objectives, purposes and missions and specific agendas, but somehow this newly elected group of Republican/Tea Bag politicians seem to be looking to divide and conquer rather than find consensus. They seem to be happy quoting from a scripture written by people who see God as a tyrant uninterested in difference. They seem to be supportive of allowing individuals to find fault in others for their own problems. And they seem to care less for the individual’s needs and more for their own careers and futures.

And they seem to be in charge of the megaphone, yelling the loudest and making the least amount of sense.

Hasn’t enough of the negative happened already and isn’t it time for the good to take place?

When supposedly legitimate politicians like the Speaker of the House John Boehner says people have the right to think as they please, so I will not try and put an official cabbash on this ‘birther’ nonsense, and pundits pleading to truth and honesty like the boys and girls on FOX Pac news but preferring lies and falsehoods run one story after the other denouncing each and every produced birth certificate, and when each and every Republican/Tea Bag candidate wanting to appease the fringe on the right, say “I guess if he says he is a citizen, he might be”, the next irrational step is exactly what the state of Arizona has proposed, a SHOW ME YOUR ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE BILL.

Once again, the Gays have become a priority for the haters. Once again with the stated priority of jobs, jobs, jobs, the mantra of stopping Gays from receiving equal rights, based on fact-less truth, but lots of trumped up insecurity and bigotry reign supreme in the land of the Republican/Tea Baggers of New Hampshire. Somehow I am sure there will be a connection with high unemployment and the Gay agenda.

A law that brings equality, a law that recites the rights of the Constitution, a law that provides Americans with the same protections as any other American who love and seek to marry the one they love, is deemed a disciple of the devil and is being urged to disappear.

Based on some principle based on a skewed version of the Bible and not on an honest reading of the Constitution, the politicians in the state of New Hampshire care less about freedoms and care more about fomenting hate.

Utah Representative Carl Wimmer’s dream of an official firearm for the state of Utah went a step further Monday at the capitol in Salt Lake City. The bill made it out of committee with a 4-2 vote, and will go before the senate for debate and a vote.

The vote followed party lines with republicans supporting the measure, but it also followed gender lines, with the two democrats - also women, opposing the bill.

It is not enough to mourn the death of innocent people, the injury of others one winter day in Arizona...its not enough to bow our heads and for a moment in the time frame of America shamefully admonish the shooter, its not enough to say we must not blame until the grieving is over, but to then within a few weeks of a tragic event, to promote along with a bird a flower, a tree a state recognized gun... is to say the least, insensitive and to say the most, idiotic. But the Republican/Tea Bag politicians in Utah managed to ignore conscience and crassly demonstrate their loathing for human life.

Mob Rule n. control of a political situation by those outside the conventional or lawful realm, typically involving violence and intimidation. Mob rule, an interesting feature the founding fathers of this nation feared the potential of ever happening in the governing of a new nation. Mob Rule in America 2011, n. find a scapegoat, based on religious dogma, fed by America extremism, peppered by personal political gain, decry minority rights as Un-American and make yourself the victim.

For those of us who smugly say I am not a Black man, or Gay, or of Mexican heritage watch out cause coming for you in the guise of This is My America, Your piece of the American pie is going to be laid to waste because no matter how you define yourselves you may not fit the mold of the self righteous. For those of us as Jews, Muslims, Catholics who chant the mantra of separation of Church and State as being sacrosanct, be aware that for those who get their Bible study from Pat Robertson, James Dobson, Mike Pence, Mike Huckabee the assumption is the founding fathers had their fingers crossed behind their backs and really meant Church is State. For those of us who say we should abide by the 2nd Amendment get ready for the OK Corral and High Noon with Uzies, and machine guns to your part of town.

Mob Rule by any name is still chaos and confusion. It is taking of liberty for the many so the few end up with more power. State by state we seem to see more rights being eroded under the excuse that America has lost its way, its meaning, its destiny. It is JUST an excuse to condone bigotry and bias.

It scares the hell out of me.
