18 U.S.C. § 201(c) makes it a crime to offer or accept a gratuity. A gratuity is a thing of value given “for or because of any official act performed or to be performed by” a public official. Like the federal bribery statute, Section 201(c) applies only to federal public officials. Bribery refers to the offering, giving, soliciting, or receiving of any item of value as a means of influencing the actions of an individual holding a public or legal duty. ... Solicitation of a bribe also constitutes a crime and is completed regardless of whether the solicitation results in the receipt of a valuable gift. The Senate sits as a High Court of Impeachment in which senators consider evidence, hear witnesses, and vote to acquit or convict the impeached official. ... The Constitution requires a two-thirds vote of the Senate to convict, and the penalty for an impeached official upon conviction is removal from office. To ensure that jurors do not behave in a biased way and corrupt the operation of justice, there are strict laws regarding bribery of jurors. Both those who offer bribes, as well as jurors and others who accept or solicit bribes, can face harsh consequences under the law. It is imperative that any juror who is accused of bribery make smart choices about defending himself from serious accusations.

Guilty as Hell, knowing that His actions and behavior have never once aligned with the purpose or propriety of the Constitution (honestly for the majority of Republicans the only thing they think the Constitution contains is “Thou Shall Own Guns”,) Trump, BEING Trump (and I am so sick and tired of that lame excuse) is IN the process o bribing his Jury Pool! Because Trump so far, has lived a life in which he can pick and choose which laws to obey or ignore, he is blatantly offering Senators like Gardner of Colorado, Ernst of Iowa, and Tillis of North Carolina, and quietly I am certain Aunt Bea (Susie Collins) of Maine money for their campaigns. There may be another half dozen Senators whose Constituents have finally caught on to the snake oil being sold, in their states, by the GOP Senators, so more bribes will be handed out. (Lite in the Loafers Lindsey, #Moscow Mitch, Little Marco and the Great Pretender of Libertarianism Paul, are not the list because they have their own Russian Oligarch money).
