 In a Truth Social post on Saturday, Trump shared a link to a New York Post article about the judge's daughter, who has consulted to Democratic campaigns, and wrote, "This is a disgrace to our Legal System. Judge Merchan should be immediately sanctioned and recused, and this fake 'case,' only kept alive by the Highly Conflicted Judge, should be completely dismissed right away." The post included photos of Merchan's daughter. Rolling Stone has withheld her name as she is not involved in the case.

Trump has attacked the judge's daughter at least three other times in the last week. The judge issued a gag order on Tuesday -- hours after Trump attacked his daughter -- barring the former president from discussing witnesses and others involved in the case. On Thursday, District Attorney Alan Bragg requested Judge Merchan clarify whether the gag order applies to Trump's attacks against the his daughter, and if not, he asked the judge to expand the order to include her and others.

Judge Merchan "should make abundantly clear that the [gag order] protects family members of the Court, the District Attorney, and all other individuals mentioned in the Order," Bragg wrote in a letter that was filed Thursday and unsealed on Friday, according to The Washington Post. "As a result, this Court should make abundantly clear that the March 26 Order protects family members of the Court, the District Attorney, and all other individuals mentioned in the Order. Judge Cannon, 42, has been on the bench since November 2020, when Mr. Trump gave her a lifetime appointment shortly after he lost re-election. She had not previously served as any kind of judge, and because about 98 percent of federal criminal cases are resolved with plea deals, she has had only a limited opportunity to learn how to preside over a trial. Whenever I read about Aileen Cannon’s assignment to oversee one of the most important cases in current American history, I first become aggravated, but then frustrated. This inexperienced person, one who has had limited actual employment in handling criminal trials, let alone a trial regarding espionage by none other than a past President, is somehow deemed capable of handling a trial of the century.

 

Does the Profession of Law have little to no standards regarding education or the experience and expertise of Judges? I mean, aside from this sham, look at how ANYONE can be nominated to the Supreme Court.

 

When I think about Aileen Cannon’s lack of hands-on experience, let alone first-hand knowledge in handling a case like this it makes me wonder. Imagine if a newly graduated Physician was given the job as head surgeon having only practiced on cadavers. Imagine if somebody who liked science, took science courses was made head of NASA. Imagine if in most any other profession, someone was given the authority to make decisions, which impacted the health and welfare, having had NO practical hands-on experience. IT, IS, FOR ME, HARD TO IMAGINE!

These are excerpts from a much longer poem, ‘On The Beach At Night,’ by Walt Whitman, and for me, these three passages resonate and ruminate throughout my mind, my body, and my ability to maintain a sense of sanity; having tried to find hope and honesty, purpose and promise, these past eight years.

 

The tyranny of TRUMP and all of the collateral chaos he has caused has me looking into the sky, steering into what has become a void, a seemingly vast blackhole, which grows and grows and, as it evolves, seems to take greater pleasure in devouring the silent, those who remain quiet, and the naïve. I fear the horizon I witness. I watch that horizon grow bleaker and bleaker, darker and darker, knowing that right before my eyes, the magician has shown us his tricks, cons, schemes, and phoniness, YET he still maintains a stronghold as a grifter. I am not the only person seeing this manipulation, but the quiet, the silence, the sheer lack of indulgence to stop this charlatan seem to smother me and those around me.

 

We must stop, as a nation, ‘looking the other way,’ pretending that ‘both sides are equal,’  ‘keeping our heads in the sand,’ or up our own asses.’ As a nation, we must stop from closing our eyes and hiding under the blanket, presuming that by ignoring the monster, IT will go away. We see the burial clouds, we can hear the ruinous rumble of chaos they bring, we are told what kind of awful to expect, and YET, it seems we prefer being the victim instead of being victorious!

Perhaps, just PERHAPS when TRUTH is told, not just told, but PROUDLY SPOKEN, and directed towards those who seem to only thrive on LIES, perhaps the façade in which the LIARS live will begin to crumble. Maybe, just MAYBE, if those of us who prefer facts to fiction, sincerity over insincerity, honesty instead of hypocrisy, and we keep on keeping on stating what is real versus what is imagined, we can find power over persecution from the hateful!

 

The Republican/MAGA/Trump world only feels confident when they attack, only feel secure when they ostracize, only feel emboldened when they try to silence any opposition. Like the Wicked Witch of Oz, isn’t it about time those of us for whom the Republican/MAGA/Trump world loves to scapegoat stop turning the other cheek, looking the other way, and start throwing buckets of truth and facts at them, continuously, constantly, in a concerted effort?

He thinks parents shouldn’t have a say in their kids’ education and the community and not the parent is responsible for children’s education,” Libs of TikTok wrote. So, Mom and Dad, as in OUR Mom and Dad, Aunts, and Uncles, are growing old, old and ill, old and ill enough that sometimes caring for them becomes difficult. We love them, as we should, and oftentimes must rely on others to maintain some quality in their lives. We sadly become conned, especially when our emotions have receded into frustration, that  Nursing Homes may help us. We forget that those who own and operate such facilities prefer profits over people.

 

Science fiction novels and films have explained to us, more often than not, that death and dying are just for the poor. The authors and writers warn us that having money makes those wealthy folks think that they are or will be immune from the rest of the peons and peasants.  Poor people and middle-class people somehow must pay for the consequences of the wealthy!

 

Growing old, yep, it is; it is what we want and wish for,  but there is the fine print we don’t read about. If you grow old, you MUST grow old with finances plenty. Once again it com, it comes down to profits and having lots of money to actually work and thrive.

 

NOW, after even one too many incidents where murder and mayhem might have ended a few lives, the United CEO pretends to suddenly become aware of safety issues. Imagine if the United CEO actually gave a real shit, and used the invented luggage fees, or the preferred seating fees, or the seat first fees, to actually pay for better maintenance on his airlines. We can imagine, but none of that seems to matter as long as any crimes promised crimes against the fabric of this nation originate from TRUMP.

 

By now, those of us who watch or read horror stories have learned a few things that, when committed, seem so stupid and so obvious that we KNOW whenever a character participates in those activities, they will either be chopped in half by the psychopath, they will be abducted by the monster, or they, of course, will be the first to die. As we watch or read those stories, we hiss or boo or make that squiggly face using our “you idiot” eyes, understanding that there are better ways than that to live another day.

Why you even gave Scarlett Johansson a thumbs up for being quite the babe, saying that only the ugly cast members of SNL play you. (Umm, Teddy, as an aside, will you still consider Scarlett a babe is TRUMP decides she is not…I am asking for your wife Heidi’s sake.)

But Katie I am curious as to what lessons you have learned from practicing your religion. Do your practices permit you to lie; lying as in retelling a story about a rapist who had been an immigrant, whose heinous actions took place, you blatantly claimed, (as you looked directly into the camera using your “oh my God,” voice) CLAIMED without missing a beat, that it took place, during President Joe Biden’s administration. Maybe your Republican Talking Heads script writers, lied to you regarding all of the facts, because maybe they are not true Christians or thought of you as a useful tool, so I will overlook that error. (Ain’t it nice Katie to be an important person, and so able to blame omissions of truth on those unprofessional staff!)

 

Because you are a Mom, sitting in the kitchen, a place where Mom’s seem to belong, according to the Republican Party, and I must guess had so many words of anger, fear, and distress to recite, you may have just been too overwrought to check any or all facts. A kind of Frankenstein

 Prices ticked higher in February, but there’s good news at the grocery store. Higher prices at the gas pump pushed up inflation more than expected in February, according to the latest Consumer Price Index from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. (CNN)

 

So, once again a story regarding Cool Whip. Cool Whip is a favorite of my husband, Joe, so as a most wonderful spouse whenever I am shopping for groceries, at our ONLY local supermarket , Shop and Save. (interesting name since unless you desire to drive 26.7 miles, you must shop, and somehow since there is no other supermarket, the savings is only in your gas). 

 

Last week Cool Whip was selling for $3.49, lo and behold this week, Cool Whip was now selling for Two for $4.00. Believe it or not this BLOG AIN’T so much about the jacked-up prices, but more about the Bullshit Concept called inflation, a term I truly believe invented and installed by the very wealthy who desire to remain ultra-wealthy pretending that by blaming some amorphous OTHER WORLDLY THING, called inflation, on the invented prices of goods, the average person will bitch and moan and blame anyone but them!

 

Weymouth MA is about 102.6 miles from Provincetown MA. Weymouth compared to Provincetown is big city. In Provincetown, Cumberland Farms is one of two gasoline stations, the price of Regular at the Provincetown Cumberland Farms Gas Station is $3.49 a gallon. As Joe and I drove to Weymouth last week, we had to drive through the Cape, passing about a dozen towns, and as we traveled on Route 6 heading west, we also passed about half a dozen gas stations, with the majority of them belonging to Cumberland Farms. And guess what…yeppers, the further west we travelled taking us closer to the mainland part of Massachusetts, the price of Regular Gasoline, suddenly lowered and lowered. Mid Cape it was $3.39, at the end of the Cape, it magically became $3.29, and wham bam thank you ma’am when we arrived in Weymouth, Cumberland Farms Regular gasoline was $3.19 a gallon. 

 

So, let me understand this crazy thing called INFLATION. It is neither a person, nor a place, but a thing. I am beginning to believe it is more of a monster, created by a whole of people who want to be like Dr. Frankenstein, live their lives in a castle, and ignore the villagers. INFLATION is ploy, a plot,  plan to keep most people poor and make a select few rich. And from where I live, INFLATION, is a whole lot about, location, location, location.

 Mark Robinson, the Republican candidate for North Carolina's gubernatorial election, said he wanted to go back to a time "where women couldn't vote" in a video that resurfaced in the wake of his Super Tuesday victory. (RollingStone) 

Mark Robinson is an African American, or as genera rations since the Revolutionary, Civil War, and The South Will Rise Again, White Nationalists have insisted, Mark Robinson is a Negro, as in once upon a time he was considered property, and even when he was not legally permitted to be White People’s Property he was still considered less human, as a Black Man.

Mr. Robinson as a Republican must have mixed feelings regarding how and when the Federal Government intervenes, but for Mr. Robinson’s current political position, he should be very thankful that the Federal Government is not as bigoted as he is.

"I would say to him, if I was standing in front of him, 'I absolutely want to go back to the America where women couldn't vote,'" Robinson said.
