Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is postponing scheduled book tour events this week for “security reasons,” as he faces intense backlash from the party base in the wake of last week’s government funding vote, Politico reports. (msnbc.com)
Poor Chuckie wrote a book while on the taxpayer payroll, and now, still on the taxpayer payroll, he cannot go out and promote that book, stymieing his chances to make some money. Like oh so many other politicians who write books while on the taxpayer payroll, Chuckie somehow found time to become an author and, in doing so, apparently found less time in acting as a leader, a juggernaut a maker of change for his constituents locally and nationally.
Schumers choice in accepting the Fascist tax cuts had to be difficult; I understand that if the Dems shut down the government, it would suddenly become all of the Dems as the bad guys, forgetting that this MAGA budget is for the sole purpose of pleasing the wealthy oligarch’s Republican bad guys. But Chuck Schumer has constantly, in my opinion, acquiesced to the whims and ways of Republicans even when the Dems were in the majority, showcasing, again, as I see it, zero backbone or balls.
Schumer should have come forward to the American public and at least tried to explain why he voted for the budget resolution and why it mattered to him that the budget pass because by not being honest with the rest of us, it all seemed like one more day of suck ass politics played by a guy who seems to like to lose!
