It isn’t about saving lives…it IS about making profits. It isn’t altruism…it IS capitalism. Let us remember that Drug and Vaccine Manufacturers have the ability, the knowledge, and the wherewithal to help eradicate many illnesses plaguing humankind, but first things first, a profit, a large profit, is the ingredient to do so, and if that ingredient is missing, no reason produce a product.
The not-so-slow drip of vaccine-unfriendly news coming from the Trump administration poses the longer-term question of just how much drugmakers would be willing to take before they decide the historically fragile market is too volatile to participate in.
