They present this image of sounding so heroic, Senator John McCain, Majority Leader Mitch Mcconnell and Speaker Paul Ryan, telling us that Humayun Khan is a hero and that his parents, Khizr and Ghazala had every right to speak about their son’s heroism. The Senator, the Majority Leader and the House Speaker ALL said how Un-American Donald trumps word sounded. All three men wore their red, white and blue pin lapels on their suits, shaking their heads in disgust, thinking that their words about Donald Trumps statement would be enough.
Not enough for me. If these three Republican politicians were really concerned with America, they would better understand that their words of condemnation of their Party’s nominee are nothing more then feel good propaganda; their action of denouncing Trump and telling us (In the same indignant tone) that they CAN NO LONGER support Trump would be bravery. Humayun Khan understood that words can suffice for the moment but actions make the person real, lost his life doing so. Once again, AMERICA, we witness the cowards pretending that country comes first, when the only truth for these there politicians is that Party, self preservation in politics TRUMPS county.
I am not surprised, or shocked, because it is often the case with our current hybrid Tea/Fascist/Christian Evangelical Republicans bunch of bullies, they believe all you need is WORDS to make a point…ACTION is too intimidating to their base of lemmings, REALLY to threatening to their own political ambitions. The real words should be, we no longer support Trump and their actions should be to continuously campaign against him.
