Intervention! Yes ma’m that is the answer. Play the old Republican game of whatever was said or done before, forget about that, the media is rigged and any audio or video of Trump’s racist, mysogynistic, xenophobic rhetoric was either altered, taken out of context or made up! Intervention, indeed! Forget the lies, dismiss the insults, make Trump new again. Let Trump sound like a human and all that OTHER STUFF will float in the air like plumes of toxic smoke.
Support, yeppers! Trump has said some things that certainly don’t resonate with the Republican Party…except they do. No reprimand from politicians anxiously running for office about Trump’s disdain for women’s reproductive rights, no shock at Trump’s promise to undo same-sex marriages, no apoplexy as the KKK and the American Neo Nazi’s continue to support Trump while targeting Jews/People of Color/Immigrants. But shock and awe when Trump obnoxiously defames the lives of Gold Star Families…oh yeah all of this from the God Bless America Republicans who cut back on increasing the dollars for embassy security/mental health programs for Vets/ and the veterans administration. Support, You Bet, just in case there are too many bigots in your district that would vote you out of office.
