it ain't over

It ain't over till the fat lady sings:
It ain't over till the fat lady sings is a colloquialism which is often used as a proverb. It means that one should not presume to know the outcome of an event which is still in progress. More specifically, the phrase is used when a situation is nearing its conclusion.  Nothing is irreversible until the final act is played out.

It ain’t over because the fat man ain’t gonna sing, he ain’t gonna ‘fess up’, he ain’t gonna do much but scream witch hunt/HILLARY/OBAMA/mainstream press/and of course I am too wonderful, great, greater than and perfect, and the best, better most best, most better! It ain’t over until the claw marks of a banshee are etched, first on the walls of the White House, then the talons of a gargoyle are rutted on the mildewed marble of Mar-A-Lago, and finally the tri toed hoof marks of the Devil settle like chiseled indentations on the Tower of Trump, acting like that first break in the dam, forecasting a cascading of rot and ruin. It ain’t over, because, when you are a narcissistic psychopath, never daring to admit a finite fault, you drag, drown, and destroy the dupes who pretended they believed in you, but all the while loved the high life, they figured might last forever. It ain’t over until all destruction to democracy that can be demonstrated by a demon has deconstructed America, and with great relish, American politics (as if American politics were somehow on the right side of the law.

We’ve only just begun (as Karen Carpenter once sang,) white lace and promises…but in this case dark lies and no promises to anyone but Putin. We can view this fat man ready to sing, in two ways. The first will be the GOP, who fear some kind of backlash against their own reputations, and will, like mice, slowly and in the dark of night leave the ship, knowing it has hit the iceberg. The second will be the resolve of the guilty, like William Barr, Mitch McConnell, Mike Pompeo, Devin Nunes who will try their darndest to deflect, deny and cry foul. The third will be when the rats, begin looking the other way and remain silent in defense of Trump. But no matter what or whom, Americans will suffer the consequences until: “Trumpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Trumpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the Oligarchs horses and all the Kings men couldn’t or wouldn’t put Trumpty Dumpty together again.”
