Ragtime: by E. L. Doctorow- chronicles the lives of three families: a white Anglo-Saxon Protestant (WASP) family (composed of the narrator when he is a young boy, Mother, Father, Mother’s Younger Brother, and Grandfather); a black family (Sarah, Coalhouse Walker, Jr., and their illegitimate infant); and an immigrant family (Tateh, Mameh, and The Little Girl). At the beginning of the novel, these families’ existences are entirely segregated from one another, but by the story’s end, the three families have become one in a uniquely American type of ethnic heterogeneity.

Today’s news, Trump breaks the law once again, and the Democrats are on their last nerve. Impeachment supposedly looms of some God-forsaken horizon which each and every day seems further away. The same game plan from the Trump Cabal, commit an illegal act, blame the same crime on the Democrat, this time Biden, and let the Media curl up in a frenzy debating if Biden is guilty, all the while Trump and his crime Family get away with YET one more unlawful action. Remember how we had to read Hillary’s emails, as Trump and Putin were playing compromised agent and master. No more checks and balances, no more need for subpoenas, no more use for the Constitution, and the entire idea of Transparency in the American way of governing is nothing but a pipe dream, and perhaps always was. Rudy remains a lawyer, The Crown Prince kills a journalist, and Eric the Dumber Trump says, so what is one life compared to the billions of dollars promised by the Saudi’s to the Trump Klan and of course our own Prince and Princess, the Kushner’s! William Barr is a treasonous traitor, but THE GUY, all-powerful translating the laws into what is good for Trump and what is bad for Trump. Mother Pence has decided that Jesus loves a liar, an adulterer, a glutton, a greedy banker, but her Jesus also loathes the Gay, the Immigrant, and the Female who just wants the rights to her own body. Mother Pence was supposed to be the balance between Mikey staying in the closet and coming out. Nancy Pelosi is waiting for God knows what to decide if Impeaching Trump now or ever will help the Dems remain in power at least in the House, and all the while, as she tries hesitates, and calls for this or that hearing or this or that tax return, Trump remains in the Oval Office, able to wreak havoc on every single human in the United States, the environment of the USA, and if he takes the wrong dosage of the volume of pills just to keep him from becoming completely comatose, perhaps start a war in which, even the 1% and the MAGA perish just like those damn Progressive \Democrat Socialists!

Oh yeah, and then we have all the Talking Heads, and the Dems telling us we are near, we are closer, we are on the brink of a Constitutional Crisis…WTF, we have fallen off that cliff, and are now waiting to crash land on the jagged rocks known as Fascism!
