SERIOUSLY

I’m a pediatrician. When parents attack me for suggesting vaccines, I fume at RFK Jr.

The flames of vaccine hesitancy have been stoked to a bonfire by fictitious stories by self-serving people like the nominee to run the Department of Health and Human Services. (Opinion/MSNBC)

As I read articles like this regarding parents’ distrust of vaccines and medicine, I must wonder how these parents who, as children, received the same vaccines and medicine actually can look at themselves in the mirror and wonder how come they haven't died, how come I haven't been sick.

Seriously, these adults would not be able to be alive now had most of them not been provided with vaccines and medical care when they were children. So somehow, whatever medical advice and procedures they had received are no longer good enough for their children.

Just because biologically, there is a sperm and an egg does not translate into men and a woman is capable, responsible, and mentally able to parent children
