what ya' mean

Say what ya mean and mean what ya say…

As Sarah Palin was filming her TLC reality series (she joins the likes of such notable and relevant Americans as Snooki, any Americas Top Models, the losers of the Bachelorette program, any Kardashian) Ms half governor of Alaska ran into a very irate and upset Alaskan woman who had posted a sign on her property proclaiming the ex governor of being Alaska’s worst governor---EVER. Sister Sarah, (who only visits places usually and mostly scripted and ordered to be filled with her supporters), seemed a tad bit concerned approaching the woman and the sign.

Sister Sarah gave the woman her “smiley”, hockey mom, moose huntin’ face, and asked why the Alaskan woman even imagined such a thought as Sarah being the worst. The woman responded that Sarah gave up her duties as an elected official for fame and celebrity. Sarah gave that sash wearin’, runway walkin’ winky’ thing and said… ‘a celebrity… glad someone thinks of me that way’…, (it was a good thing I have taken large doses of anti Sarah drugs so I did not throw up), and tried to change the subject. Sarah and her too late for abstinence the first time daughter Bristol both chagrined and loudly, in a voice people use when they are disgusted said a teacher, as if a teacher was some kind of four letter word. (no learnin’ goin’ on in the Palin home).

Finally the woman asked Sarah why she quit the governorship. And then IT happened, Sarah went into I don’t know what I am saying mode, but I will repeat the same words over and over again mention firemen, soldiers, the flag, civil rights for those I deem worthy of receiving those rights, God and the American flag and throw in an Obama or two for good measure. By the time Sarah was finished speaking the woman looked lost, scared and frustrated. Sarah never answered the question but instead hyperventilated on repetitive words wearing down and tiring the intelligence of most human brains. Then like most tornadoes after leveling a town disappeared.

On Meet the Press, David Gregory interviewed House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH). John Boehner is running for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives again in 2010, only this time he is competing to become the next Speaker of the House. You would think someone in such a position would be primed with all the answers.

As always, the subject of greatest contention revolved around the economy. That is certainly no wonder. The economy is easily the issue of greatest import in the upcoming elections.

Immediately, Gregory questioned Boehner on his position regarding the Bush tax cuts, which are set to expire at the close of the year. Boehner stated that the tax cuts should not be allowed to expire for any class of Americans, including those who make over $250,000 a year.
President Obama plans to allow cuts for the wealthiest Americans to expire, but will keep them in place for the rest of the population.

Host Gregory responded to Boehner by admitting that many top economists agree with Obama. He then backed up his statement with a video clip of Alan Greenspan.

Following the video clip, Gregory asked Boehner why he disagreed. Boehner replied that it was dangerous to allow the tax cuts to expire in any form during these difficult economic times. The result could be a double-dip recession. When Gregory invited Boehner to explain how that process would occur, instead of answering intelligently the Congressmen dodged the question with platitudes.

Gregory did not let the matter rest. He told Boehner in other words that his generic response was not an answer to the question. At this, rather than being professional and attempting to explain his position, Boehner became visibly irritated. --- The LA Examiner

Representative Boehner did the Palin dance of sounding alarms, declaring the sky is falling, lumping all the woes into one pile and declaring Obama out of touch with real Americans. John Boehner resisted responding to the question with a simple yes or no answer because he knew the answer he wanted to deliver was wrong, ethically, morally, and responsibly. He gyrated, jerked and gavotted, and came out the fool.

Anyone who has ever raised young kids, worked with them or has come into contact with them knows that when a three, four or five year old does not want to answer a question he/she will do the best imitation of approach avoidance/ look away/ blame others. They think they are smarter than you and can beguile you with indifference, irrelevance and immature innuendo. They have developed enough of a conscience to understand a lie is BAD.

Seems most Tea Bagger/Conservative/Evangelical Republicans have also developed the ability to know a lie but use it when the truth is not on their side. Why does Nevada senatorial Tea Bag candidate Sharon Angle run from the main stream press after she speaks of shutting down social security, denying rape victims the choice of an abortion, dismantling the Department of Education? Why does Liz Cheney only speak to FOX News when she complains that Obama is soft on terrorism even though his administration has made more advances in targeting Al qaeda then Bush/Cheney? Why does she only speak to Neo Cons touting the achievements of her father’s legacy never mentioning denying civil rights, outing Valerie Plame, declaring weapons of mass destruction when there were none? Why did the Church of Latter Day Saints want to be anonymous during their crusade against same sex marriage in California? If the Mormons thought same sex marriage was bad a gift from the devil then they should have publicly stated that particular brand of bigotry and been proud.

If you want to lie then say it’s a lie, if you want to hate say you hate, if you are planning policy as a politician to aid YOUR campaign and career say so. If you believe in what you are really doing is correct then stand behind what you are doing with more then “...I think so… I feel that way…because!” And if you believe the polls and the rhetoric, THIS nation is leaning toward those same insane politicians who don’t say what they mean nor mean what they say.

Have we lost all sense of reality? Have we become a society that babbles, bungles, and banishes all that is honest, sincere and just? Have we become a group who no longer can count on words that have meaning or honor or truth? Say what ya mean and mean what ya say already because your lies are deafening.
