suffocating

I suppose, we could accept the fact that good is not at its best until it turns into bad, and will become much better when it sours and stews and finally ends up worse than ever. No longer do we face double standards, we now are forced into debating the fake from the real, the honest from, the I was just kidding and the dubious from the doubt.

Checks and balances never work in a country where men and women don’t respect the truth. Scapegoats arise in a land where phobia’s run rampant, and suddenly become the word of the Lord. Enemies are immediately identified, to make certain no one points his or her finger to the real culprit. We may sound silly when we worry that Fascism is finding it’s footing in the land of the free; but watch closely as THOSE freedoms freeze and die, or removed.

Each day, each minute that someone named Trump sits in the White House, and a political party calling themselves Republicans are the majority in our Congress, is one day or one minute less we have to breathe the air of democracy; and I for one am already suffocating.
