Multiple federal government agencies, including the U.S. Treasury and Commerce departments, have had some of their computer systems breached as part of a widespread global cyber espionage campaign believed to be the work of the Russian government, according to officials and people familiar with the matter. While those familiar with the hack couldn’t precisely specify its scope or the resulting damage to the U.S. government, several described it as among the most potentially worrisome cyberattacks in years, because it may have allowed Russia to access sensitive information from government agencies, defense contractors, and other industries. One person familiar with the matter said the campaign was a “10” on a scale of one to 10, in terms of its likely severity and national-security implications. (Dustin Volz)

And all the while because of a Bully and a perhaps a very Blackmailed Stooge, TRUMP, has motivated all of the Cro-MAGA enclave and the Sedation Sad Sacks, summoned to the cause of defeating democracy by the Demigod, TRUMP and his Christian Nationalism Band of Evangelical Snake Oil Salesmen, the only thing disturbing any of them is the pathetic and pitiful poutines and puffery that an election was rigged. FORGET the real issue of National Security, when the F.B.I. Opened Inquiry Into Whether Trump Was Secretly Working on Behalf of Russia forget that because Former United States Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Chris Krebs debunked the lies of Trump’s delusionary rant about the election not being secure…WAS FIRED for doing too good of a job.
So as I permitted myself to indulge in my 1 hour of news splatter, (it reminds of watching a crime scene with blood and guts all over the place…the blood and guts of MY countries democracy) I heard a few Republicans in Georgia lamenting that somehow, there is nothing trustworthy about OUR ELECTIONS, any longer. A few said it was un-Christian to vote, some said, they would reluctantly vote but knew if the GOP lost the fix was in, and some were going to spite anyone they could and just NOT VOTE! I felt my blood pressure rise, the thud in my head banging harder and harder, and threw my hands up in the air and just wondered how the fuck and why the fuck! As Aretha sang so powerfully Who’s Zooming Who!
