to lament

 Today’s lament has been, for me, a lingering load of bull shit, which has apparently been around since the Congress was established in the United States; the odor of which has been sizzling, sautéing, petrifying, and polluting at an even faster rate than Climate Change. The sad thing for me, as I read and re-read history (Yes MAGA, history is the actual and factual events which have preceded your IGNORANCE, STUPIDITY, AND HATE) is that no matter the INTENT by our Founding Fathers (Right there should cause a GIANT PAUSE and an even GIANT SIGH, as in where the HELL were the FOUNDING MOTHERS?)… WHICH this nation NEVER witnessed the “One person, one vote, one value' means every person should get the right to vote and every vote must have one value.”

 

Somehow, especially in the US Senate, the so-called August Body "August" means dignified, serious and "body" (or "body of people") means "group of people"…acts more like an ARCTIC BLAST, in the middle of January, or the furnace of a home in the deepest part of HELL! Throughout the HISTORY of the US (Yes MAGA and FOX Viewers, there is that dangerous word HISTORY again), whatever the intention was with our FOUNDING FATHERS, to become a Republic and follow a form of Democracy, the goal as I see it was a faux piece of pretend, and the horizon so far away that even the Hubble Telescope could not reach it let alone take a photo of it!

 

So many instances and so many VILLANOUS ANTAGONISTS (a person who actively opposes or is hostile to someone or something; an adversary.) who have fucked over this nation for personal gain, but most recently during the New Dark Ages, people like, Josh Hawley (R-MO), Ron Johnson (R-WI), Ted Cruz (R-TX), James Lankford (R-OK), Steve Daines (R-MT), John Kennedy (R-LA) Marsha Blackburn (R-TN). Mike Braun (R-IN), Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), Roger Marshall (R-KS), . Bill Hagerty (R-TN) Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) who In defiance of all available evidence, the American constitutional process, and long-held democratic norms, these Republican senators announced they would object to that certification. And then we have Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY), both preferring Anarchy and Authoritarianism over Democracy, and seemingly preferring a form of Fascism, just to keep their Puppet master happy, and their offshore accounts fed!

 

My lament, like a pang of indigestion that gnaws and gnaws at my gut, is how can any of the millions of American citizens make a difference and have all of these Traitors and in my opinion Treasonists removed from office. Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at 8:06 pm, Joe and I said goodbye, cried about a million “I LOVE YOU’S”, shed too many to count tears, as our Best Boy Dog, Chance, was finally relieved of his pain, angst, and challenges of facing another day limited and lingering on. It matters not the number of years Joe and I rescued Chance and became his tribe, what DOES become the PRIORITY are the moments in which we shared our life with him! We love you Chance, and if INDEED there is a place for you to run free, free of pain, enjoy that kind of ETERNITY!

 

As Joe and I mourn the passing of our CHANCE, I also must add my condolences to the families and friends of the over 693,000 Americans who have died of COVID. For those who unwittingly succumbed to this PLAGUE, my heart breaks…for the friends and families of the deceased who tried their best to save the lives of those they loved, my soul aches for you…all of the death, pain, anguish had to be a moment in life, in which one might consider a nightmare, but never being able to awaken from it! BUT for the EVIL inside the hearts of the families and friends, too selfish to care for anyone but themselves, I feel PITY, no REMORSE, and ANGER. For all of the DENIERS-CONSPRIATORY MORONS-MAGA IDIOTS who somehow think, they are going to show JOE BIDEN that he is not a legitimate President…ALL OF YOU acting as Pre-Mediated Murders, ALL I feel for you is DISGUST and SHAME. As I see it, World War Three had been started when Putin’s Puppet, Trump was sworn into office (imagine if the Dems had only insisted that THAT election was stolen). Nuclear War is messy, not only for the Victims but for the Oppressor, because eventually, nuclear winter finds you in Moscow or Leningrad. So now, be it from COVID Vaccinations to the Divide between Church and State, to the Demise of Democracy, a rift has arisen in this nation similar, I believe to the kind of HATE which was preached during the Civil War. Trump has been programmed by Putin, the Republican Party has been compromised by Trump, and Putin is smiling as we eat ourselves!

I am ALIVE

 It was a good kind of week for me when it came to memories and remembrances. Weird that in about seven days’ time, I reintroduced myself to some friends I had known some TWENTY YEARS ago, a cousin who I used to hang out with at family functions perhaps some FIFTY-FIVE YEARS ago. Some of the now adults, who were teens when I directed a series of musical comedies perhaps FIFTY YEARS ago. New friends now a DECADE in knowing. I am friends with people on Facebook with whom I even went to elementary school, and that was to SIXTY-FIVE YEARS ago. 

 

And then low and behold, yesterday was National Daughter Day, and as I rummaged through my millions of photos, recalling almost every phase in my life from my Bris to my Bar Mitzvah, from the Birth of my kids which equated to almost SEVENTY-ONE YEARS. And as I culled through the photos summarizing all of the milestones which have permitted my kids to find footing in their FOURTH DECADE; I suddenly realized WOW, WE ARE ALIVE AND WE THRIVE.

 

And then I turned my attention to the PATHETIC PEONS who somehow have placed their POLITICAL CAREERS as a PRIORITY over the lives and welfare of people I bet they consider to be MERE PEASANTS. OR the RELIGIOUS SNAKE OIL SALES-MEN AND WOMEN, who have whored out Jesus acting as HIS PIMPS, explaining that somehow SCIENCE, FACTS, AND MEDICINE are SINFUL! I read about Morgues in Idaho running out of space, Hospitals in Mississippi denying any kind of care because all rooms and hallways are full. I read about cases of COVID in Florida, skyrocketing, rural communities in Texas, left to fend for themselves. And I became sad…(in spite of knowing that many who have died or will die, had gladly brought that on themselves)…BECAUSE here I was, my Family is, my Friends, are alive BELIEVING that SCIENCE, FACTS, AND MEDICINE helped save our lives! remember and embrace the past and face the future...

A whack

 Today, I read a post from a friend of mine, who stated very clearly, WE HAD AN ATTEMPTED INSURRECTION AND COUP, COVID IS STILL AMONG US…and for me, it was a WHACK ON THE SIDE OF THE HEAD kind of reminder. You see, last week, I foolishly let my guard down for a moment, and lamented about the outfit Kim Kardashian wore to the MET GALA. I detest the emptiness which is the Kardashians and the cult-like following of empty-minded minions who make these facades of humans into ICONS. I am tired of people who do nothing but promote selfishness, and are famous for being nothing but INFAMOUS, still garnering attention…WHICH, I truly hate and fell for, (her attention-grabbing actions) by posting what I thought was a snide comment regarding KIM. I must admit it did feel good to NOT express my angst, anxiety, pissiness, worry, and sense of doom regarding the GOP/TRUMP/REPUBLICANS/TRUMP/MAGA/TRUMP/QANON/TRUMP TREASONISTS/ANARCHISTS/TRAITORS/AND ENEMY OF THE STATE… (and believe it or not the responses I received from that post were many from my KIM K post).

 

But my friend is so on target. Somehow, we are still lamenting 1/6, as if somehow an attempted COUP by a sitting President is up for discussion. Somehow, we are debating if this was a good coup attempt, an average coup attempt, a mediocre coup attempt…if some of the sitting GOP Congress made up of Republican lawmakers were only half involved in the coup attempt, if some of the GOP Congress People were lax in trying to overthrow the government, were just inept in trying to overthrow the government, were extremists but not TOO extreme. (COME ON DEMS BEHAVE AS DID THE REPUBLICANS WITH BENGHAZI, BENGHAZI). And then we have Republican Governors and Republican members of Congress villainizing medicine and science, promoting fiction as their remedy, and somehow using their Snake Oil Selling Evangelical Preachers to insist Jesus hates masks and vaccines! (but insisting they are PRO-LIFE when a FETUS is involved).

 

We are living in a resurgence of the DARK AGES, and as good as it might feel to reminisce about rude and ignorant people on cell phones, double parking, jumping online in front of you, and the vapid, silliness of stupid people whose fame is based on them being stupid, we must not forget or forgive the FOLKs who are trying to destroy our democracy!

 I LOVE reading authors who write really scary novels about the Supernatural/Science Fiction. I enjoy imagining how I might actually respond or react as the Apocalypse is about to arrive, Aliens from another planet land on Earth, and what is Zombies or Vampires lived next door. Throw in a few ghosts ghouls and demons, and as I read the plot I wonder, just how would all of this affect me. Knowing of course that once I slam the hardback cover shut, none of the mayhem of madness will find me, and any machinations of marauding EVIL can wait until the next day when I begin to read the next chapter.

 

HOWEVER, I actually remember reading two books which terrified me so much, that in the evening, after I finished a few chapters, I would actually have to remove the books from my room, take them to the furthest room in the house and place a very heavy object on top of them; just to make certain nothing crawled out of the pages and found me. (UH-HUH, I speak a deep dark secret of truth) The books were ‘The Exorcist’ by William Peter Blatty, and ‘Salem’s Lot by Stephen King. To this day I recall thinking either the DEMON from the EXCORSIT or the VAMPIRE from SALEM’S LOT, would somehow manifest and attack me in my sleep. (My imagination can run wild). Phew I thought, those are only FICTITIOUS CREATURES, created and brought to life by very warped, and talented men who know how to share a good SCARE.

 

BUT NOW, I am reading the book ‘PERIL’ by Bob Woodward and Robert Costa. And you know, as I read each chapter, I feel my heart racing as it did with The Exorcist and Salem’s Lot. I am horrified, terrified, frightened, and fucking fear for my life. AND the most AWFUL of things IS, that the monsters and creatures in ‘PERIL’ are actually real people, most of whom are still free to roam not only in the dreariest of the night but in broad daylight. I have added ‘PERIL’ to the list of books, that are NOT permitted in my room at night and must be sent to the furthest room of my house with at least a 10-ton brick sitting upon it, to keep TRUMP and his CULT away.

 A hospital system in Arkansas is making it a bit more difficult for staff to receive a religious exemption from its COVID-19 vaccine mandate. The hospital is now requiring staff to also swear off extremely common medicines, such as Tylenol, Tums, and even Preparation H, to get the exemption.

The move was prompted when Conway Regional Health System noted an unusual uptick in vaccine exemption requests that cited the use of fetal cell lines in the development and testing of the vaccines. (ars technical).

 As I sit, about to begin a blog, having had my own introspection of life, right, wrong, good, bad, evil, hope; just to mention a few, I am still not certain as to what I will write. It is Yom Kippur, which depending on your own family's beliefs can be---- The holiest day of the year, for Jews, when we are closest to God and to the essence of our souls. I pause, actually, as I write, I hem and haw, I fidget, I figure out, I contemplate, and I hesitate, this time, CERTAIN of what I want to say, but UNCERTAIN as to how to say it. (which for me, is a very weird sensation, as I am often time an opinionated person, and eager to herald my thoughts). So, this morning, as I sat at my desk, hands on the keyboard of my computer, looking out at least six varieties of birds feeding on the seeds we left in their feeders, surrounded by two of the wild turkeys, (Eugenia and Earl), living on our property, the two chipmunks, and three squirrels; HAVING JUST read three too many stories about COVID and how the UNVACCINATED, have caused ICU’s to not accept patients, parents refusing to have their kids and their families masked or VACCINATED, and Republican Governors, playing politics with the lives of way too many dumb as shit peons, insisting that to mandate VACCINATIONS has anything to do with FREEDOM…I looked around (not up, because the God I believe in is everywhere), and heard myself mutter or is the word UTTER, “what the fuck, why the fuck, and how the fuck.” I am bewildered, bothered, and have no idea about the destiny of the world in which I live! So as the fate of the living is to be sealed for the coming year, I am left with worry, for the living!

 California voters rejected an effort to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom in early returns Tuesday as the state decided its second-ever gubernatorial recall election. 

News outlets, including CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC and the Associated Press, called the race for Newsom shortly after polls closed, as early returns showed the no vote with a commanding lead. Nearly 66% of voters opposed the recall, with 34% in support.

“No is not the only thing we said tonight,” Newsom said, speaking at state Democratic Party headquarters in Sacramento. “We said yes to science. We said yes to vaccines. The emotional place I am currently somehow entrenched in a mire of quicksand is one of, “THEN SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES OF STUPID AND BIGOTRY, IGNORANCE, AND LOATHING…But as you do so go and hide in some cave and do not ask the rest of us to save you!” And then I ponder and become perplexed as to how did this moment in my time come about?

Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) on Monday said mandates enforcing vaccination do not reflect what it means to be American. 'Vaccine mandates are un-American,' Jordan tweeted……. We could also note that if we're really going to have a conversation about what is and isn't "un-American," we should probably discuss those who supported efforts to overturn the results of an American presidential election because a group of extremists didn't like voters' judgment. ANGER AND DISGUST

 When I first thought to write about Climate Change, I was going to be snarky and sarcastic, and pretend my question asked, was actually intended as a rhetorical question…but as I considered the current events, from high heat indexes, smoke systems floating along the air currents having the same impact on our organs as would smoking two packs of cigarettes, deadly drought, at least four months of higher than normal temperatures, one hurricane after another, reservoirs and lakes drying up, flooding, mudslides, and entire towns being eliminated, my SNARK AND SARCASM, faded into oblivion, replaced by ANGER AND DISGUST… 

 

When I first considered writing about my outrage regarding Gregg Abbott’s personal political end game regarding his hypocrisy regarding ABORTION. You know, his one-upmanship to make certain both (his Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, who blamed unvaccinated black population for the rise in COVID cases, and Attorney General, Ken Paxton, accused of many criminal affairs one of which is distorting testimony, and interference with the election), were not considered to be the BASES BOTTOM OF THE BARREL candidate for Governor in 2024…again, I was going to play the snark and sarcastic card, but as each day in the Evangelical Christian Crusader State of Texas becomes bleaker and meaner, my SNARK AND SARCASM imploded and the outcome became ANGER AND DISGUST…

 

When I first contemplated a written blog about the Dance with Death by Republican “wanna be contenders,” for the 2024 Republican Presidential Nomination, their desire to use Pre-Meditated Murder as a means to entice voters to dislike Joe Biden, and in turn cause dissent, enough so, that no matter how many died, the effort might make these PRE-MEDITATED MURDERS more popular, I was certain SNARK AND SARCASM would do the trick…but then the numbers of anti-vaxxers and COVID deaths arose the silent killer carbon monoxide, and innocent kids and elderly people became statistics…and my SNARK AND SARCASM evolved into ANGER AND DISGUST…

 

And then I became numb, and the realization almost smothered me, do the Climate Change deniers from CEO’s to Billionaires, the Haters of Women reproductive rights, from GOP goons to the Evangelical Christian Crusaders, the ANTI-Democracy Q-Anon, FOX and Fiends Propagandists actually think CLIMATE CHANGE/RAPE/AND COVID will never affect not only THEM but their families and their generations of family after THEM…and with ANGER AND DISGUST filling my entire body, I thought…NO, THEY DO NOT!

 Texas Gov. Greg Abbott defended the state's restrictive new abortion law Tuesday, saying it doesn't force victims of rape to give birth and vowing to "eliminate all rapists." Abbott, a Republican, took questions from reporters Tuesday morning after an event at which he signed a sweeping election bill into law. Asked whether the abortion law would force rape victims to give birth, he said: "It doesn't require that at all, obviously. It provides at least six weeks for a person to get an abortion." Let’s be clear ladies, babes, sisters, daughters, granddaughters, nieces, if you get RAPED in Texas, you can rest assured that once you are RAPED, Governor Abbott is gonna send in his Republican Army of Evangelical Christian Crusaders and arrest your DADDY, BROTHER, GRANDDADDY OR UNCLE. Now the consequence of course is you get to keep that baby of Rape from incest, you keep that baby, and its DADDY will be carted off to jail…MAYBE…you know as in MAYBE that baby created from incest, DADDY is one of the Evangelical Christian Crusaders, who sure as hell is gonna swear Jesus made him do it, cause he loves you so much. Oh yeah, and as an extra bonus, according to Governor Abbott, AFTER you get RAPED, the strong arm of the law is gonna rid the streets of the RAPIST…after the fact!

 

The law, known as Senate Bill 8, went into effect last Wednesday after the Supreme Court didn't act to block it. It bans an abortion once fetal cardiac activity can be detected, which can be as early as six weeks into a pregnancy before many people are even aware that they are pregnant. Because pregnancy is measured from the first day of the last menstrual cycle — about two weeks before conception — victims of sexual assault have no more than four weeks to obtain abortions under the new law.

 

How late can a period be before you should worry? Generally, a period is considered late if it's more than five days past due. Although a missed period can be confusing, understanding the menstrual cycle and the body can help clarify this situation.
