But, secondly, I must wonder out loud and express my wonderment toward all of the Christians who have decided that owning a gun and using it to murder others is a form of being Pro-Life, will your “THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS” be the same as when people are murdered by your adoration for the Second Amendment not shot in a Christian environment?

 

I seriously must BEG THE QUESTION: if a person is murdered by your LOYALTY TOWARDS THE SECOND AMENDMENT, in a Christian establishment, do you offer a different style of “THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS?”

And talk about losing interest. We learned that Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, donated $1 million to Trump’s inaugural fund after meeting with him at Mar-a-Lago.

 

Not to be outdone, we learned that Jeff Bezos’ Amazon is also donating a million dollars to the inauguration. Bezos says he looks forward to working with the president-elect. “If we’re talking about Trump, I think it’s very interesting,” Bezos told Andrew Ross Sorkin at the DealBook Summit last week. “I’m actually very optimistic this time around. ... I’m very hopeful about his — he seems to have a lot of energy around reducing regulation. My point of view, if I can help him do that, I’m gonna help him.” (Chris Hayes)

 

Bezos says he is “…very optimistic this time…” Really, Jeff, you just dismiss his 34 count Felonies, his crime of rape, his removing and stealing state secrets, his attempted act of insurrection… All of that history, which impacted our sense of Justice, Law and Order, and Decency, is just like dust in the wind. To whose surprise, actually! This is Trump, whose own credentials to serve as President of the United States include the same inadequate qualifications of almost everyone he has nominated or appointed so far!

For Trump, if you happen to be a billionaire and supported his campaign because you understood that your payback would mean paying even less a fair share of taxes. For Trump, if you are a member of the FAMILY, upon which your allegiance is to Trump rather than the Constitution. For Trump, it matters not all about what you can do for your country, but what exactly YOU WILL DO FOR HIM!

 

What I do care about is the frequency with which Trump chooses people of dubious qualifications for prominent governmental posts based on their closeness to members of his family. The growing list now includes:

Charles Kushner, Ivanka Trump’s father-in-law, whom the president-elect intends to nominate as the next U.S. ambassador to France.

Massad Boulos, Tiffany Trump’s father-in-law, whom the president-elect tapped to serve as a senior White House adviser on Arab and Middle Eastern affairs.

Adam Boehler, Jared Kushner’s college roommate, whom the president-elect tapped to serve as the special U.S. envoy for hostage affairs.

And we can now add Guilfoyle, who was apparently close to Donald Trump Jr., to the mix.

Cronyism is alive and well regarding Trump.

 

Fifth, the Democrat Party seems to still want to play by the rules of our Constitution as the Republicans, under the leadership of Trump, have been successfully dismantling them.

Trump is a great con, and as might the Head of a Crime Family, Trump understands having his Brown Shirts all over the government, assures him of his tenure as Mob Boss. And it seems all we as a nation are doing is just letting this happen!

 Dear Senator Schumer,

Isn’t it about time you stepped down from your leadership role in the Senate, having demonstrated little to no leadership during your four years as a Leader? You have quiesced more often than not to the demands that McConnell and his ilk have dropped on your doorstep, knowing full well that, in turn, McConnell and ilk would NOT, NEVER, EVER move an inch for bipartisanship. Yet, you, Senator Schumer, remain the Leader of the Democrats in the Senate, many of whom have remained WAY TOO SILENT regarding anything TRUMP and anything Republican.

 

Donald Trump’s nominees are without an iota of doubt the most appalling collection of choices any president has made to lead federal government departments. Multiple Trump picks have already withdrawn, and more may soon follow. Yet the response from Senate Democrats — who will have votes and a voice in the confirmation process — has been remarkably muted. Ask a Senate Democrat about the nominees, and you’re more likely to hear “I have some serious concerns” than the far more appropriate “My God, is Trump insane? These are the worst nominees in history!” (MSNBC Daily)

 

“Clever to demonstrate bipartisan solutions wherever possible and look for ways to collaborate with our Republican colleagues,” you pontificate, as if you are just auditioning for some kind of PR prize, ONLY demonstrating either a sign of unintelligence, lack of awareness, or just spewing BS rhetoric. The Republicans have demonstrated NOTHING but disdain for Joe Biden, for the Democrat Party, and for Democracy!

 

Worse, they believe that it is politically clever for them to show voters that they seek bipartisanship, even if that desire turns out to be unrequited. “As I have long said, our preference is to secure bipartisan solutions wherever possible and look for ways to collaborate with our Republican colleagues to help working families,” Chuck Schumer, leader of Senate Democrats, said on social media. “However, our Republican colleagues should make no mistake about it, we will always stand up for our values.” (MSNBC Daily)

 

I am a Democrat, Senator Schumer, and I have not witnessed any hard-fought fight for your so-called values. Isn’t it time you stepped down from the Leadership role and let someone with courage and backbone take over?
