I have permitted myself 15 minutes of news every other hour. I have done so on purpose because I am a new addict and I need to begin some kind of 12 step program to wean myself from the dangerous drugs and narcotics which have become everyday life in Trump USA. This has been a severe addiction to kick, but every time I watch the news it feels like Groundhog Day…Trump lies, then refutes the lie…then lies again insisting he never denied the lie in the first place. The GOP pretends Trump really didn’t mean what he said, or the GOP quickly rush through the hall of Congress trying to avoid the press, trying to prevent their own inability NOT to lie…and then moving his hands faster than his lips, with the vacant stare of a deranged individual void of compassion and empathy, trump begins a new lie, and swears that anything he ever said before was a lie, even when there is audio or video.
So,I allotted my 15 minutes, by mistake, by watching MTP Daily with Chuck Todd (I have no idea what planet or what credentials this man comes from or brings with) and Mr Todd, provided a clip of I suppose FOX and Friends or some other Nazi-style propaganda program, where four very white Talking Heads, and one Black, but very whiteish person of color, to say the least, were insisting that the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, didn’t count because at one time in Mr. Khashoggi’s life he was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. Jamal Khashoggi had once been a member of the Brotherhood, as had Jeff Sessions been a member of the Klan, but Mr. Khashoggi realized that violence and religion used to excuse violence made no sense. And most importantly Mr. Khashoggi became a reporter, trying his best to provide real facts regarding the truth. In this circumstance, the truth about the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia and their evil anti-human and civil rights activities.
If any of the 5 Talking Heads of course four them all blond and white, and one of them all almost black but looking very white, had been a real journalist, rather than JUST animated puppets controlled by a Nazi-like propaganda machine, all of them would have been appalled that the day Mr. Khashoggi was tortured and murdered, along with his death came the slow mutilation of the First Amendment and the ideal of the Free Press! And yesterday, in front of his adoring lynch mob, Trump praised a Congressman for beating up a journalist, explaining to the tar and feather crowd…now that's my kind of guy.
Right in front of eyes, as close as our ears can permit we are watching and listening to the dying days of democracy…and nothing AT ALL is being done to stop its death!
