With great ease, America has become the victim of its own circumstances, taken advantage by the boggy man hidden in the closet, and the bogeymen who opened the closet door letting all of his nightmarish odor and ugly flow freely into our lives. A clown named Trump became a sensation, a wannabe permitted to show and tell, even though all his glitter was gifted from his father and his gold stolen from the government by hardly paying his taxes and participating in the American way. The con was perfected because the crowd wanted quick fixes, mixed with glamour and intrigue and a fictional cast of characters as scheming and selfish as one might have found the television show Dynasty!
Never a country to really come to terms with its differences, albeit one to brag about the various influences which supposedly made us great, we indeed fought among ourselves, pretending that our Civil War ended, and its demise permitted a rejuvenation of acceptance and appreciation for differences. Lying, letting old wounds fester, never finding cures, we moved forward and with each step ahead, many still angry that too many others were occupying our land, belligerence, and bigotry began to blossom in the basements, the dark and dank recesses where hate had hope.
Its takes very sinister people to best understand the weakness of innocence. It takes very unscrupulous people to turn the truth into the unnecessary, and it makes the willingness of those who see themselves as victims to coalesce and comply, with the understanding that in doing so, the beast will be beaten, and the real enemy sought and destroyed.
Democracy had never been perfect, the weakness was that it begged for all men and women to find equality and freedom. Capitalism never trickled down, like so-called tax breaks, and instead of finding itself at the root of making things grow, it became damned up and only used for the lives of a few. It was a simple then for a man like Putin, to snooker a schmuck, a fraud with finances to do a deal with the devil. It was even more comfortable when a group of mainly older white guys wanting to retain the power to join an allegiance and help tell the right lie. It was also easier to assure the folks who never go over losing the Civil War, that their past needed to be put back its place of prestige. America, may, today, on Thursday, October 5, 2018, discover just how was willed and powerless, the so-called Super Power really has become, because of the selfishness, self-serving, and shamefulness of men and women who care less about the future, but want to preserve the present as a relic from the past. With great ease, Putin, Trump, McConnell, Ryan have decimated democracy to the applause of angry lemmings pretending they actually will share in a piece of the winning pie!
