Left To Their Own Devices

“I could leave you, say goodbye

Or I could love you, if I try
And I could
And left to my own devices, I probably would
Left to my own devices, I probably would” (Left to My Own Devices/Chris Lowe/Neal Tennant)

As I write this, about 11:30 AM on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, which even before NOON this country has listed an intake of 172,000 to date new cases of COVID-19, the following occurrences, happened, in no order of importance, but all-important in just how miserably selfish enough Americans have remained regarding the health and welfare of OTHER Americans, and most importantly members of their families and friends! (I leave out their own self disrespect, because as I see it, these fools, should all be placed on an island, and left to rot, while left to their own devices.

Provo-based Utah Valley Hospital is implementing new precautions after several conspiracy theorists attempted to sneak into the intensive care unit, reports NBC affiliate KSL-TV. Hospital administrator Kyle Hansen told the Provo City Council this week that five people questioning if the ICU was actually as full as the hospital claimed attempted to get inside, some with video cameras.

“Because we had states that were restricting businesses, restricting activities,” he explained, “we forced cases to be building up in this season when you cannot social distance.” Next, Atlas suggested — in reference to the tragic effects of isolation on the nation’s elderly — that it’s acceptable to potentially place their lives at risk by holding large gatherings because “for many people, this is their final Thanksgiving.” (Trump COVID Advisor/Scott Atlas, who IS NOT, let me repeat IS NOT NOR NEVER WAS an Infectious Disease Professional

As Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) took the Senate floor on Monday, he had one request for Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska). “Please wear a mask,” he asked Sullivan. On Twitter, Brown argued the incident showed a lack of concern about spreading the virus among GOP senators. “Once again, I asked my Republican colleagues to stop endangering all the Senate workers — and simply wear a mask when presiding over the Senate,” he tweeted, “Once again, they refused.”/And then, of course, the guy for whom he swears Jesus oftentimes pays a visit to his home or his father’s home to make certain he is the Prophet, Teddy Cruz, had a response: Republican calling Senator Sherrod Brown a 'complete a**' after the Democratic lawmaker complained about GOP colleagues not wearing face masks while speaking during a Senate hearing on Monday.

And last (for now, but not least) Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds has signed a statewide mask mandate amid soaring numbers of coronavirus cases — ending her months of unwavering opposition to what she dismissed as ineffective “feel-good” measures. Perhaps, having 190,000 cases of COVID in her state and 2,023 deaths, this staunch MAGA, either found God, or was fearful, God would leave her behind…or was it she found Trump, but like anyone else, once he is out of office he will leave her behind?
