Each man has received gifts, as in BRIBES, from wealthy GOP Donors, and both Cruz and Cornyn act shocked, hurt, and insulted, that anyone, especially Democrats, should take offense that this high jacking of the Supreme Court, is made out to be SUCH A BIG DEAL!

Exactly which TWO STATES

 I too would hope that a TWO STATE solution can be found with regards to Gaza and Israel, but I HONESTLY must ask, EXACTLY which two states is the world inquiring about? Right now, Gaza is run by, and owned by Hamas; so I ask in earnest, is the world insisting that the two-state solution be between Israel and Hamas a Terrorist organization? 

If the world desires a two-state solution, between the Gazans and Israel, then why hasn’t the world gotten together and created a plan to rid Gaza from Hamas? Seriously, which is it world, a two-state solution where Israel and Hamas co-exist, or a two-state situation in which Gaza is autonomous from Hamas and is free from the tyranny of the Terrorist Organization of Hamas?

 

If the hue and cry is “FREE PALESTINE” then why hasn’t the world asked the next question as in “Free Palestine from whom”, the oppressors occupying Gaza using hospitals, schools, and neighborhoods as a sanctuary for warfare, depleting the economy of Gaza for Military opportunities, from Hamas who has demonstrated ZERO interest in a Free Palestine, or “Free Palestine from Israel, and still continuing to permit Hamas to use Gaza as one huge Military Base.

 

I am not against a Free Palestine, and I am supportive of a TWO STATE SOLUTION, but honestly WORLD, exactly which TWO STATES are you talking about?

Not So Free Markets, which are never free for anyone who does not own too much money. Inflation, an important economic pretense to make a huge profit, and permitting you to hide behind some faux anger that the government is to blame for high prices. Recessions, Depressions, depending on how the having way too much money crowd feels at any moment in time, they can immediately invent an upturn or downturn in most of the budgets of the 98% of non-having-too-much money Americans.

 

HealthCare. Can’t afford insurance, then die or die trying. Can’t afford prescription drugs, take an over-the-counter aspirin. Hospital stay, first you pay, or pray.

 

Let’s get real regarding American Enterprise, shall we? I find nothing wrong in making money and staying ahead of the doldrums of debt. Our society has promoted hard work, dedication, and the old prophecy of “pulling yourself up from your own bootstraps”, and “placing one foot in front of the other.” There are rewards for American Exceptionalism, except, as I view it, when you cannot afford shoes to place on your feet and thus have no bootstraps to pull, or when placing one foot in front of the other gets you to work at a job where you are paid below minimum wage or just minimum wage and should somehow be grateful you are working.

 

We are told to cut back on programs like Medicare/Medicaid/ Social Security/School Lunches/Food Stamps because we are going into too much debt; yet whenever a request for taxing the wealthy is c considered, the same Politicians owned and operated by the Having Way too Money Class of People, call that un-American. So obvious, yet always ignored.

For all those who still insist that Israel somehow is the one at fault, for all of those who shout Free Palestine, yet remain silent as you watch the Hostages of all ages return home from the underground prisons owned and operated by Hamas, have you no ability to shout FREE ALL OF THE HOSTAGES AT ONE TIME!

 

So take a look at the WEALTH of the Arab nations from Saudi Arabia to Qatar to the Emirates, watch how they spend money on Hotels, Casinos, building Man Made Islands, furnishing their palaces with dozens of rooms and furnishing, and as you shout Free Palestine, start shouting, HEY ARAB BROTHERS AND SISTERS, WHERE HAS YOU MONEY BEEN IN TRYING TO MAKE GAZA LESS RELIENT ON TERRORISTS LIKE HAMAS, AND MORE RELIANT ON YOU ARAB NATIONS!

 

I am saddened that the citizens of Gaza are suffering the consequences of the actions of Hamas. I am saddened that not one single Arab nation, during the dark days inside Gaza, had made any attempt to step in with aid and assistance, to try and release the stranglehold Hamas had and has on Gaza. To Free Palestine, as I see it is to remove the Hamas cancer first and make certain that the disease does not return.

Unlike their forebears, contemporary billionaires do not hope to build the biggest house in town, but the biggest colony on the moon. In contrast, however avaricious, the titans of past gilded eras still saw themselves as human members of civil society. Contemporary billionaires appear to understand civics and civilians as impediments to their progress, necessary victims of the externalities of their companies’ growth, sad artefacts of the civilisation they will leave behind in their inexorable colonisation of the next dimension. Unlike their forebears, they do not hope to build the biggest house in town, but the biggest underground lair in New Zealand, colony on the moon or Mars or virtual reality server in the cloud. Scientists often say that cockroaches will most likely be among the few species on Earth to survive the next nuclear war. These avowed pests of mankind, who always seem to live a parallel life among the civilized societies, taking advantage of food and shelter established by the civilized society, always seem to take and very seldom give back. It makes me wonder, as the 1% percent seems to increase in wealth, purchasing everything from real estate, to influence and to Politicians, what exactly have they given back. Their tax breaks always seem to increase. Their carbon print always seems to grow. Their self-serving/selfishness always seems to expand. Their power, the sheer weight of their wealth always seems to explode. And of the many billionaires exactly what percentage of this demographic, has given much back to the rest of the world? I am not anti-Capitalism, but I am certainly anti-Greed.

 

I honestly must beg the question, “How much is too much, and how much more does one truly need?” I mean come on cockroaches, you eat our food, you live in our shelters, and what do you give back…nothing. Maybe I am just thinking of the purpose of cockroaches as I wonder about Billionaires!

I am upset at the innocents within Gaza who have been killed, harmed, and terrified. Should it be however, that Israel just stop and turn back, pretending that as has been the history of the past, Hamas will as quickly as cockroaches might, once again infest the recesses of Gaza and plot, plan, and attack once more, once again, and always. Is the only answer, the one answer that most of the world insists upon, that Israel, just pack their bags, look away, and then walk away…permitting Hamas to hide beneath the hospitals, schools, and homes of the innocents in Gaza?

 

When will the Arab nations and the nations of the world who never seem upset that the Jewish State of Israel is attacked, but scorn the Jewish State of Israel for defending themselves, become as assertive in their words and deeds towards the Terrorists identified as Hamas? When?

As I read the entirety of this article a few things stood out. The average term length for this group of “I WANT OUT,” House members is about 12 terms. 12 X 2 equals 24 years that these same people, have served in Congress. 24 years as in a major part of your professional career has been in the House of Representees. As in “Ya didn’t see this happening?” As in where the fuck were you before the fact, rather than after the fact?

 

Another theme within this article is how these future retirees are just so sick of Partisan politics, as in others were acting in a Partisan manner. As in I never followed orders from my own Leadership. As in as long as following orders kept me in Congress, I followed orders.

 

And then this, some lawmakers of both parties have concluded that Congress is just not going to be a productive place, as in everyone else needs to work together. As in I wanted to play fair, but the environment was making me not play fair. As in “don’t blame it on me.”

 

How convenient, indeed. These Politicians wanna be elected, and become “Muckers,” (big shots), until it becomes more convenient to quit. Hmm, so here is my remedy, I mean I am just an American citizen, so what do I know, or is it, what makes me think I should know anything about our Congress?

 

Here is my remedy for the sudden, “I can’t believe my eyes,” current crop of Congress People. Give them 4 years to make a difference, instead of having to fundraise and run every two years. After four years, if they are lousy then it is someone else’s turn to try. And if they were decent, let them run again waiting a few years to do so. Stop making Gerrymandered Districts legal. Lousy Congress people, usually come from places where there is no real competition and no real motivation to do the people’s business. Oh and finally remove Dark Money, Light Money, and Any Money from bankrolling and owning these Politicians, cut those damned puppet strings. Try doing this as in actually making the voters a priority!

LOOK CLOSELY, if you will, at the timeline for the US Gilded Age…uh-huh…it started in the 1870s and lasted until 1900. HUH, but those conditions seem as if we had been reading the headlines from today’s news outlets, and today is anywhere from 123 to 153 years later. WTF, Ya’ mean way back when Greed was as American as Apple Pie. Gluttony is as Patriotic as the red, white, and blue. Grifting is as important as Motherhood and Picket Fences. Free Markets for who, exactly, I mean it becomes way too expensive when the FREE part of Free Markets, is only geared for the very few people who own those markets. Government and Business Corruption, as in Dark Money, PACS, Pay to Play and Lobbyists, so any Politician may say he or she is working for the people, but then those people turn out to be Corporations. And “chuckle, chuckle,” indeed as we say the words “American Exceptionalism,” as in American competition is what makes us great, ummm, who you gonna compete with when way too many of the competitors have billions of dollars, hundreds of high prices attorney’s, and pockets full of Politicians.

Even as I sit at my computer ready to write my Blog regarding the subject of Presidential Powers, I can already feel my heart racing, and the urgency of my anxiety at the ready to take control of my breathing. Throughout my life, there have been moments in time where I felt helpless and sometimes hopeless. This is one of those moments, that has me wondering, why should I deal with something like this which feels so overwhelming, and so out of my capacity to change it. But as in my past, when current events, human interactions, and the winds of doom so ominous and frightening began to pounce upon me, I would not give up or give in. I had to persevere because, as I saw if I became one more victim of that army of evil, they then could place one more notch in their horrible belt leading them on to victory. So even as I try using my Cognitive Behavior Therapy exercises, hoping my breathing will return to normal and my heart will stop trying to burst out of my chest, I write, as if my life depends on using my words to stop the hand of fate from slapping me, my family, my friends face down to the ground.

 

I rhetorically beg the question, and honestly with a real zest to truly understand the question, ask, why do those of us who actually read history, and share a need for justice, values, and facts, sit by as way too many pretend, to forget history, prefer justice that only suits themselves, pamper themselves with fiction that fits the moment, feigning the need for values? I sadly know one answer, and that, just as sadly makes me as anxious as asking the question--- is it that POWER is the PRIORITY, so self-preservation becomes raison d'etre!

Money and the Moneyed

 Just two months before Republican primary season kicks off in Iowa, Thiel is one of several powerful Silicon Valley conservatives reevaluating their participation in politics. Tech heavyweights who helped ignite Trump’s candidacy have told close associates they feel alienated from the GOP and are casting about for a candidate who more closely aligns with their extreme pro-business agenda.

Peter Thiel is a married gay man. He is anti-woke (whatever the fuck that might be, except some rallying call for people who hate equality, freedom and choice). Peter Thiel is a God-like being within the Tech Cartel, and a self-proclaimed Techie, who wants zero Government regulations regarding Tech. Peter Thiel’s net worth according to Forbes Magazine is approximately $6.5 Billion, which places him in the Uber wealthy tax bracket, in which he like the other 1% has more money to bribe Politicians because they have less money to spend on things like taxes, which in fact if collected could alter the lives of anyone who is not in the 1%.

 

Believe it or not, this Blog is not about Mr. Thiel, who I do not know personally, but am aware of due to his once very cozy relationship with TRUMP, but this Blog is about Hypocrisy, Selfishness, Self-Serving, Greed and lack of Altruism. Peter Thiel, for me is representative of the kind of person who knows that power is money, making money is king, and having money can help become a kingmaker, and money can also demote a king to a court jester. Peter Thiel, being a gay man, still supported the Republicans, who do not support the LGBTQ community. Mr. Thiel is surrounded by many other Tech Billionaires some of whom happen to be Jewish, ignoring the fact that many to most of the current Republicans chum around with avowed White Supremacists and Anti-Semites. Mr. Thiel is surrounded by other tech Billionaires, who as heterosexuals are married to women, and have daughters, but still choose to support the GOP, which has made a major priority to own and control women and their reproductive parts.

 

This article by the Washington Post, states that Mr. Thiel and his cohorts are casting about for a candidate who more closely aligns with their extreme pro-business agenda. For me, as I read this article and many others like it, all that seems to matter with the Billionaire Klan, is profit, no restrictions on how they earn that profit, and as long as their rights to continue to make that profit and do not have to give their fair share back to the government, (except to purchase their Politicians), is all that matters. This Blog IS ABOUT, money in politics, dark money, bright money, and how any democracy within the United States withers and dies, being suffocated by money and the moneyed!

 

UNTRUTH works

 When I hear or read the Talking Heads within the News Media, state that Joe Biden is disliked by Democrats, and that Democrats are unhappy with his performance, I usually start screaming at either the Television, My Phone or My Computer. I start screaming to these devices with screens in front of me, and shout, “What The Fuck Don’t They Like?”  Then when I hear some of the Talking Heads refer to Polls stating either Biden is bad for the country, and that Trump is better for the country, I immediately shout, “Exactly What Country Are You Talking About,” and I then add in a pissy tone, “No one has EVER Polled Me For My Opinion!”

Yeah, I believe age is a factor for Joe Biden, but this man of his certain age, certainly has done more to bring back Democracy then most of the younger Republican Primary Candidates promise to do if elected. Joe Biden respects Women’s Rights, LGBTQ Rights, Voting Rights, Clear Air Rights, Democracy Rights for the globe, Rights for Immigrants, Rights for People of Color. 

 

I believe, as have the Republican Propagandists of the past have succeeded in doing, is to repeat an UNTRUTH, an UNFACT, over and over and over again, until it has traction, and then a life of its own.  With no actual facts or figures, but plenty of heresy and innuendo, the GOP as they had so successfully done with Hillary Clinton, with Jimmy Carter, with Al Gore, with the War in Iraq, with 9-11, the Republican Propagandists know how to yell, “Fire In The Theater,” as they safely sit outside that theater, and watch the audiences run for their lives.

 

It is not about how bad Biden is doing, but just how well he has performed, for a person his age or any age. It is not about Kamala Harris’s ability, but the fact she is a female, and a female of color. It is not about truth or morals or ethics, because if that was so, why even consider Trump for the job cleaning up toxic waste. Once again way too many people are being treated the fool, by the same Republican Propagandists who have done so over, and over again!

Page counts, of course, are not a perfect proxy for experience, but the relative paucity of Barrett’s is an indication of just how circumscribed her legal experience has been compared with virtually all of her predecessors—and even one nominee who was ultimately denied the position. The permanent , the 1800 pages, record of the 48-year-old former Notre Dame law school professor is in direct proportion with her resume, which is strikingly thin for someone nominated to a lifetime position on the Supreme Court. And yet, AND YET, both Judges have Court assignments which can and will impact our current life, our future lives, and perhaps the lives of generations after us. Who appoints federal judges? Supreme Court justices, court of appeals judges, and district court judges are nominated by the President and confirmed “with the advice and consent” of the Senate as stated in the Constitution. and confirmed and “shall hold their Offices during good Behavior.” Judges may hold their position for the rest of their lives, but many resign or retire earlier. THAT IS ALL IT TAKES, yep all it takes is having a Political Party in the Majority, a President who may not have won a Majority of votes by the US population, and some Dark Monied Groups bribing the Senators to vote their Judge into power, so those Dark Monied Groups can still maintain their power.

 

Hard to imagine many other areas where, the right experience to perform the job is not a priority. Medicine, Science, just to list a few professions, require vast knowledge regarding the particulars of the jobs they perform. The person who may have a Medical degree but never performed Surgery is a Doctor, but they are not permitted to operate. The Scientist, who had majored in flora and fauna, may be qualified to study plant life from another planet, but they would not be hired to establish the plans to build the rocket.  In most to many professions and occupations, the ability of the candidate is not always that they can do the job, but thankfully what experience have you had to complete the job.

 

AND YET, Justice Barrett and Judge Canon, lacking any long-term experience are handed responsibilities and decisions, which, like an inexperienced construction worker, aeronautics or chemist, are a matter of life, if gone wrong.

 

 

HYPOCRICY is their OXYGEN!

 Shock and awe, a whole lot of bull shit, and a serious side of a Holy Fuck. I actually believe that the GOP, especially the creatures of the night sitting in Congress from the GOP school of ghouls and goons, think that the Jews of Israel are somehow different than say, the Jews of the United States. I say this without snark or sarcasm, but say this with a whole lot of What the Holy Fuck! 

The ANTI-SEMITES from the House GOP, you know the ones who have fundraisers, political events, and social evenings with avowed White Supremacists, and who still support Trump who has invited avowed White Supremacists to his properties and the White House, are now pretending to be HURT, SADDENED, and ANGRY that Israel and the Jews of Israel are being targeted. These same people, who said nothing regarding Margie-Putin-Greene’s Jewish laser Beam, or Trump's version of there are good people on both sides during the Charlottesville Virginia massacre, who want only Christian Prayer in Public Schools, who call the Oath keepers and Proud Boys Patriots, suddenly are proud ANTI SEMITES.

 

The House debates and passes a Republican resolution to censure Michigan Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib over recent comments she made about Israel and the plight of Palestinians amid the ongoing war between Israel-Hamas since the October 7 attacks. (C-Span) While I am troubled by Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s commentary I do not think her comments warrant censure, especially censure from many of the same people, who had aided and abetted Trump's attempted Coup and Insurrection of January 6^th. The GOP Fascists, who still report to Trump, who still collect money from the treasonists who funded Trump’s authoritarianist attempt to throw out the Constitution, who still want the divide between Church and State to be replaced with a Christian Jihad, are pretending that Tlaib’s remarks are ANTI SEMATIC because she spoke about the Jews of Israel, all the while, as THEY spew ANTI SEMATIC, rhetoric regarding American Jews.

 

At one time I actually thought that the GOP might actually understand what a CLASSLESS and IMMORAL act they had become due to their own HYPOCRICY. Still, all of the GOP actions and reactions have done nothing to dispel the idea that for the GOP HYPOCRICY is OXYGEN!

DEMOCRATS DEFEAT THE POLLS. Democrats yesterday continued to perform better at the polls than in the polls. (The Atlantic)

 

Democrats won the Kentucky governorship by a comfortable margin, romped to a lopsided victory in an Ohio ballot initiative ensuring abortion rights, and easily captured an open Pennsylvania Supreme Court seat. Most impressive, Democrats held the Virginia state Senate and were projected to regain control of the Virginia state House, despite an all-out campaign from Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin to win both chambers. Moms for Liberty Candidates Rejected by Voters in Key School Board Elections. Agenda PAC-endorsed candidates secure victory across multiple states, marking a significant defeat for Moms for Liberty and their anti-LGBTQ+ educational agenda. (ADVOCATE) Moms for Liberty Candidates were completely slaughtered in Iowa, which should give certain prominent Republicans pause. Democrats recaptured school boards in Pennsylvania. And, in Albemarle, Virginia, Antonin Scalia's daughter was beaten in her race for school board. (Esquire)

 

Today, Wednesday, November 8, 2023, I felt my gut release, my heart beat a bit slower, my angst seemed less angry, and I actually muttered the sentence, “People might actually, defy evil, and fight for good.” I know, I certainly make myself aware that the kind of evil, we have witnessed isn’t easily defeated by the Good News we received via the 2023 Elections results, but damn, to watch whole communities fight back at Republican Theocratic Fascism makes a great stepping stone forward.

 

Good News is good news when it defeats Bad News, even for the time being!
