buyers remorse

"And I’ve had some time to think about START but not a lot and it's really wearing on the body. (salon)

Senator Lindsey Graham is tired. That damn Obama and his side kick Harry Reid have put too much pressure on the Senate, and that pressure includes doing the people’s business. Seems all the talk about tax breaks for the rich wore out the Senator, seems he was content doing the rich people’s business, but more than that is a stretch. Seems all the ranting and raving by his senile crony, John McCain regarding disregarding civil rights for Gays wore heavy for Lindsey and he just can’t think any harder.

Too much to do cries the Senator from South Carolina. What he didn’t mention was that he and his band of “just say no”, hooligans had a whole year to complete the people’s business. The delay tactics of the ‘Party of No’ almost played out, but then the Dems found both their balls and backbone and called the bluff of the bullies.

"It is impossible to do all of the things that the majority leader laid out without doing -- frankly, without disrespecting the institution and without disrespecting one of the two holiest of holidays for Christians and the families of all of the Senate, not just the senators themselves but all of the staff," Senator John Kyl of Arizona said. (Huffington Post)

Too impossible to do all of the people’s business especially when you have spent all of your valuable time trying to stop any and all work for the people during the last year. You and your ‘Party of No’ have spent every working hour disrespecting the people who elected you to do their work. You and your ‘Party of No’ have played politics with the welfare, wealth and wisdom of this nation disrespecting the Institution of the Senate.

I suppose Senator Kyl, living in an Ivory Tower does make it difficult to understand the needs of the common man.

Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) said he voted against the First Responders Bill because Republicans had threatened to vote against everything until tax cuts for the rich were extended and a measure to fund the government was passed. He needed to make sure the wealthy were fiscally healthy, and the first responder’s health could wait. (Huffington Post) (Hey what the heck they have been poisoned and ill since 2001)

The Senator from Nevada has his priorities and if the first responders can’t take time from their hospital visits to underwrite his political campaign the hell with them. True patriots are those who sacrifice their wallets. It’s the wealthy who keep America free, free from Senators like Ensign from having to do the real work for real people.

The ‘Party of No’ can not vote on more than one issue, nope they have their priorities and it does not include the health or welfare of most Americans. They are ready and willing to commit to their own careers, their own futures and their own lives.

It is near the end of session of Congress and the creatures that have lived under the rocks are rearing their ugly and selfish heads. They have been in hibernation for the past year and did not want to be woken from their slumber. It was a hard road for them as all they hauled was the word NO. Finally they have been shoved by voices that also remained quiet for the past year, and are cranky and irritable wondering why they need to defend their past behaviors. Too tired, too soon, too much is what they cry and carry on. And as a gift for their poor behavior the American public elected more of them for the coming year.

It is Christmas time in the city and when we open this crop of presents in January I am so sure there will be a horrendous bout of buyer’s remorse.
