the energizer bunny

As is appropriate for a not so Christian, Christian, someone who says he speaks for God, but never really listens to what God has said, Pat Robertson, famed self promoter false prophet, and successful capitalist, in the spirit of the Christmas season has blamed the Gays, yet for one more natural disaster.

Rev. Pat Robertson sparked controversy in yesterday’s broadcast of his 700 Club, when he claimed that God created the blizzard which kept the Eastern seaboard under 3 feet of snow “to punish Americans who were planning to drive to do something gay.”

Mister closer to God than thou have had his share of blaming Gays for everything possible. In a favorite passage from his Bible of the Absurd he said about Gay Days at Disneyworld:

I would warn Orlando that you're right in the way of some serious hurricanes, and I don't think I'd be waving those flags in God's face if I were you, This is not a message of hate -- this is a message of redemption. But a condition like this will bring about the destruction of your nation. It'll bring about terrorist bombs; it'll bring earthquakes, tornadoes, and possibly a meteor."

This man would be laughable in a society that actually thought and gave serious consideration to the loose loonies as being just that loose and loony, but in America 2010, soon to be 2011, the lunatics are the people who attract more attention.

Considering the majority of people who watch the 700 Club are of the same ilk and ignorance of those who watch Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly on Fox Pac News, (those who need no more than fiction for facts, who eagerly await a scapegoat for their self imposed problems who think someone who Tweets national policy can be President), it becomes quite scary realizing that Pat Robertson’s words are received with baited breath and believed.

The Gays seem to have some supernatural evil power according to Robertson, and they are always challenging the good will of Jesus. But it is not only the Gays who wield power to sway the human race according to one of Jesus’ henchmen it also includes Liberals and women.

"(T)he feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."

Just like what Nazi Germany did to the Jews, so liberal America is now doing to the evangelical Christians. It's no different. It is the same thing. It is happening all over again. It is the Democratic Congress, the liberal-based media and the homosexuals who want to destroy the Christians. Wholesale abuse and discrimination and the worst bigotry directed toward any group in America today. More terrible than anything suffered by any minority in history."

The 700 Club is a popular television joke like ‘Jersey Shore’, ‘Bridalplasty’, and ‘Sarah Palin’s Alaska’. It promotes the promise, that if you pay enough money to those who for some unquestioned reason say they have Gods ear, no matter their morals or ethics, you too will garner a place in Heaven. It loves to ridicule and lecture on what is right and what is wrong in America and the world. It loves to scapegoat and blame others for your misfortune. And it loves to rid the world, no matter how cruel or painful of those not created in the image of God the way Pat Robertson sees that image.

And all of those other Pastors, Priest Rabbis, Elders, Imam’s who say they speak for a loving God, are all silent in unison when it comes to correcting the lies and traps Pat Robertson sets. It seems that no one wants to go public and chastise this sac-religious maniac for his anti God rhetoric. Are Gays so damn powerful that they need to be silenced? Are women that intimidating that they need to be once again placed as chattel? Are the liberals that scary that they need an atomic bomb to stop them? Is Pat Robertson really that close to God that those men and women of the cloth are afraid to shout him down?

Pat Robertson’s remarks are moronic, mindless, and minimize anyone they attack. But he continues to hate aloud and it seems no one wants to stop him. It isn’t funny, or humorous just fearful and horrendous and like the Energizer Bunny it keeps going and going and going. Time to change those batteries.
