Three days before Christmas:

There is some celebrating by citizens of this nation because the people we elected to serve the people, actually took a bit of time from helping themselves and passed some laws which prove America is a great country.

For some, who seem to be blinded by bigotry, bias or bogus fact checking, the passage of these bills make us weaker, less religious, less self sufficient, and less like the intentions our founding fathers intended. For that group (who primarily receive their fiction from FOX PAC, or listen to hateful sermons from preachers closer to the devil than God) all this catering to Gays, First Responders, Unemployed, Poor is not the American way.

This group of self serving zealots, embrace the Tweets of Sarah Palin, the chalkboard of Glenn Beck, the burps and farts of Rush Limbaugh, the double speak of Newt Gingrich, the flip flops of John McCain, and the lies of every single Tea Bag Low Life they voted for in 2010.

We are told by the smarmier folks who identify as Republicans/Tea Baggers Senators like McConnell of Kentucky, Kyl of Arizona, and DeMint of South Carolina, that the Progressives will not even recognize the Washington of 2010, when they the Legion of Doom, return with more power in 2011. These champions of injustice, the boys who belong to big business, the chow hounds of big corporations, swear on some stack of sacrilegious New Testament Bibles that health care will be watered down, the Dream Act was just a pipe dream, and that anything with the word Gay attached to it will go to the bottom of the alphabet. We are told by this harem of hooligans that the deficit is the magic word, and even as they cut a break for the wealthy they will be destroying social security, medicare, unemployment benefits and any other 'gimme program' the folks at FOX rant and rave about.

Its three days before Christmas, and poor souls like Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, so tired having to use his brain to both spew hate and fend off truth, can finally celebrate the season. He and his fellow group of deny-ers can fly to their mansions, provide dozens of gifts to their families (maybe Senator Graham's significant other), and indulge in the creature comforts Capitalism provides for those who get elected by the people, but paid by the Lobbyists.

It's three days before Christmas and the President smiled before the camera telling America that compromise worked, and the American people won. The curmudgeons carolled in the background, some Blue Dog Dems, and most cold blooded Republicans, wait till after hoo, hoo hoo is over, we will bring you bags of bah hum bug.

A gift for all of those good Americans who really believe in the Constitution, the Christian way, the sanctity of life, peace, joy equality and Christmas, would be to fight back. Fight back loud and proud all of the injustices those who think through their asses or those who serve for self serving reasons will try to place on the agenda. Fight back the foibles, fables fiction and fabrications those who own no truth will spout and sputter. Fight back the lies which are founded from fear, ignorance, and hate.

Three days before Christmas we as a nation of good people did receive some fine gifts, but I wonder how soon we may have to return them when the majority of Republican/Tea Baggers come to Washington.
