It’s about the jobs, baby, and baby, about smaller government.
Representative Peter King of New York State is holding hearings in the Congress regarding the Muslims living in America and ALL of their efforts to convert every single believer in Islam into becoming a terrorist. He has taken time from the Republican/Bagger effort to create jobs and cut the size of government to accuse all Muslims as potential terrorists. He is correct in wanting to better understand how terrorism grows and blossoms but deciding that all Muslims have the potential to become a member of a terrorist cell and need to be sought after does no one any good. Mr. King a member of the job, jobs, jobs, smaller, smaller, smaller government political party of Republicans/Baggers has decided that government sanctioned scapegoat of an entire religion, proposing anti Islamic action. He is assuming that one religion is not a true American religion and anyone believing in it is bad. Once again, the Republican/baggers have proven that this is not about jobs, nor smaller government only about fanning the flames of fear and forcing folly.
Peter King has stated that radical Islam is a distinct threat that must be investigated regardless of whose sensibilities are offended. And in making that remark he then assumed that anyone who believes in Islam must have the tendencies toward terror and if you might be a terrorist who cares about your sensibilities. The congressman, a Republican, pointed to his support in the 1990s for hearings into right-wing militias, on grounds that they were the danger of that time. But he never attacked the sensibilities of the religious Christian evangelical right wing members who supported and support the militias. So no Christian sensibilities attacked. Mr. King supported the Irish Republican Army’s political wing in the 1980s and 1990s, a time when the IRA was involved in violence in Northern Ireland. Perhaps those terrorists were only killing people in the United Kingdom but Irish Catholic Americans in this country were sending dollars to support the violence. Should we now assume that all Irish Catholics have the same penchant and passion to cause violence in this country if they were so good t the chaos in Europe?
This man is shameful; his party’s relentless outcry of smaller government more jobs is a sham. He is in a powerful position in politics because some of us stayed home in 2010 and did not vote, some of us had amnesia and forgot how deceitful Republican majorities in Washington can be, and those of us who thought after two years the current bums needed to be voted out led this man and hypocritical slew of liars into office as we voted in this roque of Republicans. Karl Rove made the statement that divide and conquer is a winning tactic. Never addresses the real problem but set up falsehoods sending the ignorant on missions of blame so they are too busy to notice their needs have been hijacked. Make sure when a problem is too hard to solve, or solving the problem leads back to your misbehavior, one must confuse the issue and then to issue others why the newly created issue is so bad.
The next two years will find talk, talk, talk about smaller government and jobs, but the only resolve will be to take away rights from Gays, women, wage earners, teachers making government more intrusive in people’s lives. The next two years will find the current majority demanding we abide by the Constitution but only their version of the abridged version leaving out the distinct separation of church and state, all men and women are created equal. The next two years will find that lobbyists from corporations who feed the coffers of Republican/Baggers will have a voice at the government table and men like the Koch Brothers, CEO’s of Wall Street Banks, Health Insurance companies and the Oil Cartel will be a de facto government keeping the rich richer and the poor unable to pay for food shelter and education.
Congressman Peter King cares not about offending an entire religion and has no problem playing in double standards. Those pesky Muslims didn’t vote Republican anyway and once the unions are dispersed it will be one more group of American voters left disenfranchised and without any voice in the politics of this nation. His tactic is to invent a villain, avoid real issues, dismantle a democratic process and afford this country the luxury of Republican rule.
It is just terror loving Muslims this time, before that it was Institution of Marriage hating Gays, prior to that it was socialist leaning union workers, a few weeks ago sex starved women dressing to get raped. Much easier for the Republican/Baggers to find a scapegoat then jobs or smaller government.
