No words of outrage from the GOP as Puerto Ricans suffer the consequences of a government style genocide. Perhaps the same silence we heard from the GOP regarding the poisoning of water in Flint, whose population, like Puerto Rico are a majority of people of color. People drinking from polluted water, an empty hospital ship, and Trump arguing that HIS military should not be spending their time distributing aid. No words of dismay and dishonor as Trump delayed his mention of four Navy Seals murdered in an ambush in Niger. Lying which is the Trump norm, that other presidents never called families, let alone explained to the public what had just happened to our Troops, all the GOP can come up with is Trump did not want to discuss out ground operations in Niger to keep the enemy off guard….apparently, not so off guard as the enemy was ready and waiting. oh yeah, nothing says condolences like, “your son knew what he was getting into,” to a grieving wife and family! But then the spreading of death is like a game with Trump. Simple people die, not the wealthy, nor the white, nor family of Trump, so oh really gives a fuck! Cutting subsidies to the states to help pay for people living in poverty, making it too expensive to afford ObamaCare, just one more soulless affront to the American public. Trump’s jealous obsession with Barack Obama, plus Trump’s inability to serve anyone but himself, plus Trump’s need for distraction from all of the illegal activities he and his cohorts participated, make it easy to just let people die. Just as sad, for all of you who thought the GOP, was the Party of Life, is the silence most Republicans have taken regarding health, welfare, and quality of life.
The most disgusting group, however, are those Evangelicals who visit the White House to lay hands upon, Trump. A product of Jesus, they claim, a man God urged to become Leader of the Free World. I am curious, is there more than one Jesus. So I truly ask, is there two Jesus’s. Is the American one, white, and a bigot? Does the American Jesus, love to hang people of color or Gays? Does the American Jesus, believe that only the monied are truly blessed. Does the American Jesus honestly hate women? If there is truly one Jesus, then why are so many of his believers, his sheep so approving of the American Jesus, the guy who anointed Trump to live in the White House.
Isn’t it about time we take back a world in which we ALL want to live, equally, fairly, with justice and fairness? Isn’t it time to stop just ringing our fingers and start raising our voices, and perhaps out fists? People are dying, our planet is dying, and every day seems like Ground Hog Day on steroids.
