As much as we know, as Americans nowadays are permitted to know, 4 Crew Members of a Navy Seals Team had been ambushed and murdered in the African nation of Niger. Some of us know this after reading very cryptic reports. According to many Journalists, the mere fact that any American Troops were in the nation of Niger remain a mystery. But, the fact is 4 Troops were killed. Have we heard anything from Trump, who pretends that NOT standing for the Anthem or the Flag is an affront toward the Troops? Have we heard anything from the Second Banana Pence, who feigned indignity at a football game, again letting the American public that to take a knee is very UnAmerican! Free speech ain’t free, you know!
Neo Nazi’s once again marched in Charlottesville, but that is not offensive to the Troops. The LGBTQ community is once again the scapegoat of fearful Christian Crusaders, so being fired from a job, adopting kids, are back on the lets hate some Americans, is that offensive to the Troops. Women must now ask their Boss Man if they can conduct their own personal health preferences, you know because being chattel is so 2017, is that an insult to the Troops?
I am a Gay Man, the father of a daughter, the brother of three sisters, the friend to countless women, so tell me why I should stand for the Flag and the Anthem, when in fact my rights and the rights of those I love are considered less important. Why would good Americans, who understand in equality, freedom and justice want to support a Flag and Anthem in which the current government, has disregard for minorities, women, the LGBTQ population, and with the cuts to Medicare, and Medicaid and Social Security older people, and the ill! And now that the Republican Congress has refused to reissue the CHIP program, and Insurance plan for children at or below the poverty line, why would any one serving in the Military want ANYONE to stand for a Flag and Anthem, by a government that seems to say Fuck You to segments of its own population. Get off your high horse, the one full of apple pie, picket fences and motherhood, the current politicians in DC (the ones placed there by Putin), could give a rats ass about American patriotism. Understand what democracy is truly about, learn how it has been highjacked, you want people to stand for the Flag and Anthem then throw out the current bunch hacked into office gerrymandered politicians, and replace them with real Americans.
