“These are the days of the open hand
They will not be the last
Look around now
These are the days of the beggars and the choosers” (Praying for Time-George Michael)
Released from his self made bonds of Party before Country, Senator Jeff Flake speaks out, speaks up, reminding us that silence is deadly. His conscience, so says Senator Flake has reached a limit, it wold either fade to black or explode, leaving particles of morals and values floating freely, but floating away from his soul. In the past Senator Flake had little trouble deciding that WRONG was RIGHT, that BAD was GOOD. But now that he removed the cuffs, the hard metal cuff placed upon his hands with his permission, Senator Flake begs for some kind of forgiveness, and warns us NOW that the monster has crept from his crypt, and the infection the monster is dressed in will certainly wipe away the glory days of this nations past.
“And it's hard to love, there's so much to hate
Hanging on to hope
When there is no hope to speak of
And the wounded skies above say it's much, much too late
Well, maybe we should all be praying for time” (Praying for Time-George Michael)
It has been nine months of an administration, each day within those moments of birth we had been promised by the talking heads, the leadership of a Political Party, and by loud voices of very small minded people, that something new this way comes, and something better will arrive. Give him time, he will change. He is different, thats okay, he said he would be DIFFERENT. Alternate Facts are better for truth, truth, if it hurts, must be avoided. Nine months, was that too long, too little , too late. So, like a coward, who finally has had enough, who knew from the beginning that his decision to remain silent was INCORRECT, decides to change his costume and become a hero. Senator Flake, where were you when “there was so much to hate”. Where were you when this nation began to fall into an abyss? Praying for time, sir, now that is all we have!
