And where are Pence and his COVID Task Force, we know that Trump is suing democracy and playing golf! Spoiled/Bratty/Self-Imposed/Narcissistic/UGLY Americans, who JUST ARE TIRED OF ALL THIS CORONAVIRUS BULL SHIT! A tale of two

 There are two lines that will tell you the story of the American economy right now. The first is the one President Donald Trump talks about — a lot: the Dow Jones Industrial Average It’s an index that measures the stock prices of 30 of America’s largest and most representative companies. It tracks the value of Apple, Caterpillar, Coca-Cola, Goldman Sachs, and companies like that.

The other line isn’t on a graph. It’s an image of thousands of cars lined up for Thanksgiving at the North Texas Foodbank in Dallas. I JUST cannot understand how both paragraphs can be written at the same time in the same period of history, in the same nation, under the same government, and We The People, somehow think this IS some kind of NORMAL! I read this article, and suddenly my brain went haywire, honestly, my mind just collapsed upon itself, imploded, exploded, twisted, turned, and begged for some kind of release from this torment and torture. 

Then as if I was on a sugar high all I could think about were the titles of movies and books like High Noon/Tale of two Cities/The Wolf of Wall Street/Catch 22/Animal Farm/The Poseidon Adventure/Too Big To Fail/The Art of the Deal/A Book of Hypocrisy, A Book of Corruption/A Book of Truth/The Gilded Age/The Grapes of Wrath/They Shoot Elephants Don’t They/Lord of the Flies/The Birth of a Nation/etc., etc., etc.… Reading Ali Velshi’s Opinion Piece, reminded me, also of the tons of “Thought and Prayers,’ which always arrived at our shores like a huge Tsunami after Mass Shootings in schools, concerts, movie theaters, army bases, all as useless as the oxygen used to pretend to care was as helpful as spitting in the wind! Or the folks in the Red States or Viewers of FOX, or Listeners of Limbaugh, who proudly shouted HOAX/Chinese Flu/Democrat-Soros-Schumer-Pelosi Plot to Overthrow Trump, and who now are filling their overcrowded, and not ready for prime-time death hospitals, with something called the CORONOAVIRUS!

Honestly, how does all of this end, and does it end well? And please, I do not want to hear how we as Americans are just so OVER with this COVID thing, as if, our selfish, self-serving hurt feelings do anything but add fuel to an already out of control fire!

I had written off Raphael Theodore Cruz, a long time ago, but like the herpes virus, once you are infected, even if you try and behave, and pay attention to your health, it can still REAPPEAR, and REEK HAVOC, so even though it may be gone for a while, it just AIN’T forgotten. A POX on Texas, a PANDEMIC  of sorts to the rest of the US, because he still remains in the longest-lasting BOYS CLUB (the Senate) and a total PAIN-IN-THE-ASS as a person. Teddy, if you recall, told us that Jesus, visited his father and then his wife Heidi of all places HER bedroom, and told both of them that HE, Teddy was the next Prophet, and was INDEED the chosen one to become the next President of this here US of A. It was at Jesus’s BEHEST, so said Teddy that he ran for the presidency way back in 2016.  Somehow, Jesus never recalled those clandestine meetings and selected Donnie The Con. Trump and Cruz attacked each other's wives, citizenship, and integrity. They even threatened to sue, accusing each other of lying and cheating for various reasons. After Trump won the party's nomination, Cruz refused to endorse him at the Republican National Convention. The HYPOCRISY so thickly lingers around Teddy, that if he was an airport, all flights would be canceled due to a treacherous and dangerous and life-threatening FOG. 

 

But that WAS history, and I ruminated often at the time about all the DISGUST that is CRUZ, but NOW, I sadly remind myself that, the same disgrace to the political world which of course is Teddy Cruz, is a symbol for ALL that is IMMORAL AND IRRESPONSIBLE about the GOP, and their form of NOT GOVERNING, but instead acting as if they are ROYALTY, removed from the pain and suffering, lies and distortion of fact, for which the Republican Party has become INFAMOUS! COVID-19 infections rise, deaths blossom, unemployment rots away at American lives, and denial mounts permitting bigotry/racism/and any kind of PHOBIA to flourish, and yet the Republican-led Senate was ordered to go home and stay safe, not worry about YOU or I, because after all as Teddy The Prophet Cruz said way back in July 2020, this CORONAVIRUS is a plot, a ploy a plan to fuck up Trump’s chances to remain a RUSSIAN ASSET, and to MAINTAIN, Republican AUTHORITARIAN control on this government.

 

 

 

 

 

STOCHASTIC TERRORISM

  

“I thought I knew nothing, then realized I knew it all, only to find out there was more to know, and all or nothing neither suited my situation, nor comforted my quest for knowledge.” (Gerry Buncher/sans 2016-2020) I was and am caught in the quilt-like patchwork of committing to commonsense, and my unrequited dislike (not love) toward the ineffectual failures of truth-tellers to lay a heavy blow to the liars, who feel both lofty and Lord-like, permitting the loser to win, and the winner always somehow on the defensive! I have struggled with the concept of GOOD VERSUS EVIL, for many decades of my life (amazing, I might add, to find myself at that point in my own life when the word decade describes portions of MY own history), but honestly, ever since the debacle which became the 2016 election of Trump, and the magnification of anything MAGA, I found myself in a Don Quixote-Esque quest against windmills  (Don Quixote's fight with the windmills. He sees some windmills and thinks they are giants. When he rides to fight with them, he is knocked off his horse. Sancho tells him they are only windmills, but Don Quixote does not believe him.) I looked for rhyme reason or rationale but remained stumped and oh so frustrated. But today (DUH, why it took so long) after reading some articles regarding WTF has happened to America, I discovered an answer, NOT THE ANSWER, but a way forward as to WTF…it is termed STOCHASTIC TERRORISM. And now that I know this term and its definitions, I am not at complete peace with the world in which I live, but I at least understand the war I must fight!

 

STOCHASTIC TERRORISM/ the public demonization of a person or group resulting in the incitement of a violent act, which is statistically probable but whose specifics cannot be predicted: The use of mass public communication, usually against a particular individual or group, which incites or inspires acts of terrorism which are statistically probable but happen seemingly at random. Stochastic terrorism lets bullies operate in the open with full deniability since the random element erases any provable causation. Tellingly, the word stochastic comes from the Greek stochastikos, meaning “proceeding by guesswork” and “skillful in aiming.” Both are apt here. Thanksgiving 2020

 Melancholy can have causes that aren't due to underlying disease. Examples include seeing a sad movie, loss of a loved one or object, or a good thing coming to an end. People love to live in the moment: that can be good sometimes, but don't be caught up in the moment so much that you forget that you're creating a memory. Moments are in the present, but memories last forever. I was up way too early, sleep it seemed requested a break for the night, and was replaced with a perseverance or was it a persistence of rejecting rest as a priority, replacing it with concern, consternation, and perceived complexities of the world in which I found myself living! Too often, have I obsessed about the daily demons, when all I wished for or wanted or waited for, was life to return to doldrums’, instead of delusions and dismal despair. My mind racing took hold of a restful calm, and somehow I needed to get out from under the comfort of a slumber snug and secure, and awaken to wonder, what, why, and how… And as I arose, to a grey Thanksgiving Day, finding more leaves on the ground than the trees from which they once blossomed, and a rafter of turkeys strutting across our front yard, drizzle selectively collecting in random puddles, I inhaled, exhaled with a little more force and a sense of melancholy, for the moment, meandered as memories made inroads in my mind, mostly filled with maddening machinations, defining my mood.

 

I remember when, I said to no one but myself…I am thankful, FOR, I was loved and am loved, I had experienced 71 years of drama, trauma, turmoil, tenderness, truth, lies, fiction, fact, foibles, fables, fear, and hope, and throughout managed to hang on, hone in and hold up. Nothing, though, I then thought, once again with a deep inhale, NOTHING, LIKE NOW, has ever happened to me, BEFORE, and then finally exhaling so forcefully that my lungs actually hurt, but as the last bit of oxygen escaped into the air, I whispered, I AM STILL HERE! This Thanksgiving is not like any other, but nonetheless, it IS HERE, and it is NOW. To those who desire, give thanks, and be thankful, to those who are deterred, try to begin again, and to those who dream, believe that something called tomorrow will begin in ten, nine, eight seven, six, five…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Human and Nature

  

A self-serving bias is any cognitive or perceptual process that is distorted by the need to maintain and enhance self-esteem, or the tendency to perceive oneself in an overly favorable manner.

 

Mental fatigue is a condition triggered by prolonged cognitive activity. Basically, it sends your brain into overdrive, leaving you exhausted, hampering your productivity and overall cognitive function. Mental fatigue is a transient decrease in maximal cognitive performance resulting from prolonged periods of cognitive activity. Mental fatigue can manifest as somnolence, lethargy, or directed attention fatigue.

 

Suffering, or pain in a broad sense, may be an experience of unpleasantness and aversion associated with the perception of harm or threat of harm in an individual. Suffering is the basic element that makes up the negative valence of affective phenomena. The opposite of suffering is pleasure or happiness.

 

More specifically, death occurs when a living entity experiences irreversible cessation of all functioning. As it pertains to human life, death is an irreversible process where someone loses their existence as a person.

 

And so I wonder, how self-serving, must a person become in spite of whatever the degree of mental fatigue he or she insists is feeling, to ignore the suffering of those who have tested positive for the CORONAVIRUS (12.7 Million Americans), or the end of suffering for the deaths of (260,000 Americans), and the daily barrage on the First Responders and Health Care Professionals who place the health of their lives on the line! I can not control, nor wish to, the activities of anyone, but I must wonder just why so many feel that no one else but THEIR needs, matter! Human Nature is a concept that denotes the fundamental dispositions and characteristics—including ways of thinking, feeling, and acting—that humans are said to have naturally. The term is often used to denote the essence of humankind, or what it 'means' to be human.

 

 

 

Open Skies

 The Russian Asset, known in this nation as Oligarch Donald Trump, hacked into office in 2016 with the wild and manicured assistance of Vladimir Putin, has once again demonstrated his PUPPET/PAWN status, toward his BFF Vlad, and while helping warp speed the decay of democracy  (not in addressing the CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC), in as many deplorable ways as possible, by sowing seeds of dissent and divide (regarding the importance of safe and secure elections), now adds one more zinger in his long array of treasonous treacherous tyranny and is ending the US participation in the Open Skies Treaty. This public act, along with Trump's continued insistence that BOUNTIES ON THE HEADS OF AMERICAN TROOPS BY THR RUSSIANS IS NO BIG DEAL, is just a few of the myriad of reasons why one might think Benedict Arnold has arisen once again within the boundaries of the United States.

 

The US on Sunday formally exited the decades-old Open Skies Treaty, some six months after President Donald Trump first announced the decision, according to the State Department. The 1992 treaty allows the 34 member countries to conduct short notice, unarmed, reconnaissance flights over the other countries to collect data on their military forces and activities. America's European allies, however, value the treaty, as it gives them the ability to collect aerial reconnaissance information that they would not necessarily have access to outside of the treaty. The Trump administration formally shut the door on the Open Skies treaty Sunday, exiting the agreement while moving to get rid of the U.S. Air Force planes that have been used to carry out the nearly three-decade-old accord.

 

And where oh where are the GOP Senators, the staunchly anti-Communists, faux patriots, who scoffed at athletes taking knees when the National Anthem, the ones who pretend Antifa is actually an organization, and who call out as traitors anyone who doesn’t sing the praises of God, and Country and Apple Pie? WHERE still in hiding from the public in their safe places in their palatial mansions away from the noise and news of the average American’s worries and woes. Where are the McConnell Enablers able to maintain the monstrous machinations of a madman still roaming free and dangerously with Top Secrets and the Nuclear Code…they are, as usual silent, terrified that to speak any truth will emasculate them and send swarms of swamp creatures called MAGA/Proud BOYS/GOOD NAZI’S/and EVANGELICAL SNAKE OIL SALESMEN after them and take away their royal Senatorial privileges.

 

So, Trump, will be out of the White House, but along with the silver and whatever fine art he thinks can be sold on the Black Market, Trump will also take with him any and all safety measures the US once had or held!

It must be the complications of constant concern and consternation, causing me to NOT BELIEVE, in the current state of affairs, which stated, quite frankly, churn as if in a cauldron, brewed by a very wicked witch!

 

Covid is running rampant, and we still debate masks/social distancing/Thanksgiving Super Spreaders as if death and dying, doom and disaster are nothing but cards in a deck and maybe the dealer will NOT give you a bad hand! My body my choice/this is NOT a socialist country/Jesus is the only person I will listen to, seriously, and yet people continue to believe that Nature is just another politician; a distrustful one at that and that Nature is nothing but hocus pocus and if ignored will suddenly disappear! How does one describe a daily rise, in new COVID cases, and the fact, YES FACT, that over 285,000 people in this nation have died? And soon a vaccine, no three opportunities at vaccines, but what, wait, WHEN. And WHEN, HOW?

 

So Trump lost, Biden, won, but over 72 million Americans don’t believe or bother to consider legitimate, the legalization of this election instead beg to delegitimize democracy, and are supported by a Republican Party created from the chum of a fish stew which had settled in the sun on an island situated on the equator. So far, the truly most powerful man, Moscow Mitch, has declined any decency and has ignored the truth, remained so silent that it is deafening. And if Georgia, somehow floats back to the swamp permitting two of the Senate’s most selfish and self-serving man and woman, to sit once again on the THRONE, what is it we will inherit?

 

I had to wait, till a later time in the day, to write my blog. A malaise somehow swept over me, more of the achy, I just don’t know where it hurts kind of anguish feeling, but nonetheless, a melancholy, a malady perhaps of which I spent most of my day trying to manage and find meaning. One more day since the Election and many more days until the Inauguration, and as much as I want to hope, I am perhaps like Pavlov’s dog (Classical conditioning refers to a learning procedure in which a biologically potent stimulus is paired with a previously neutral stimulus.) and I have been trained to only think about the limitations of hope. I HOPE NOT!

I guess, if you have never been a victim of a mass murder or have had a loved one’s life lost due to a domestic terrorist, you might still wonder what all the fuss is regarding Gun Safety Laws. I mean come on now, it’s only a few thousand lives lost, and honestly, none of them affected YOU, (so one might say) I suppose, if you never were raped by a stranger or a domestic predator, like your father or brother or uncle, and decided an abortion was a choice you needed to make, you might assume that abortion is an abomination because all that the female is, IS, a selfish bitch, thinking about herself first; again because you ain’t no sinful lady (so one might say) I guess if you have never been unemployed with no rainy days savings, and the weather is pouring outside, or you never really needed to see a doctor because those who DO see a doctor are usually hypochondriacs, and even with pain and suffering still cannot afford to see one, because you have no income, coming in, you could give one shit as to the lack of COVID relief funds; I mean who doesn’t have a 401K (so one might say). And I guess if you don’t have to worry about walking or jogging or shopping or breathing WHILE BLACK; you think what REALLY IS the issue and why are those people of color acting as if ALL LIVES DON’T MATTER (so one might say)

So I suppose if YOU are not one of the current 12.3 million Americans having tested positive for the CORONAVIRUS, OR one of the 141,648 Americans as of November 22, 2020, who newly tested positive for the CORONAVIRUS OR are one of the 275,000 Americans who have died due to the CORONAVIRUS OR, if you really DO NOT KNOW OR HAVE LOVED any of those who have tested positive or DIED, I suppose traveling to see family for the THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY, is Cool! I mean fuck it, fuck that COVID-19, it won’t and doesn’t truly affect YOU…and isn’t the idea that it is FAMILY FIRST AND FOREMOST! I suppose, if bad things only happen to other people, and YOU are not bad, nothing bad will EVER, no, NEVER come YOUR WAY! And that whole Hillary Clinton mantra she used in the 2016 election about “it takes a village,” certainly didn’t help HER!

 This morning, MORE THAN EVER PRIOR, I felt the crushing ooze of a nightmare reality, draped in feigned ignorance, stuffed with the bogusness of mischievous maleficence and magnified malignment press harder than ever on my GUT, which somehow over these past HEIDIOUS AND HEINOUS four years has become the ONE-STOP-SHOP for worry and angst in my body! I actually trembled, as I approached the TV remote, thinking aloud, I must find out what circumstances we must brace for today, MUSN’T I? What devious devices devoid of dignity and of course democratic principles had the clown crusaders of Giuliani and his sidekick Sidney Powell, come up with? How many midnight or 3:00 AM Tweets has the mentally deranged demented dictator, Trump conceived to connive his cultists that Venezuelan Presidential Ghosts or the Democrats are nothing but enemies of the state, all the while, spreading nothing but lies and paranoia as if it was a form of Pepper Spray!

 

And as I slowly clicked the Power Button, an immediate flush of Ground Hog Day torment ran across the TV screen, careening, no crashing throughout the pores of my body and it was as if it mattered NOT, that this day was Sunday, November 22, 2020, because all that I heard was the same smattering and bull shit-based ranting and ruminations of 4 years ago, 4 months ago, 4 days ago, 4 hours ago.  Time did not stand still, because so far humankind cannot control the time-space continuum, but it seemed that common sense had been eradicated, normalcy all but erased, empathy emptied and truth had ended! My skin began to crawl, my head ached, my heart pounded, but as if hypnotized I continued to watch and listen, almost as if it had been a form of torture until I heard my husband Joe, say “Honey, why are you doing this to yourself?” BUT THIS IS MY WORLD, MY COUNTRY, MY LIFE, and the SEEDS FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS, so how could I NOT try to grasp even the most slippery of circumstances and try to hold tight to hope!

 

195,585 new cases of COVID, 256,000 deaths, a total of 12.2 MILLION cases just in the United States. And yet airports have seen huge numbers of travelers, and yet, creatures of the night are baying as if it was a full moon, saying ignore all that we are AMERICANS, we must pamper ourselves and pretend our superiority usurps science or medicine. At least 26 MILLION Americans will lose their extra bit of cash relief due to COVID because the politicians have decided to play politics with the health and welfare of the average American. None of them lose wages, or health assurances all have enough money for rent and food. And oh YEAH, McConnell asked his Senators (THEY EITHER BELONG TO MOSCOW MITCH or DELUSIONAL DONALD) to stay home stay safe. And the votes of 80 million people are being challenged because Trump finally has faced his real REALITY SHOW, of once he leaves the White House, a Jail House is more likely his newest abode!

 

Of course, there are more, more numbers of death, of bigots, of racists, of the ignorant, of the selfish, of the arrogant, of the, me, and only me, of the hypocrites! I usually find some comfort in at least writing in a blog, my feelings, my NEED to ACT-UP, not REMAIN SILENT, but damn, today has worn me out, and it has just begun!

YEAH, if only the recent bad hair dye drip of black ink falling on the crypt-like features of Rudy, had been an SNL parody, it would have seemed funny! YEAH, if the number of TWEETS coming from within the White House at all times of day, was only a Stand-Up Comic’s roadshow routine, they might sound laughable. If only the actual commitment of treasonous acts by this President and his Enablers were lessons to be taught in college as to HOW TO DESTROY DEMOCRACY, they might be reasonable to memorize, but mostly quite boring with an added as if that could or would happen…EVER!

Mitch McConnell sent senators home Wednesday for Thanksgiving break one day early, in part because of the continued unchecked spread of Covid-19 among his members. They are due to return on November 30!

 

The Republican Senate leader told members in a closed-door lunch Tuesday to “be careful” and make sure they take the necessary precautions against catching the virus, Sen. Mike Braun, R-Ind., said. Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., a member of the party's leadership, said McConnell wants everyone to go home, take a break, stay healthy, and then the caucus leadership will determine when they’ll have enough healthy and present senators to be at “fighting strength” again. And some rank-and-file Democratic senators and a bipartisan group of aides are growing more frustrated, concerned and confused with the lack of safety protocols on Capitol Hill, questioning both the Senate leadership and the attending physician, Dr. Brian Monahan, who has previously advised exposed senators against taking Covid-19 tests and quarantining. The Office of the Attending Physician has not replied to repeated requests for comment. (MSNBC)

 

In the meanwhile, leading up to McConnell’s words and actions, none of which have dealt with the spread of the Pandemic (because ignoring it means it is JUST NO BIG DEAL) to the rest of the American Public, he CANNOT continue to establish more Conservative Judges in Federal Courts, refuse to stop an attempted coup by Trump and Giuliani Anarchists (again DON’T ADMIT IT, SO IT AIN’T NECESSARILY SO) and can feign concern for the economy (BUT NOT REALLY GIVE A DAMN TO HELP). Stay safe you Republican Senators, so says McConnell, because there is a need to sideline the incoming elected President, refute fair elections as being a necessity of democracy, and perhaps STILL, receive large donations from his band of DOMESTIC DONOR CLASS TERRORISTS for helping create misinformation and divide in this nation.

 

TRUMP is not handling the Pandemic, Pence is not dealing with the Pandemic, The Republican-controlled Senate gives no shits about the Pandemic, and here we are still hearing how unfair it is to be permitted to spread the virus, because somehow it is more UN-AMERICAN to NOT visit family and friends on Thanksgiving, then to just delight in the death and dying as each selfish AMERICAN has more opportunity to spread the virus, then to quarantine it! In the states of Florida (Gov Ron DeSantis ( R)/ and South Dakota (Gov Kristi Noem ( R) both refuse to consider mask mandates social distancing recommendations and testing, insisting that it is more of a lack of respect for the non-believer’s rights than the citizens whose desire is to contain this virus, and maintain the lives of thousands and millions. Both of these Governors never speak of the dead in their states or the dying or the loss of family or friend, and both do not relate to their own individual citizens as being ONE person, ONE single soul of value or purpose. Both of these Republican Governors are part of the Trump Circus, a large tent in which nothing but the pursuit of their political careers is the priority.

 

One has to consider why the citizens of the United States do not find a lawyer and accuse the entire Trump Administration and the GOP McConnell controlled Senate of MANSLAUGHTER AND PRE-MEDITATED MURDER for lacking any initiative to serve and protect, care for the people of America from this PANDEMIC, but who instead, play politics with our lives, thinking that to please Trump and his base of MAGA has any morality, rhyme, reason or truth. Each of these groups somehow, like the Governors of Florida and South Dakota, demonstrate little empathy that ONE death or ONE person dying is not just a number but a human being. And to those who somehow still say my body my choice, and do not wear a mask, how is it you can look yourself in the mirror, without a sense of remorse, embarrassment, and conscience. Does death and dying FIRST have to come directly to you for YOU to understand the value of ONE!

And last (for now, but not least) Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds has signed a statewide mask mandate amid soaring numbers of coronavirus cases — ending her months of unwavering opposition to what she dismissed as ineffective “feel-good” measures. Perhaps, having 190,000 cases of COVID in her state and 2,023 deaths, this staunch MAGA, either found God, or was fearful, God would leave her behind…or was it she found Trump, but like anyone else, once he is out of office he will leave her behind?

 The governor of Michigan criticized Dr. Scott Atlas, one of President Donald Trump’s top Covid-19 advisers, after he said on Twitter Sunday that Michigan residents should “rise up” against its new restriction measures.

“The only way this stops is if people rise up,” Atlas said on Twitter. “You get what you accept. #FreedomMatters #StepUp.” Dr. Scott Atlas is a radiologist from Stanford who is the Trump Administrations Coronavirus Advisor. Ben Carson retired neurosurgeon and selected by Trump as Secretary of HUD. Both men may have advanced educational degrees in medicine, and both men are in positions way above their understanding of infectious disease and housing. “Secretary Carson has tested positive for the coronavirus. He is in good spirits and feels fortunate to have access to effective therapeutics which aid and markedly speed his recovery”  Carson, inhaled the masque of the red death fumes, as he willingly participated in one Super Spreader Event after another. AND Dr. Atlas believes in HERD Immunity/implied the darkest days of the Pandemic are behind us/and believes the health of the economy is a priority over people, and that this whole mask thing is overblown.

I have to wonder, where and with whom the buck or is it WHO GIVES A FUCK, will stop! Both men have medical degrees and I am certain took the Hippocratic Oath As an important step in becoming a doctor, medical students must take the Hippocratic Oath. And one of the promises within that oath is “first, do no harm” (or “primum non nocere,” the Latin translation from the original Greek.) So Dr. Carson, and especially YOU, Dr. Atlas, please explain why in the United States we have 11.1million cases of COVID/over 246 Thousand Deaths from COVID, and on Sunday, November 15, 2020, in one day this country had 135,187 NEW CASES OF COVID!

 This morning, the sky was a brilliant blue, but now, living on the East Coast, once again, it was the kind of blue that was tinted with a chilly fringe of pastels made of, winter is coming, and fall will soon become a memory. When I was in LA, the blue featured by Mother Nature, culled its hue from the warmth of the desert, and the sheer necessity that some faraway winds blew hard enough to remove the layer of bad ozone! But This was the kind of day when life seemed bearable and the New England term of “wicked,” chilly out there was actually endearing and made me feel defiant. Snuggly warmth, a long-sleeved quilted shirt, a scarf, and my baseball cap (one I swore as a younger man would never wear because it seemed so foreign to me) and a long walk with Chance, our puppy, even at the age of eleven, and the contrast of a universe of sunny yellow and puffy white clouds and the environment filled with leaves brown, yellow, gold, evergreen and red. It was a morning that held no prisoners, and challenged me to contemplate, consider, and choose carefully my thoughts! My God I exclaimed to Chance (apparently in such a sudden tone, to have him stop in the middle of a great this is where I want to pee sniff and look at me,) the world around us is mad, and yet we all struggle to keep our sanity, those responsible for the madness seem as insane as the craziness they embrace, yet, to keep on keeping on is of dire consequence! My pronouncement having been uttered, (NO, more like PONTIFICATED,) I felt relieved, Chance, peed and pooped and we headed home!

 

I had ignored TV and Cable News, even pretended my phone could only allow me to play Words With Friends or Solitaire, today, I believed, I would NOT obsesses about that which I have little ability to control, but a lot of power to change, and instead, concentrate on breathing, inhaling and exhaling, freedom, equality, hope, and promise…but alas alack, reality bit my ass, and out of habit I turned on the TV and rediscovered that Trump and His Minions were still at war with this nation and its attempt at decency/morals/values/and law. And all that flowed through my head was that Moscow Mitch and all of the GOP and the ass lickers living in the Trump Swamp were “Just Following Orders!”
