On Thursday, November 15, the day after the massacre at the Parkland High School, before they could even provide the nation with that Extra Special Moment of Silence, and of course their plethora of THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS, the GOP Majority in the House of Representatives, decided that the Americans with Disabilities Act was a phony way (for people who happened to be blind, or deaf, or paralyzed or quadriplegics, or categorized as needing easier access, or special accommodations just to live and work) to feed off the government, and the GOP Majority voted to no longer have the American with Disabilities Act an act of law. And as is the case for the GOP who vote against the wishes of their own citizens, the GOP made certain that the gallery filled with protesters be removed and escorted via wheelchair or cane, or seeing eye dog to the nearest police van and be booked for protesting in the Capitol Building. Also, just to hide their own guilt a little bit more, the GOP majority in the House, turned off the video, so no one could hear the protestors. Then, as if the GOP had just been victimized, a few asshole Republican Congress People had the nerve to blame the people with disabilities for not permitting the House to go on record of holding a moment of silence for the dead in Florida! Last year to this date, oh by the way, the same House majority with the assistance of the Senate Republican majority also voted to ease the Obama era sanctions of permitting people identified with mental illness to purchase guns. its anyone’s rights said the GOP last year to buy that gun. This day, as many Republicans were asked about gun control, forgetting the anniversary they permitted the mentally ill to legally purchase guns, many GOP wrung their fingers and had the audacity to say…guns don’t kill, but the issue is the mentally ill! GOD BLESS AMERICA and the NRA!
