The Midterms, we are told, just wait for November 2018, and we will, we will rock you, say the DNC and those who are either Progressives/Liberals/or just Americans who believe in the old fashioned form of democracy. The Midterms, as if that elusive horizon so far in the future is looming large enough to touch. Surprise victories in special elections and the democrat party leadership does the victory dance, as if a few wins mean that the future is ours. How wonderful if this fairy tale of a pipe dream could or would come true…but the thing IS, and for me it is BIG THING…so far this nation’s Congress has done NOT-A-THING, nothing about the past interference inner electoral process by the Russians, nor have addressed with any effort or law, the hacking of our elections and the collusion between the Trump Campaign, and now Administration and the dreadful connection between the Russians and the RNC! Are we that naive as to think that just ignoring that terrible rash of 2016, it will somehow disappear when November 2018 finally arises from the ashes of an attack on our Democratic Institutions and Principles coordinated between the Republican party, the Republican Party Donors, the Trump Crime Family and the Russians in particular Vladimir Putin?
I too yearn for the soon to be good old days of kicking the asses of the GOP whose only way of winning elections is to cheat and steal, lie and collude, but heck, HELL even, no one has done a teeny tiny thing to discuss the corrupt ways we have been hacked and what the HELL we plan on doing about it in the VERY, VERY, did I say VERY near future!
The Dems in Congress are still playing by some rules which have been dismantled by Comrade Mitch McConnell and peed on by Paul Ryan. The Dems in Congress pretend that any one calling themselves a Republican law maker actually follow the law. We are delusional if we just hope and pray and pat ourselves on the back that waiting for the Midterms will solve EVERYTHING! COME ON…Trump has been unstoppable because, his treasonous allies paid off or blackmailed by Putin and bunch of phony Evangelical Christians, have blocked anything called checks and balances, and currently are attacking the very Institutions we used to count on to provide law and order. To win the Midterms for the American people we must address, IMMEDIATELY, the fact that the Republicans refuse to play fair. So, how come all the Dems do is try to find bipartisanism, when it doesn’t exist, and tell me why we just don’t begin to play by the same rules as the GOP. Most bullies remain the pack leader because they are never challenged, just cowered to, lets play the game the way the GOP does, and maybe make it to the Midterms and finally wipe their faces in their own asses!
