SMILE

“Smile thou’ your heart is aching. Smile even thou’ it’s breaking,
When there are clouds in the sky, you’ll get by…If you smile thru’
your fear and sorrow, smile, and maybe tomorrow, you’ll see the sun
come shin-ing through for you!”  (Smile, lyrics Charlie Chaplin)

Just like his father, Donald Junior loves to discover that there are some good people and some bad people; but this time they are not of the White Supremacist or Nazi, ilk, they are the poor. It seems for Junior, that the poor in the nation of India, know how to smile, while living in squalor and misery as opposed to poor people in other nations. Not wanting to be glib, his word not mine, Junior just had to let the wealthy leadership in India know that they are lucky to have a bunch happy go lucky poor people living in their country. If only some Americans soon to be denied, health care, a decent wage, the split up of their families, polluted air, higher rents would take a lesson from the Indians, and just learn to: “Light up your face with gladness, hide ev-‘ry trace of sadness, altho’ a tear may be ever so near” (Smile, lyrics by Charlie Chaplin)

Rod Serling, HG Wells, Stephen King just to mention a few science fiction/supernatural authors often like to provide novels or made for media whose themes deal with alternate realities. Scientists working with NASA, and even those who ponder the universe for extraterrestrial existence, often times speak of alternate dimensions. Even Matt Groening, creator of the Simpson’s provided a few episodes of Homer and Family living in the fourth or fight dimension. All seemed or seems weird…BUT here we are in the year 2018, and family named Trump, living in a few Golden Towers bought and paid for by billionaire Russian Oligarchs, enabled by Republican puppets of Putin and blessed by a bunch pay to pray Evangelicals, have demonstrated that reality is not real, that what you see is not what you get, that hypocrisy is king, and that stupid can be inherited via your DNA, and that raising your children to be righteous, good people has nothing to do with being a heterosexual or homosexual, but with being a decent, empathetic, caring and loving man or woman. Junior is like that guy who walks out of the restroom in a swanky club ready to make the  one on the next sweet looking babe or boy toy, and forgot that his tighty whities are still hanging out of his unzipped pants zipper, and just to add to the look of DUMB, he has a wad of really soiled toilet paper clanging from his heels as he proudly faces what he thinks is his waiting adoring fans.

“That’s the time, you must keep on trying. Smile, what’s the use of crying, you’ll

find that life’s still worth while…if you just SMILE.” (Smile, lyrics by Charlie Chaplin)
