ACT UP, or AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power, was founded in NYC in 1987 as a political action group in response to the AIDS crisis. The group's first action, in spring 1987, was a march on Wall St. to protest the high cost and lack of availability of HIV treatment. The organization was founded in March 1987 at the Lesbian and Gay Community Services Center in Manhattan, New York, in response to what was seen as the U.S. government's lack of action on the growing number of deaths from HIV infection and AIDS. They created the Silence=Death poster using the title phrase and a pink triangle, known from its association with the persecution of LGBTQ in Nazi Germany and the Holocaust in the 1930s and 1940s.

No one knows enough about the Coronavirus, to begin to LIE and IGNORE educating us, informing us, and assisting us in making decisions not based on FEAR, but on FACT. Let us stop DENYING that even with the title of President or Commander-In-Chief, Trump’s LACK of awareness of science and medicine and the welfare of this, nations’ health and welfare IS DANGEROUS!
