Hitler murdered 35.2 million people, Genghis Khan murdered 40 million people, Joseph Stalin murdered 48 million people, Mao Zedong murdered 65 million people ,and THEY wanted the world to know that by doing so, THEY were AUTHENTIC LEADERS!

Somehow if Trump tried to create false electors, attempted a coup, had his ATTORNEY GENERALS Sessions, and Barr, act as his private attorneys, to defraud the election of 2020, none of that falls into the category of fucking over the United States. I might ask does she have no shame…BUT SHE DOESN’T.

 I write this BLOG, perhaps with great SNARK, in a RHETORICAL demeanor, or maybe, perhaps, in complete EARNEST. And as I write this BLOG, I am full of angst, a churning belly of anxiety, and a whole lot of anger.

When, in our human history did we stop learning some really important lessons about life, SHOULD NEVER BE IGNORED????? If we ever touched a hot stove, a hot pan, placed our fingers on a sharp blade…when we drank one too many shots of alcohol, when we tried to jump over a mail box…whenever we acted out of sheer stupidity and resulted in great pain and harm…USUALLY, we learned lessons on HOW NOT TO DO THAT AGAIN! As parents or older siblings, or even friends, we provide great details on the pitfalls of being foolish, on the harmful effects of cockiness, of the horrors of injury, both physically and mentally.

 

And yet, in America of 2024, it seems lessons of self-destruction, doom, and stupidity are ignored or, worse, purposely forgotten.

 

We learned that Presidents are fallible when NIXON showcased his distaste for the law. We knew then that no President should ever be above the law, and YET now, we hear the Supreme Court pontificate that somehow having a President above the law is a means to save Democracy. April 12, 1861, we learned that pretending that somehow states rights should usurp the rights and freedoms of any citizen of the United States, as in slavery being a state's right. We fought a bloody Civil War trying to correct this misleading notion, and YET here we are once again insisting that states have the right to discriminate against American citizens, be they females, Trans People, or LBG people. We fought a world war, understanding that Fascism, Authoritarianism, and Dictatorship are true enemies of the state and that any person seeking to become kind of a KING is dangerous to our FREEDOM.

 

When, WHEN, I ask and beg, and PLEAD, did so many of us decide that history ignored is no big deal?

LINDSEY.  Let us realize that this spinless, testicle-less Trump eunuch can never wander too far off his leash, fear of TRUMP RETRIBUTION, and listen to his words. 

 

I do agree, sadly so, that a large minority of Americans will decide that economics should be prioritized over something as amorphous for them as Democracy. I compare it to Climate Change for these same demographics; as long as they can breathe fresh air today, way too many of them don’t give much of a shit about breathing fresh air tomorrow. As long as they think democracy will last forever, way too many refuse even to consider,, that in a TRUMP second term on day one, that too will DISAPPEAR. 

 

But here is where I beg all those well-paid “Democrat Talking Heads” to try and actually earn their money; by informing and educating, CONSTANTLY, this group of heads up their own asses, selfish folk to begin to grasp a better factual present, and future. Begin in simplistic terms to let these FOLKS know whose taxes had been lowered by TRUMP (THE UBER WEALTHY). Who helped spearhead the demise of Roe V Wade, TRUMP. Who had helped Corporations to keep their profits HIGH while keeping prices HIGHER, TRUMP.

In a forthcoming memoir, Kristi Noem, the South Dakota governor, wrote how she threw Cricket, a 14-month-old female wirehaired pointer, into a gravel pit and executed it with a gun after concluding the dog was “untrainable”. Noem cited the killing of the pet dog as an example of her readiness to take on unpleasant tasks in the polarised world of US politics in her book No Going Back: The Truth on What’s Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward.

 This week, the Supreme Court managed to fail to meet the already extremely low expectations most sane people already had for it. First, during the Idaho EMTALA case on whether hospitals receiving federal funding can refuse to provide abortions to women who are actively dying as a result of a pregnancy, we heard debate over which, and how many, organs a woman had to lose before an abortion becomes legally acceptable. By all appearances, it looks as though the court is going to gut the already laughably weak “life of the mother” protections by a 5-4 vote. (The New Republic)

 About 600,000 people are homeless in the United States, with about 256,000 living outside on any given night, according to federal counts. “Punishing the victims of our failed housing policies will not solve homelessness. Maybe the quote, “There but for the grace of God go I,” is appropriate when considering the conditions of being with a permanent home, not living on the streets. Maybe the quote, “any place I hang my hat is home.,” sounds romantic, kind of adventurous, until you start hanging your hat on the top of a trash container. Maybe as we all sleep in our beds, in the same place each night, be it a mansion or a studio apartment, we could become arrogant enough to say things like, “if they wanted something better, they would find it.” Maybe as we purchase our second or third home, purchase a property to “flip it,” we are so annoyed at the time and effort it now takes to renovate a home, add on to our homes we have no time to consider anyone else but ourselves. Maybe when the local news outlet pretends to run one of their “from our hearts and conscience” segments and the coiffed, well-dressed reporters, often times wearing their-so called “street clothes,” you know the $200 jeans, the log- laden winter jacket, and their $300 sneakers, interview some people living on the street a drug addict, a person looking dirtier than the rest, some of those folks do say, they like it better on the streets, and as they say things like that, we become safely pompous and say, “nothing I can do about it, if that is what they want.”

 

Is it Socialism to desire all people to have a modicum of shelter, nutrition, health care, and both the physical and mental care? Is it Capitalism to even think that if people don’t pull themselves from their own bootstraps, they should pay the consequences, even if they don’t have the wherewithal to first purchase those boots to strap up? Is it now the new American Populism to suggest that “we vs they,” is a healthy way to grow or just die?

They INSIST that the true worry we should concern ourselves with is ECONOMICS.  Most to many of these LGBT folks live their lives in the upper stratosphere of wealth, so of course what matters is money, greed and gluttony, of course at the cost of equality, freedom and choice. Maybe this group of HOMOSE agrees with “don’t say gay” because God forbid any of the other Republicans might point their bigoted fingers at this group and say, “GAYS, BURN THEM!”

Let’s look closely at this number of dollars shall we, or better yet, let’s look closer at the folks who pledged those dollars; seemingly very happy and gracious to support the leader of an attempted insurrection, a fraudster, a liar, a con, and a declared wanna be authoritarian. 

 

Be it one person betting $50 million on supporting a Fascist wanna-be. Be it five people, or 10 people, or 50 people pledging their support for a Pal of Putin’s, a Mob Boss, A Rapist, it truly matters not, because no matter how many or how few had attended, then donated money to increase Trump’s chances of turning our democracy into a Fascist wasteland, all of them, as I see it are ENEMIES OF THE STATE.

 

One must wonder, which tax bracket most to many of these donors find themselves located. Is it the level from which little to no taxes are ever paid? One must wonder, do these donors care more about self-greed than the good of many, thus so deciding to pay bribes to a complete moron, so somehow they can retain their wealth? One must wonder are the folks who provided $50 million in donations to a man who has pissed and shitted on the morals, values and decency of this democracy also lack any and all morals, values and decency? 

 

It ain’t the monster that is so frightening, for the monster can only thrive when he ingests money. What is so scary are all of those who don’t give a shit about anyone but themselves!

Billionaires seem to have enough money to buy and sell, own, and operate the leaders, the rulers, and the heads of state throughout the world. And conveniently, billionaires oftentimes are actually the folks in charge of their various nations. BUT, as this wealthy class of Capitalists (Yep, even the communists, the socialists, the royals, the theocrats are Capitalists) build their palaces, their kingdoms, their selfish version of their Paradise, BILLIONS of the rest of the population living on this Earth, have nothing but trying to make it day to day.

Outside spending on 2024 federal races is outpacing all previous election cycles, according to an OpenSecrets analysis of campaign finance reports. 

Super PACs and other outside groups that can raise and spend unlimited sums of money on federal elections have already poured nearly $318 million into spending on presidential and congressional races as of Jan. 14 — more than six times as much as had been spent at this point in 2020.

One might actually be a candidate for the people, of the people, but if the people he or she is of and for, DO NOT have enough money to support those candidates, too fucking bad. If, however you are a candidate for the WEALTHY people, well DUDE you have it made!

Our only Super Market in the area (one might think of it as A MONOPOLY, is called Stop and Shop. Dark and dingy, usually out of the products you just purchased the week before, this Super Market is the only game in town unless you wish to travel to Orleans, MA, which is located approximately 26.7 miles, maybe 35 minutes off-season, but fucking more than an hour during the season. So today’s burning question regarding- so-called INFLATION is fixed on a few issues.

 

“What, wait, don’t tell.” Why at Stop and Shop, if one purchased a jar of Smucker’s 12oz Strawberry Jam, it cost $4.99, and the Smuckers 12oz jar of Concord Grape Jam cost $5.99? “Wait, wait, don’t tell me” why, for the last time, the Provincetown Stop and Shop actually had boxes of Fiber One Cereal on the shelves it cost $9.89, and for the next few months, there were no Fiber One Boxes of Cereal, yet if one did decide to travel to the Orleans Stop and Shop, one could find a plethora of Fiber One Cereal Boxes costing only $6.99? Wait,wait, don’t tell me.” Why, almost every three weeks, by the third week, Cool Whip is on sale for two for $4.00 and all the other times, it ranges in price from $3.89 to $4.28..28?

 

I happened to watch Morning Joe today (I find him so pompous and seemingly so forgetful that when HE was a Republican in Congress, he was very, very right-wing, but now somehow, somehow, all of his past has passed). Anyway, the segment I caught has Stephanie Ruhl speaking about the good job numbers and economy this month. Sadly the perception initiated and motivated by Republicans and woosie Democrats is that somehow the economy is worse that during Trumps’ Reign of Terror. But it was a very -faire comment from Stephanie in which she, without batting an eyelash, said, “Life Is Expensive, these days. Wait, wait, don’t tell me, but how the fuck is that an answer. Okay, it is expensive, but for whom, I beg the question?

 

Is it expensive for the  Stop and Shop CEO and their sharer shareholders? Is it expensive for the CEO’s and Share Holders at Smuckers? Is it expensive for Kraft-Heinz Company CEO and Shareholders who produce Cool Whip? Or is it just more profitable to make THINGS EXPENSIVE!!!!

Republican Legislators and their Banana Republic Dictatorial Republican State Governors love to play a modern-day version of ‘THE SOUTH SHALL RISE AGAIN,’ even if their state is not located in the SOUTH. Demanding autonomy when it suits their fancy, pretending that “STATES RIGHT” trump (literally and figuratively, TRUMP), Federal Law, these Republican states tear away, dig, and gnaw at the sanctity and security of the rest of the states. These same Republicans understand the valuable lessons that History has provided, and because history can be powerful, these same Republicans have attacked Critical Race Theory, hoping that their dumb as-shit flock and cultists NEVER RECALL how the Confederacy demanded the right for their states to own and operate slaves and the slave trade.

 

Of course, the billionaires who fund and also own and operate these Republicans,  are smart enough to know just how the declaration of Independence against the United States or declaring a Civil War against the United States could and would impact their own wealth, so at least there seemingly are some guard rails. But it does make good business sense to rile up the racist fools, keeping them too busy to understand that the real enemy is the Republicans and the ultra-wealthy.

 

As I see it as long as the Republicans play their well plotted game of “LOOK OVER THERE,” the racists, bigots, ignorant, xenophobic, white Christian Nationalists, will continue to find victims elsewhere, all the while being victimized by their beloved GOP.

 

Enough is enough is enough

 The filings come in response to an unusual request by U.S. District Judge Aileen M. Cannon in Florida. The judge last month ordered the defense lawyers and the prosecutors to file submissions outlining hypothetical jury instructions based on competing interpretations of two laws related to the case.

Special counsel Jack Smith pushed back hard against the judge, saying that the jury instructions were based on a “fundamentally flawed legal premise” and warned that he may appeal if the judge rules against him.

Legal experts say Cannon’s focus on jury instructions seems odd because a trial is not imminent, and the judge still has a number of decisions to make in the pretrial proceedings before the instructions are relevant. They also say the premise of Cannon’s orders indulged some mangled interpretations of laws that have been pushed by Trump’s lawyers and supporters. (The Washington Post)

 

ENOUGH ALREADY, FUCKING ENOUGH ALREADY! How much longer must “We the People” witness Justices, Judges, and Judgements be anything but FAIR. How much longer must “We the People” watch as Jurists who lack experience, who prefer partisanship and politics over THE LAW, who place personal preferences above actual justice, REIGN SUPREME, many enabled to do so for their entire life!

 

Aileen Cannon has a history of distorting the law. She lacks so much experience as a Judge. Imagine for a minute if a first-year doctor, because of who he or she knew, was placed as the Head of Surgery. Imagine if a recent graduate of Engineering was given the responsibility of developing a flight to Mars. It is hard to imagine, BUT yet in America, you need no more resume than playing politics, playing at partisanship, and acting as a puppet.

 

From Gorsuch to Barrett, to Kavanaugh, and to Cannon, it seems that Judges need no experience in the law, just enough experience to placate the rich!
