It's been described as among the deadliest chemical weapons ever made.
But Novichok, the substance confirmed by UK Prime Minister Theresa May to have been used in the attempted murder of Russian ex-spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia, is not merely lethal, it's also highly unusual.
It's so unusual in fact, that very few scientists outside of Russia have any real experience in dealing with it. The substance, which means "newcomer" in Russian, was first developed in secret by the Soviet Union during the Cold War in the 1980s, as a means of countering US chemical weapons defenses.
Upon Trumps awkward and undiplomatic, but very rating priority, a purposeful positioning to his peons that the acceptability of bland, bad, and sheer bull shit filled with classless childish behavior will be accepted by those who DO play by the rules, Mr. Trump was to once reprimanded or insulted by Teresa May, nor was she capable of standing tough enough to Trump insisting that one of the many items he and Putin should discuss would be the murder and attempted murders of British Citizens. But Mrs. May is a product of unscrupulous behavior so why should she even try. I am not a fan of Royalty, but am quite disappointed that the Queen met with Trump and did not stop in her tracks when Trump, void of any decorum or respect pretended the British Troops who took at attention were actually HIS troops.
But here is the real thing for me as an American. First, if Trump meets with Putin, alone or at least with a Russian translator present, but no other Americans, how the HELL I that legal. Should we as an open society (for now at least) have a record of our President’s meeting with anyone? Let's play the pretend game that somehow, we wait a few years for the transcripts to be released, but PLEASE, let there be a record. And secondly, I go to that place, where most Americans still under the delusion that after all this IS America and certain protocols exist, I wonder if the one on one meeting will include, more injections of some kind of tranquilizer that retrains Trump's brain (whatever size that may be) to continue working as a Russian spy, OR more brainwashing and hypnosis (like the Manchurian Candidate) where code words and instructions are once again transmitted. OR Vlad just has more tapes of Trump, Trump Junior, and Mitch McConnell either playing with prostitutes and or accepting bribe money/laundered money for some next Trump empire extravaganza to be about and paid for by Putin.
My point (I love to rant regarding what is blatantly wrong) is that once releases the names of American CIA agents or FBI agents or their associates inciting Russian illegitimate and illegal actions, how many more obscure (obscure to many of us) men and women or family members of American men and women or Russians will suddenly die of having been poisoned by Novichok. How many sudden heart attacks will arise from formerly healthy individuals…how many unpredictable suicides will from hanging or jumping from rooftops be reported. We will be in shock and awe, except on FOX, who will just chalk it up to mental illness, you know THAT disease that causes people not guns to murder. One on one, alone, between Putin and Trump, kind of like hearing that sad story…” hey kid you want some candy, just come into my van…”
