Choose to believe that because the government says, so, it must be fact, we did so as the conflict in Viet Nam flared, being told by Nixon that democracy was at its dire end, if Saigon were to fall, and the whole theory of a Domino Effect would spread to the shores of the West Coast. We were told that anyone against the war was a traitor, that he or she did not love the Flag or the Troops, all similar to the story of athletes taking a knee to protest the segregated treatment by law enforcement toward a population of color. We were once asked if you are now or ever have been a member of the Communist party, by our Government, and now our Government is asking who do you trust more, Vladimir Putin or the Democrats. Laws, upon we are also lectured upon, once created by the Government must be adhered to, laws like water fountains for whites only, colored folk sitting in the back of the bus, property not to be sold to colored, Catholic, Jews or animals. And now, by very savvy folk with tons of private and personal bigotry, hate and discrimination, hacked into office by less than 3 million voters are trying to redefine history, by rewriting the past as fake news and telling lies about the present as facts. And somewhere between then and now a demographic of people so frightened of their own miserable lives and insecurities have found favor with a fraud, smart enough to understand that lemmings will, in fact, fall into a hole and die.
We have to wonder, at times, who we are as Americans. Trump it seems has decided to enable his own private secret army. he has found men and women willing to forget the pains of history and pretend, just because a madman says its law, it should never be disputed, no matter how inhuman, and insidious it has become! Be afraid, I know I am!

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is a law enforcement agency of the Federal government of the United States under the jurisdiction of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). ICE has two primary components: Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). Headquartered in Washington, D.C., ICE is charged with the investigation and enforcement of over 400 federal statutes within the United States and maintains attachés at major U.S. diplomatic missions overseas.
The current Director of ICE is Ronald Vitiello, serving in an acting capacity. The officeholder is appointed at the sub-cabinet level by the President of the United States, confirmed by the U.S. Senate, and reports directly to the Secretary of Homeland Security.[2][3] Until July 2010 the title had been "Assistant Secretary."[4] ICE has recently received substantial criticism over their internment of migrant children into what has been described as detention camps.[5] Ronald Vitiello was named as the agency's Deputy Director on June 30, 2018.
