 PART TWO

“They used to tell me I was building a dream
With peace and glory ahead
Why should I be standing in line
Just waiting for bread?

Once I built a railroad, I made it run
Made it race against time
Once I built a railroad, now it's done…” Brother, can you spare a dime? (Brother Can You Spare a Dime/Yip Harburg)

In November, 14.8 million persons reported that they had been unable to work because their employer closed or lost business due to the pandemic—that is, they did not work at all or worked fewer hours at some point in the last 4 weeks due to the pandemic./ There are currently 21 million unemployed Americans but roughly 30 million Americans collecting unemployment benefits./ Stats show 1 in 2,767 properties! There have been 143,105 US properties with foreclosure filings in the past quarter. Right now, there is a total of 376,052 housing foreclosures in the US./ Seventeen out of every 10,000 people in the United States were experiencing homelessness on a single night. These 567,715 people represent a cross-section of America.  They are associated with every region of the country, family status, gender category, and racial/ethnic group. More concerned about maintaining his Royal Order of Majority Leader, paying homage to his 1%of Domestic Terrorist Donors, living in luxury and surrounded by no one but his Russian Oligarchs, or his wife’s billionaire family, Moscow Mitch, deems those who just want to exist, as non-essential Americans. Yep, the GOP Senators could raise enough of a fuss, to have Mitch place on the floor for discussion and a vote the Stand Alone $2000 Covid Relief Bill, but saying it, makes it safer, for these spineless, Pod People, acting on it, might upset their own 1% donor class or worse the MAGA minions. So, “MUM IS THE WORD.
