WASHINGTON — In the days after President Trump fired James B. Comey as F.B.I. director, law enforcement officials became so concerned by the president’s behavior that they began investigating whether he had been working on behalf of Russia against American interests, according to former law enforcement officials and others familiar with the investigation.
The inquiry carried explosive implications. Counterintelligence investigators had to consider whether the president’s own actions constituted a possible threat to national security. Agents also sought to determine whether Mr. Trump was knowingly working for Russia or had unwittingly fallen under Moscow’s influence. (New York Times)
And yet, and still, and now, and even so…Trump can and do as he wishes to fuck up this nation, most likely following the plans and process established by Putin. Even if the number of Trump’s base is to be believed at 30%. Not 30% of all Americans but of the Republican/Communist Party…and even though more than 3 million more Americans did not vote for Trump…All of us are held hostage, to the blackmailed, self-serving, fearful, men and women in the Congress, who have little disregard for democracy but loyalty to demagoguery, and a demigod!
There ALWAYS comes a time when it IS too late to turn back and decide a different path. I fear that MY country, in which I take great pride and honor, my nation in which I dream of the next generation of MY family and friends to thrive and survive, is dying a dreadfully dreary death. All it takes is a spine and backbone, and it seems the Republican Party is lacking both. Be afraid America, not tomorrow, but right NOW!
