Near the end of the Korean War, a platoon of U.S. soldiers is captured by communists and brainwashed. Following the war, the platoon is returned home, and Sergeant Raymond Shaw (Laurence Harvey) is lauded as a hero by the rest of his platoon. However, the platoon commander, Captain Bennett Marco (Frank Sinatra), finds himself plagued by strange nightmares and, together with fellow soldier Allen Melvin (James Edwards), races to uncover a terrible plot.

A shady man, devoid of business acumen, empty of soul, sinister and ever ready to sell his soul to the highest bidder, easily swayed by compliments and ego stroking, meets a very intelligent monster, able to cripple nations, and capture power by threats, violence, and the knowledge of just how simple-minded, and narcissistic individuals can be blackmailed and made to believe that money is the answer to any and all requests. The nation forfeits the fact that no Tax Return, no Official Records of Business transactions appear, and that somehow huff, and puff make someone eligible for the highest and once most powerful position of the United States…

In law, treason is the crime that covers some of the more extreme acts against one's nation or sovereign. Historically, treason also covered the murder of specific social superiors, such as the murder of a husband by his wife or that of a master by his servant.
The Government Shutdown, along with the various resignations of smart Generals (replaced with eager little minions at the behest of Trump and not the USA), and some civic-minded life-long government professionals in the area of international relations/security/ and domestic work…the instance that divide is greater than consensus…the fact that only family members have security clearances that do not meet the usual standard…the abrupt foreign policy changes…the disparaging of allies…and the rise of good Nazi’s/good White Supremacists/the lack of any checks and balances by a political Party in the Majority…all of this is so easy to understand, when in fact you FINALLY stop pretending that Trump/Pence/McConnell/Nunes/Hannity is not a part of a Putin CELL…A CELL as in a group of Terrorists at the ready to implode and explode the foundations of our democracy…
Keep the government closed, create chaos via, no money, no food, lack of health care…and you have a genuine reason to believe that protests will arise leading to revolt…leading to, one might believe a perfect reason for Martial Law… CONSPIRACY THEORY, huh…take a good look at Trump, a real good look…it ain’t NO THEORY…it is a fact of life or a fact of death toward our democracy.
