hypocrisy and re-election

Hypocrisy and Re-Election 101: Sitting cozily, legs crossed at her ankles, a demure smile on a face hiding death statistics and as the song goes a careless whisper under her breath, playing politics at the expense of people, Governor Kim Reynolds of Iowa, sat in the Oval Office, sans a mask, and perhaps using only two of the five feet of social distancing. In the presence of Pence, and her Lord and Savior Trump, she was being touted as the ROLE MODEL, of Governors and Governor Responses to the CORONAVIRUS Pandemic. All of this, as the COVID-19 is worsening its grip on Iowa and infection rates grows at an alarming rate. Even as Trump was touting this Governor, who was all smiles, and a bit giddy in the company of Trump, her state, recorded 19 more deaths due to the COVID-19, totaling 243. Hoping Iowa will continue to support his candidacy in 2020, ignoring life and death issues, Trump made it clear that THIS GOVERNOR’s actions are how all states should be lead. Kim Reynolds is all about freedom and choice, even if the cost of life means death because it is the ECONOMY. However, no ECONOMY comes to mind, nor freedom of choice if a female decides to choose her right’s regarding her own reproductive actions and her body. And since, for Trump, it has never been about anything but HIS staying out of jail, and remaining the President (he hopes for Life,) Governor Kim Reynolds is the foil, for his fantasy’s and frivolous future!

Gov. Kim Reynolds said she supports a Republican-led effort at the Iowa Capitol this session to add anti-abortion language to the Iowa Constitution. “I’m pro-life. I’ve made it very clear that I’m pro-life,” the Republican governor told reporters Tuesday. “I’m proud to be pro-life. I’m never going to stop fighting on behalf of the unborn.” Reynolds’ comments are about a proposed joint resolution to add language to the Iowa Constitution that would specify that the state does not secure or protect a right to abortion or require funding for it. During the question and answer portion of the event, Reynolds was asked a question about a report from the University of Iowa. The report states experts advised Reynolds last week not to relax social distancing rules, warning that the state could suffer a "catastrophic loss of life'' even with them and see the second wave of infections. She defended her decision to open up parts of the state, saying that keeping it locked down was "not sustainable." "You know when we look at our unemployment claims, we look at the increased food insecurity that we're talking about, we look at the increased mental health concerns that we're having and just from substance abuse to domestic abuse. There are a lot of criteria that go into the decisions that are being made," she said. Asked if she personally would attend farmers' markets or church, Reynolds said: "You know I don't know, but it's a wonderful thing. It's great. You're going to decide, churches are going to decide, it's not a mandate. It's an option. So we have some that are going to continue to stay closed, and that's wonderful." (Des Moines Register)
